History question. What was the last time US declared war. Answer 1942. No matter how right or wrong all the wars have been since then, the President did not ask for a decoration of war and Congress has not granted one. All of our "police actions" have taken taken toll. We need to get back to the Constitution.

Press is still not taking him seriously. I don't think he has announced he is running yet.

Must have been the tip.

Interesting

No big surprise. After Obama made him look like a fool at the press dinner, he was done.

He helped Bush lose. "Read my lips no new taxes" and then rising taxes hurt. Also "Its the economy stupid". They made Bush look out of touch with the average person. Remember Bush had a rating somewhere around 80% after the Gulf War and Oil was at a very low price. It was Bush's to lose, it's also Obama's to lose.

I pocket carry mine in DeSantis Holster. I did start wearing paints with larger pockets. Cargos, and Tru-Spec As far as value, it's a good gun I am no expert but I am glad I purchased it.

There's still hope. Obama still has over a year to screw up. George Bush the first managed to do it.

Gun Deaths Higher Among Urban Youth than Adults
greenego replied to MikePapa1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
"On May 9, the Florida state legislature passed a bill that would make it illegal for pediatricians and other physicians to ask patients or their parents whether they have guns in their home. That battle is shaping up as one between the Second Amendment rights of gun owners and First Amendment rights of physicians." The statement doesn't make since. How can the DR's freedom of religion and expression be denied by them NOT being able to ask if a gun is in the household? -
Any ladies try this? I showed it to my wife and she is interested.

I pocket carry my PM9 all the time. Did have to make some wardrobe changes. Pants with larger packets such as Cargos or Tru-Spec work.

Guess Silvers Price Game - Win a Free Silver Eagle

Will be interesting to see what happens. if the dollar strengthens, gold, oil and silver all should drop. I read that Warren Buffett doesn't invest in metals. When asked why, he said it didn't earn anything. -
Guess Silvers Price Game - Win a Free Silver Eagle

They could be right. They could be wrong. if this company is selling silver, they have a lot to lose. Does anyone know what the Hunt brothers are up to these days? Silver manipulation Main article: Silver Thursday Beginning in the early 1970s, Hunt and his brother William Herbert Hunt began accumulating large amounts of silver. By 1979, they had nearly cornered the global market.[6] In the last nine months of 1979, the brothers profited by an estimated $2 billion to $4 billion in silver speculation, with estimated silver holdings of 100 million ounces (6.25 million pounds).[7] During the Hunt brothers' accumulation of the precious metal, prices of silver futures contracts and silver bullion during 1979 and 1980 rose from $11 an ounce in September 1979 to $50 an ounce in January 1980. Silver prices ultimately collapsed to below $11 an ounce two months later. The largest single day drop in the price of silver occurred on Silver Thursday.[1] Hunt filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the Federal Bankruptcy Code in September 1988, largely due to lawsuits incurred as a result of his silver speculation.[1] In 1989 in a settlement with the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Nelson Bunker Hunt was fined US$10 million and banned from trading in the commodity markets as a result of civil charges of conspiring to manipulate the silver market stemming from his attempt to corner the market in silver.[1] This fine was in addition to a multimillion-dollar settlement to pay back taxes, fines and interest to the Internal Revenue Service for the same period.[1] -
President Obama Signs EXECUTIVE Order For Disclosure of Politcal Spending by Government Contractors- Take That Citizens United! Posted on April 21, 2011 by Ametia From Politicususa With A Stroke Of His Pen Obama Strikes Back At Citizens United April 21, 2011 By Rmuse Excerpt: On Wednesday it was reported that President Obama was drafting an executive order that would require companies pursuing federal contracts to disclose political contributions that have been secret under the Citizen’s United ruling. A senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, Hans A. von Spakovsky, lambasted the proposed executive order saying that, “The draft order tries to interfere with the First Amendment rights of contractors.†Mr. von Spakovsky dutifully made all the right-wing, neo-con arguments including bringing Planned Parenthood and unions into the discussion. The draft order did not exempt any entity from disclosure rules and presents a reasonable requirement on contractors seeking government contracts. Several states have similar “pay to play†laws to prevent businesses from using unlimited donations to buy lucrative state contracts from slimy legislators. Thus far the only legislator who has railed against the proposed order was Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). McConnell called the proposal an “outrageous and anti-Democratic abuse of executive branch authority,†and went on to say, “Just last year, the Senate rejected a cynical effort to muzzle critics of this administration and its allies in Congress.†*********************************************************** This means that all companies that sign contracts with the federal government will have to report on the personal political activities of their officers and directore. This would include ALL contributions, expenditures ot or on behalf of federal candidates, parties or party made by the bidding entity. First republican debate this evening.
greenego replied to mav's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Herman Cain did well. First time a lot of people saw him. Ron Paul was Ron Paul. Saying pretty much what he has been saying for the past 30 years. The other three didn't say much at all IMO. I don't think Mr. Cain can win GOP nomination , but could be VP pick. -
