    G19 question

I've had a Gen 4 G19 for a couple of months now with about 600 rounds through it with no problems. 200-250 rounds were range and the rest have been a USPSA and IDPA match. No problems with mine but I would also call Glock to pick their brain. It's like everything else; there may always be a few issues but for Glock (or anyone else) to know about the issues, they have to be told. Hope it works out for you.
  2. Here's a list on the IDPA website of TN affiliated clubs. International Defensive Pistol Association - Affiliated Club Contact Information I've heard Manchester (just up the road from Chatt) has a very active club and hosts state competitions regularly. http://www.midtnshooters.com/
  3. I was glad to be able to help. Although I think when the "new guy" shows up twice in a row (minus the 3-gun) and helps set up, he should get a time bonus or something...
  4. Enjoyed my first time out (actually shooting this time) and look forward to many more.
  5. Sorry if this was already posted elsewhere- The National Rifle Association is coming to Nashville in May 2015 in what is expected to be the largest single convention this city has ever hosted, Mayor Karl Dean announced today. “They will come in cars they will come in planes, but they will come,†Dean told a luncheon gathering of Nashville area hoteliers at the Marriot Nashville Hotel. “It will be the biggest convention this city has ever had.†The city beat out Philadelphia, Dallas, Kansas City and Louisville for the gathering, which is expected to draw more than 50,000 convention-goers and fill between 5,000 and 6,000 hotel rooms, according to Butch Spyridon, president of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau. They will be meeting at the still-under-construction Music City Center, stay in the not-yet-built Omni Hotel as well as other local hotels. The city is currently negotiating with the NRA to be among a rotating handful of cities who host the group’s annual conventions, Dean said. The city continues on the task of “aggressively pursuing other conventions,†Dean said. NRA convention coming to Nashville | tennessean.com | The Tennessean++
  6. So....what's on everyone's Christmas list this year?
  7. That was a great stage!
  8. Enjoyed today, it can only get better.
  9. Looking forward to coming out tomorrow. This will be my first match (ever), so hopefully I won't emabarrass myself too bad.
  10. Let us know when you're up and going...
  11. Excellent responses; for the most part along the same lines that I was thinking (cost vs customer service and supporting local business). Thanks for the feedback.
  12. What are thoughts about online purchase (budsgunshop.com, gunbroker.com, etc.) versus actually buying from a brick & mortar store? If you know what you want and can get the pistol cheaper (by quite a bit), do you still shop in person to support the local business or just go with the best deal? I'm looking at a couple of small pocket guns and can find both online for anywhere from $50 to $100 cheaper online vs. the store(s). However, after transfer fees, they can sometimes be about the same price. Thoughts? Pros/Cons?

  14. Hello everyone. I'm very new to the sport (all of two months) but have enjoyed learning quite a bit. Looking for my first handgun purchase after completing my HCP class. I'm interested in finding the good spots to shoot and even trying a few competitions/fun & guns in the future. Looking forward to good discussions.
