Glad you got some! My dad knows a guy that works at the Winchester plant and was able to finaly get me 1000 rounds of 9mm. Also got my couisin some .40 and .45. I'm honestly too scared to shoot it now though. I have got back into my guitar playing to pass the crazy times.

I guess I would say my advice would be to not do this if you want your gun to look good. I personally like the way this one looks and feels now but I hated it on the PF9 I did. Not only the feel but the look as well. If you want function then this is for you but don't go in expecting it to look good. It might but if not it is an expensive mistake,

I use a 30W iron with a semi-fine tip. Just a radioshack special. When you look at the above pics you can see that I left alot of small spaces unstippled. I didn't notice this until the pictures really pointed it out. I have since went back and filled it all in. The trick is to not push the iron into the frame. Just let the weight of the iron and the heat melt it. Maybe half a second on each touch. I'll see if I can get some more pics uploaded real quick.

I hate to make a blanket statement because as with any hobbyist there are good folks but I have never encountered a cyclist that didn't rub me the wrong way. And I am usually not guilty of road rage. Saw a guy just yesterday pull his bike right out in front of a car going at least 35-40 mph and expected him to stop on a dime at the crossing. When he almost got ran over he flipped out and started waving his finger (you know which one) and shaking his head. I was watching the whole thing and he pulled out in front of the guy just to test him. :surrender:

Thanks man! I have since went back and "filled in" some spots where I didn't completely stipple every square inch. It looks a lot more finished than what it does in the pics. Everyone that has gripped it say's "Man that's nice."

I believe it does on an actual computer but not on the ipad or iPhone.
-
Yeah I have the home sharing setup but it only accesses my iTunes purchases. If I had match then it would be ideal but I probably won't buy it.
-
Yeah I just figured out how to actually mirror last night. I am referring the accessing my iTunes library from the apple TV. I don't have iTunes match but I am thinking if I did I would be able to access all of the music on my iPhone. I know with a Mac/PC though I can stream straight from the Mac/PC.

Well I ended up going with the Apple TV. I can't really take full advantage of the airplay because all we have is an iPad and iPhones but once I get a Mac it will really be useful. The netflix and Hulu apps are much faster and easier to navigate than the ones built in my surround sound receiver. Overall I am happy with it.

I also agree with this but I like netflix FOR the old stuff. I like to find an old TV series that has run it's course and watch it all the way through without waiting a week in between episodes (Battle-star Galactica, Lost, etc.). All the new movies are remakes of the old movies anyways.

Yeah Krull has a more elaborate setup than what I want. I will have over-the-air antenna wired up to the living room and bedroom TV's and will only have netlfix ($7) and probably one or two shows I will buy the season pass for. I will come out WAYYYY cheaper than $1000 a year for DTV.
-
Oh yeah SOME of it is that. I just paid it today actually but it was only $75. Not sure where the extra $30 or so dollars came from but glad to have it. I know I'm not actually SAVING $100 but it sure feels better than having to pay $160 on top of this months bill. haha
-
Wow just got some good news. Apparently I have about $100 worth of prorated charges on my DTV account that will be credited back so I only have to pay around $50 to cancel the service. I was scared it was going to be astronomical since my past dealings with cell service providers have been that way. Will probably go to best buy and see if I can play around with the Roku's and the Atv.
-
On the phone with DTV now cancelling! They are only taking me for $160 on the cancellation fee........ I did "sign" on the dotted line though.
-
Yeah the main thing I like about the Apple TV is the ability to use airplay and stream the ipad or mac to the tv. If it wasn't for that I'd be looking at the roku. I only need one box so I don't mind springing the extra $50 for the Apple TV. I think you answered this but you DO have to wait usually around one day for the shows to show up? From what I looked at the season pass or individual shows are offered from itunes.

As the title states I am looking to get some opinions on the Apple TV service. I am getting ready to cancel my DirecTV service as I just can't stand paying $100 a month for three or four shows that I watch. It looks like with this box not only can I watch netflix streaming but I can buy season passes for my shows and reasonable prices. I am wondering if anyone who uses these knows if the shows are available to watch the same time as they are available on DirecTV/Dish. I don't mind waiting an extra day for them to be available but don't want to wait months for them to release them. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

MAD MEN!

Just awesome.

That is debatable for me now after that "Finale" if you can call it that. :squint:

To me the whole Zombie thing is just a fun way to talk about preparing for real world disasters. Most of the skills or stuff that you would need in a Zombie apocalypse would be beneficial in most any other disaster situation. Zombie are just the hot topic right now but if I had to describe the fascination in one phrase it would be "Different strokes for different folks."
-
Yeah I liked that part too. Shows he is coming out of his craziness. If he gets back to "normal" I think it will improve the show alot. With him all crazy for most of this season it left me looking for a "lead man" in other characters and they just weren't doing it.
-
All the towns people will be mass slaughtered in the next season. Probably first episode. By zombies or the gov.
-
Chances R it was something to do with the load. (See what I did there? :pleased: ) Not saying it wasn't the gun but it's awful coincidental that he was using reloads and is a new loader. Mistakes happen even to non-idiots.

Looking for some practice advice on Guitar.

You mean those pickups aren't going to make me play better?? CRAP! I did a lot of reading last night about how folks like to learn the fretboard and one guy recommended learning where one note is all over the fret board one note at a time (if that makes since). So basically start with E and learn where it is everywhere on the board. The play some scales off of it and once I get it down move to the next note. Sounds like a good "structured" way that would work well with my brain haha. I want so badly to take lessons but it just isn't in the cards at the moment. Not really a money issue as lessons are about $100 a month. All of the well known teachers in the area are booked up in my available time slots.
