Found this sign today while out.

I would consider that sign like the ones at the state and federal parks that say "no firearms" and walk on in. Oh, and it's always a good idea to go concealed. -
Yeah, I wouldn't worry in the least about passing the range portion of the test ( or written for that matter). You could almost throw rocks blind folded and pass. It's really easy and non demanding.

I may be wrong, but I believe the main reason businesses, city parks, banks, etc. put up the gun buster signs is they are afraid of the legal ramifications of a civil lawsuit in the event of a shooting, justified or not. With the lawsuit happy and wacky lawyers of our society today, it's a real fear. Add to that some fear losing their $$$ more than their life and you get gun buster signs. Sadly, they are not going away anytime soon. If we were having more physical bank and store hold-ups, and it was really getting into their pockets, it might change. But, if one innocent bystander got caught in friendly fire, it'd all be over with again. My business debit card was hacked not long ago. The bank manager told me that most bank robberies were happening now days by means of ID theft. The threat$ they are feeling are not from the ones coming through their doors. They are only losing pennie$ there.

About two weeks. If you are like me, you'll be checking the mail like a kid waiting for his birthday card from grandma with a dollar bill in it (at least that's how it was when I was a kid). Good luck.

How about that! I was there with you. Have you received your permit yet? I don't know about you, but I enjoyed the instructor.

Just thought I'd share. I just got my carry permit in the mail today. I took the course on the 9th but was not able to get finger printed until 12th due to my schedule conflicts. Not a bad turn-a-round time in my opinion. I was really hoping to have it yesterday because of the outing we had planned today. Turns out Stone Door is a state park and they prohibit firearms.
