  1. I like to use cash to purchase things I don't want my wife to know about. Odds and ends like eating out for lunch, gag gifts, and the occasional little toy. Nothing major. : )
  2. Most of those old cars, even in their original state, were more truck than most of the trucks of today. LOL
  3. There was some Disney movie I believe where the kids called him ole snake eyes.
  4. I was given some free passes for their range.  I threw them in the trash.   I'd rather shoot out back where it's safer and I don't have to pay or play by their rules.
  5. Ask if you'd spend that much on yourself because that's really what you are doing.   The answer becomes easy after you answer that question.   I used to foolishly say in disbelief that there is no way I'd spend that kind of money on a dog.   I now have one laying at my feet that is very near and dear to my heart.   If I knew that he'd be fine and enjoy a reasonable quality of life after a several thousand dollar surgery I'd do it in a heartbeat.
  6. As a guy who loves to joke around and pull pranks,   I will have to say it would probably be best to shy away from this temptation.   It has to the potential to go bad in a hurry.      Every now and then I give in to poor judgement and get burned.   Someone who has certain areas of  justified sensitivity looses it over my lack of judgement,  even though I had no way of knowing they were sensitive in that area to begin with.      Here's a couple of  "what if's".    What if the person who finds the "body"  has had a loved one murdered?   What if the cop who has to check it out has responded to his share of bodies?  On and on it can go.      The nature of this prank could be really funny...  or it could go really bad.   To me,  this one is just not worth it.     I hope you will understand where I am coming from.    I mean no disrespect or ill will in my thoughts.
  7. FedUp trucks tear up my my 300' drive as well.  Other than that,  I really don't have any complaints against them.  They always set packages on my by steps that is under a carport.     The only  fuss I've had with the USPS is that for years they would not close my mailbox.   I complained repeatedly because of mail getting wet from rain and being blown out.  They once said it was because my box was too high.  So I lowered it.   Finally I had enough.   I called the post master.   Told him my mailbox has "USPS Approved" stamped on it and that means he's supposed to hire people smart enough to close it.   That pissed him off real good (I have this philosophy.  If one of us is going to be pissed off,  it might as well be him).    Anyway,  they learn how to close my mailbox and it has not been a problem for the last 10 years or so.
  8. One of the contractors I work for in Murfreesboro installs these in his houses.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0crHkIdsuA8
  9. Some of these are funny.  Some are very accurate.   One that I think goes beyond canning is rapist and child molesters/abusers.  Canning should just be the beginning.  They should then be stoned with 4" stones or larger.  If that doesn't kill them,  hang 'em till death.
  10. Similar situation happened to my father about 15 years ago.   My 80 something year old grandmother lived with him.   She was starting to lose it mentally so some of the things she would come up with were rather far fetched.   Like my swivel office chair used to be her barber style chair she used when she was a beautician and I stole it from her.  And my dads place is on the very outskirts of northern Davidson county, in a fairly rural area.      One morning my grandmother proceeds to tell my dad that there was a man sitting in her car that night, which is parked under the carport by the back door.   Said she went out there and fussed at him but he wouldn't leave.  Said she called the police and they came and removed the man.   My dad was in disbelief.  He argued with her that there was no way that it happened.   Finally, to prove her wrong he called the police station.   I was all true!   The guy sitting in her car was strung out on something.     I now believe anything is possible anywhere.     Also,  as a somewhat humorous incident,  my dad received his invoice from Direct TV one month that was way more than his normal statement.   He called to investigate.   They said it was where he had be ordering some Playboy channel.   He denied it.  They argued well someone in the house has been.  He refuted saying the only other person in the house is his mother and she's in her 80's.  They dropped the charges.
  11. I had an immediate idea of the possible reasoning for the question,  but you guys confirmed it.   Thanks for all the insight.
  12. A friend of mine shared this on social media.   He's retired Army.      So . . . my doctor's receptionist calls to remind me of my appointment, in the morning. She says they have a new form I need to fill out. She then asks, "Do you have any guns in your home?"   Anyone ever heard of such?   Why in the world would a medical doctors office want to know if you have guns?
  13. As Tennessee Ernie Ford would say, "I think there's a polecat in the henhouse!"
  14. I just conceal and keep my mouth shut about it.    I've carried in homes where the peoples college age son was not allowed to call a paint ball gun a gun.  He had to call it a marker.   I've held the babies while carrying of people who are extremely anti.   Ya know,  they didn't even seem to care.     I carry just about  every day, every where except federal buildings and schools.   Never been a problem.
