For those keeping score, in Nov. issue of American Rifleman, NRA gave Haslam a B- and McWherter a C-.

Don't forget Haslam was a member of Bloomberg's mayors against guns group. I heard Mike Holloway, use to put on gun shows in Knoxville area, on a radio show really put Haslam down when it came to supporting gun rights. All this being said, is Ned's son any better in this area?

Haslam's statement sounds like someone willing to say anything for a few votes. I don't know anyone who thinks the carry requirements are unfair. Two things to remember, anyone traveling to another state has to have a carry permit and bad guys don't have permits now. I don't think this is an issue.

I have a PM9. Not had any issues to date. I did have a third party mag that didn't work, but all factory mags work fine.

Insurance is an intangible asset. Most of us pay the bill when it comes and never need to use it. It's cases like this that makes someone wish they had paid the premium. I feel for the guy and his family, but it's like anything else, you have to prepare for the unexpected. I pay my Rural Metro bill, fire and ambulance every year. He should have also.

I also pocket carry every day. SP101 or Kahr PM9. I have changed the type pants I wear to Cargos. I have been able to find some that past as casual dress. Most jeans pockets are a little small.
