  1. If a person is willing to let someone commit a crime in order to line their pockets, they are no better than a prostitute or a drug dealer selling crack to children.
  2. Please forgive me for be just a little blunt but, you're an ABSOLUTE IDIOT for not pressing charges. That was stupid.
  3. When water is an issue, my cell phone and my gun go in zip locks. The keep on ringing and banging.
  4. I can sympathize with you on the lack of body mass to conceal your weapon. I'm 5'10", 160Lb. When I try to conceal carry the lump looks like a snake that swallow a rabbit. I can get away with a pocket gun in loose fitting pants.
  5. I was at Wally's world in Murfreesboro the other day and they were out of 9mm. First time I had found them out of 9 in a good while.

I kinda feel ashamed of myself now. I did not take the time to savor what I had. Kinda like being a little thirsty and gulping down a down a $3000 bottle of fine wine.

I heard my neighbor out popping off a few rounds the other day. So I hopped on the four wheeler and went over to see what he was shooting. He had a Wilson 45 cal. Since he twisted my arm, I shot it a few time. Very nice. I admit I'm ignorant. I had never heard of such a critter. I've been doing a little research on them. They seem to be fine guns. I was wondering why I never hear about them around here. Are they just too expensive?

    Rant

Maybe the parka is for sell because he "used" to be a little fella.
  9. A black gentleman I became acquainted with a couple of years ago had traveled through all the states extensively. I asked him where he felt the most racial biased areas of the country were. He said without it was north. Said that even if folks in the south were prejudice, the were still nice to you.
  10. Only problem I've had with the post office is trying to get the mail carrier to close my mailbox. So many time I would come home in the afternoon and find my box wide open. Mail exposed to passers, wet from rain, and blown out. I would call and complain. First I was told my box was mounted too high, so I lowered it. After I lowered it to their specs, the problem continued. Then, they said I had a faulty box. Always worked fine for me, and the post master when we took the time to close it. I finally started turning up the heat. I told the post master that my box was approved by the U.S. Postal service. Which, in turn meant they were supposed to hire people that were at least smart enough to close it. I told him I was going to keep going over his head, up the chain of command, until the problem was resolved. It took a few more phone calls, up the chain of command, but these days my box is always closed. By the way, the post master's solution was for me to buy a more expensive box. I was not about to do that out here on this country road with the box smashers making a target out of any nice looking box.
  11. Just the other day I was reading in a gun magazine about gun magazines. Oh, wait... Nice gun. Hope you enjoy it.
  12. Seems this was posted yesterday and I missed it, sorry.
  13. I carry a gun and don't tell liberal wackos. If I don't ever need it, we'll both be happy. If I happen to need it, I'll be happy I had it (sad I had to use it). If I happen to need it and by chance it helps them, we'll both be happy I had it. No matter, I'll always be happy.
  14. I didn't know that. I started shooting my dads about 30 years ago. I have such fond memories of that gun. It came in real handy when I was a teenager to take out some stupid pesky peacocks that belonged to my grandmother's neighbor. We complaining to him about them but he said there was nothing he could do about their trespassing and pooping on the porch. The neighbor thought that hawks got is peacocks. I've never been called a hawk, .
  15. He probably got that car on his "cash for clunkers" trade.
  16. And, you might try a different brand of valve assembly from a better source. But! You should purchase a box of ammo at Wally world every time you enter as a reward for your frustration.
  17. Just because he's got his back to you does not mean he's fleeing the house. He may very well be heading for cover with plans to shoot back. Can you afford to take the chance? He's already in your home and knows you are to. If he does not exit you are surely in imminent danger. I know there are some "ifs" here, but when the bad guy comes in your home all the "ifs" go out.
  18. Well, after I shot him I approached the assailant only to discover that the firearm was a plastic 1911 replica airsoft gun. When coroner autopsied what was left of the body he discovered that the assailant was strung out on meth and heroin. Long story short, you were correct, it was not a real 1911. p.s. the knife was real.
  19. Went there this fall for the first time. It is a very pleasant place for day hikes. As was mentioned, Stone Door and Greeter falls are both must see destinations.
  20. She will have absolutely no problems passing unless her nerves cause her to hold the gun backwards. No kidding. The written portion of the test is about equivalent to remembering "do you want fries with that". And, the shooting portion, well you could just about throw rocks and pass. Needless to say, I feel that the HCP course is a joke. The course is basically a formality to appease the anti gun folks while capturing a few dollars for the state. However, it will make a person legal and that's about the only reason worth wasting a person's time and money on it.
  21. If I remember correctly, Metro Davidson County was going to put a stop to allowing officers to drive their cars home. It was estimated it would save hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel. They were going to allow them to drive them home if they paid for the honor. Well, turns out Metro does not have the room to park all their cruisers and would have to build parking facilities that would cost way more than the fuel being used. Who's great idea was that?
  22. The officer is probably on some cop blog ranting about his freakin' nosey neighbor.
  23. Out back. Got a big hole that is supposed to be a pond (don't hold water) that has an island. The island makes a most excellent backstop. At the moment I have a 32" metal door with a bad guy painted on it propped up in front of the island. The BG has a gun in one hand (think it's a 1911) and a knife in the other. I keep taping more paper over the center mass once it's full of holes.
  24. If I saw it happening, I'd do whatever I could to help her. I would appear to me that she was in danger for her life.
  25. I couldn't agree with you more! It's so ridiculous it's down right stupid. Also, if you will notice, half the time with TN's warm winter climate it will rain before turning to snow and wash away the brine before the snow ever reaches the surface.
