  1. I recently decided I am not happy with my little .380's as a pocket pistol for myself and purse pistol for my wife. I will be looking to get a J-Frame or two this Christmas and was overwhelmed by all of the different models S&W offer. I would want one with a shrouded hammer but past that I just want the lightest and smallest for myself and whatever would be comfortable for my wife and still fit in a purse pocket. I have read they are making them without the internal lock now so that's a plus. Any information that would help me decide would be appreciated.   Also I prefer not to look at the LCR's I have heard they have great triggers but I'd prefer to have all metal even if it has to be an air weight.
  2. Yeah I have a feeling one neighbor won't mind at all (looks like lots of cool toys in his massive garage). The other I'll have to check with but like you said it's not illegal. I just want to be polite about it.
  3. I actually saw those for the first time the other day. Don't remember the brand but I think they were priced close to the Wilderness ($40 or so). Didn't feel to thin though. I'd still go with the proven track record of the wilderness. May as well spend the extra $5 and get the 5 stitch though. I have had no issues at all with my 3 stitch but hey it's only $5.
  4. I also have a Wilderness instructor belt (3 stitch) I wear most days. When I am going for a tucked in look I have a black leather belt from RG Leather. It's thicker than the wilderness belt and impossible to bend.
  5. Yeah I plan to go introduce myself and let them know I like to shoot so not to panic if they hear it. Also only during normal hours unless it's a .22 at a pest or something. Just wanting to make sure it was technically legal. As you said though as long as the neighbors don't mind or get aggravated I doubt it will ever be an issue.
  6. I'll be moving to lebanon next month and will not be in the city limits. Can't find anything addressing this but I should be able to shoot on my property shouldn't I?
  7. Yes. She was in the preview.
  8. I bought them from ameriglo on their site. For a glock 19 if that matters.
  9. I gotta admit when he was at the top of the mountain on that very small peak my mind was saying "Do it! Jump! Jump!".   Sadly they just cut away.
  10. Funny some guy has a GW-6900 posted for sale on here too. I like the square look myself. If I ever get another one it will be square.
  11. Didn't realize until just now but the white ring around my front tritium vial is photo-luminescent. That bad boy is hard to miss in the dark if it happens to be charged. Can't see an instance where it would ever be charged when I needed it but cool anyways.
  12. I just installed them. I find that if I focus on the front sight the elevation kind of lines itself up. I like them.
  13. I like the idea of a fiber optic front but not on a CCW. I've been through two of the Williams Firesights on other guns from the rod breaking. I know some manufacturers probably encase them better but I just don't want to chance it.
  14. I honestly didn't expect more than one person if any to say they did this. I am not sure why though.
  15. That's my thought. If it isn't there I can't try to focus on it. I have so much trouble focusing on the front sight. I'm going to spend some of my vacation next week trying to remedy that. I have always used the sharp target blurry sight picture method.
  16. I just purchased a set of Ameriglo Protector sights (Front sight tritium, rear sight black) and am wondering if anyone else carries with this type of setup. As I've found with anything online some praise it and some think it's stupid. Myself I have always liked their i-dot sights but never found myself paying much attention to the rear small dot. I should have them in tomorrow so hopefully I like them!
  17. Dude that's nice. Looks better than it would have new in my opinion.
  18. I've always been afraid of those trail cams. If I ever got a shot of ole' sasquatch I may never do another evening hunt again. :pleased:
  19. There would HAVE to be a video here. I can't think of a big box store that doesn't have a camera at the entrance. If the video doesn't surface or the cameras were "off" that day then I would wager it went down just like the guy claims.
  20. Must be the extra weight of the match on the front helping it fly straight. Either way pretty cool! I have been wanting one of those USB powered desktop launchers for a while now but this is just as cool.
  21. Have you tried adding fletchings to the matches?
  22. Yeah probably cheaper to buy and easier to sort lots of that one size box than a bunch of different smaller sizes. I don't have any doubt they do it the cheapest way possible.  :pleased:
  23. My next Glock will be a .45. I just have to decide which one!   Edit: I have owned a 36 before but just didn't care for it.
  24. Yeah after looking online it seems if you take their advanced armorers course you get a tour but I won't be doing that anytime soon. Not worth a trip to me just to get an updated mag and a few springs and such. I'm just ready to go shoot this thing. I have been hung up on M&P's for a year or so now but I gotta say this Glock feels better in my hand than I remember.
  25. I am contemplating going down there on my vacation in Oct. Do they do any factory tours or anything?
