  1. Cash for Clunkers Vouchers Taxable to Auto Dealers The IRS has clarified that the vouchers provided to new car purchasers under the "Cash for Clunkers" program are income to the auto dealer. The vouchers represent part of the cost of the vehicle and must be included in the dealership’s gross income. In a typical dealership transaction, a customer may pay for the vehicle in cash, finance the full vehicle price, or finance something less than the full selling price after the application of a cash down payment or a trade-in vehicle allowance. A dealership’s gross receipts include the full selling price of the vehicle, regardless of the form of the customer’s payment. In addition, to the extent the dealership receives any scrap value for the customer’s trade-in, that scrap amount is includible in the dealership’s income. The credit and ultimate payment by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to the dealership under the CARS program is includible in the dealership’s gross receipts from the sale of the vehicle. The dealership must include this income in the year the vehicle is sold. Source The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP)
  2. Not only the Feds. but the states also. CA was just the beginning.
  3. Is this the best they have? Oh and its not health care reform anymore, its health care INSURANCE reform. Anyone have some lipstick!
  4. This is soooo true. Term limits are what we need. Won't happen on a national level. Could a state pass a law to limit terms in Federal Congress? States rights! But then again states have no rights. Lost them along time ago.
  5. I went on the car web site a couple of days ago. I guess my laptop none is government property.
  6. I found this web site as I am also looking for a pocket carry 9mm. Semi-automatics at mouseguns.com It has a spreed sheet that lists a lot of subcompacts of all calibers. My be of help.
  7. Sounds like Barney thinks a single payer health care system is in the works.
  8. I had a friend say almost this exact same thing before the 1980 election. Reagan won anyway. I am not saying she is the next Reagan, but I do think her detractors underestimate her. I don't think she will run for office anytime soon. I do believe she will campaign for any conservative candidate who asks her.
  9. Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander said he was voting for President Barack Obama's nominee despite his differences with her, particularly on gun rights. "Even though Judge Sotomayor's political and judicial philosophy may be different than mine, especially regarding Second Amendments rights, I will vote to confirm her because she is well qualified by experience, temperament, character and intellect to serve," Alexander said in a speech on the Senate floor.
  10. The Dems. are scared of her. She says what most of the middle class thinks. She draws large crowds when she speaks and can raise large amounts of money. During next years congressional races she will be doing just that. This is why the Dems. believe they must stop her
  11. May be going out of town this weekend. If not I'll be there.
  12. Sounds like you turn down the street between Long Johns Silver and Maryville Jewelers. My office is near there.

    NEW SR9

Had the same experience with my SR9. The more I shot it the better it got.
  20. This will be the third one if you count Bush's checks to everyone. What is a definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again that doesn't work! The big problem conservatives have is a leader. No one excites the base. Are we going to be hearing the same thing in 2012 as we did in 2008, Looking for Ronald Reagan or someone like him?
  21. Reagan was a true conservative, Nixon was not. I think this is Palns problem with the Republicans. She has no problem telling it the way she sees it. She is a conservative. I think the upper crust of the Republican party is afraid she would have moved the party back to the right. They don't want that. Look at the fun they had spending the first six years of GWs term.
  22. I was just pointing out Tricky Dick was in bed with the party elite. I don't thank Palin enjoys the same.
  23. I purchased one a couple of months ago. Haven't converted it yet but plan to when I have time. Even not converted its fun to shoot.
