  1. Maybe it hung on the test fire and they polished the ramp a little and shot a few more times? Then just didn't clean it and boxed it up?
  2. I actually just ordered my second TCP and when I opened it it was covered in oil but did not have any residue in the barrel or on the mag like your pics. Just lots and lots of oil.
  3. "Farts are always funny!"  5 stars to whoever can tell me what recent show that was from.
  4. I think the V-Rod was an attempt by Harley to make the most uncomfortable bike in the world.
  5. I can confirm this as well. I went through this a few months ago when setting up service with them. We recently decided to drop the TV portion (no contract) and just keep the internet. When I plugged the cable into the TV and scanned I got nothing.
  6. They must have broken theirs from repeated use.
  7. I concur. I didn't realize how much crap I have until I filled the biggest truck Ryder had with stuff left over.
  8.
  9. Now that may not be how it works. Just guessing though.
  10. Maybe an avereage? When I look at another members profile I can choose 1-5 stars. Looks like someone doesn't like you very much.  :pleased:  I guess one start is better than none though!
  11. Does Protech does the scrimshaw work themselves? I know they had to send these off to be anodized but if he is making a "prototype" Godfather to show first I assume they can do it all in house.
  12. Nah mine will mostly be used to make noise. Open...close...open...close.
  13. I plan on getting either the 5 or 6 in October when I make a trip to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I just can't decide. What made you choose the 5 over the 6?
  14. Before long it will be: Rockeye in front right pocket. Godfather in front left. ?? in rear pocket, etc.  :usa:
  15.   With a gun, holster, extra mag, flashlight, wallet, keys, and a phone what an extra couple of ounces?    My wife laughs every day when I "unload".
  16. That's pretty cool then!
  17. Is that the original blade shape on the top one or is it broken?
  18.   WOW those are expensive! Pretty cool though.
  19. I got it off! Just had to center the sight in the vice and give it a GOOD smack. Broke a piece off of the nylon punch but it came off. Got all the internals sanded and polished and the trigger is a lot smoother. It amazing how rough the striker block chamber was in this one. It grinded all the way up. The apex is a great kit but in this one the polish is good enough for me. It should smooth out more with wear. Thanks for all the offers.
  20. So will brass really not scar it up? I know the tape is to help prevent that but is it really that much softer? My nylon punch normally does the job.
  21. Thanks for the offer Wilee. I just read that some of them actually have loctite under the slide as well. I'm gonna give it one more go tonight with heat to the sight and the nylon punch and see what happens. I'm just scared to use any type of metal punch on them for fear of scarring it.    If I can't get it I may take a ride out there and meet you. I'll let you know either way. If I were putting new sights on this wouldn't be an issue. I just can't justify them on this gun.
  22. I am wanting to remove my rear sight so I can remove the burrs from the striker block channel. I have no interest in putting on night sights so I want to preserve the rear sight.   I have got the set screw out by heating it with a soldering iron but the sight itself won't budge. I am comfortable using a nylon punch on it but don't own brass punches and honestly don't want to mar the finish with a mistake.   If you have one I would be glad to come to you and buy you a beer or your drink of choice to use it. Just PM me.
  23. Sweet. I've shot it before but was loaded to the 10 round limit and remember only shooting a few out of the second mag. I know it's not a gaming gun but I'd rather just shoot what I carry.
