You should look for a 2009 Valor... they are Excellent pistols... I can get about the same groups at 25 yards with mine as my other semi custom 1911's... Dave Severns did a shootout with a few 1911's .. using a Ranson rest and the Valor did fantastic.. Dan Wesson Valor 1.36“ average 5 shot groups at 25 yards.. Win White Box (WWB); Rem Ball (REM), LSWC hand loads (LSWC).

I lived in CT, before I moved to TN, 2 years ago... use to have a yearly membership to the Smith & Wesson range ( 30 min) ride. They would always want to try out my 1911's .. seeing there laws where so stupid.... I would not want to pay the lawsuit in both states... CT or Mass if some one broke into your home or robbed you on the st.. You are getting sued for sure.

Any reliable ( 500-1000) rounds problem free 1911 is a good carry pistol.... In the last 3 years I have used a bunch of different 1911's for carry and no one brand is the best. It comes down to how you like shooting what ever gun you carry. I use a Dan Wesson Valor most of the time now ... it is reliable very accurate and feels great in my hands. The price is hard to beat for what you get plus it is a Tac Driver at 25 yards ... it comes down to yourself and not what others tell you. I have used in the past a.. Nice pistol but it would not do well head up to a Valor in silde to frame fit... parts used .... The Valor is a 1" pistol at 25 yards the Para is around 3's with most ammo...

I have Valor from Dan Wesson and it's the best production 1911 around..... JMO.. The Browns I have are better .. but for the price the Dan Wesson line is fantastic.. 25 Meters at Guns & leather with my Valor
