  1. So to maximize my space in the shop I have decided to go with a one or two brick wall mounted propane heater and run the line through the outside wall to a 40 or 100 lb tank. With that said what tank size would you go with? Obviously the 40lb would be easier for me to transport around to fill but I have no idea how long I can expect a tank to last. I would just kick it on once I go out there. I doubt it will take long to heat up as the shop is fully insulated.
  2. Was it owned by someone special or something? :stunned:
  3. True. Lot's of folks think you are cheating the insurance company by doing this but this makes sense.
  4. I would suggest if you get the work done now to use the guy you know and trust. Make sure the work is done right while you still can. Not saying the other big name body shops don't do good work but I have seen a few that cut corners.
  5. Nope.....just....nope.  :puke:   The high point has been dethroned.
  6. I believe you are right.
  7. Well we just about have it clean and I can tell the smell is fading. I cleaned the carpets yesterday and the wife has cleaned every room but the living room top to bottom. I am for sure going to Kilz and paint the ceilings and probably just kilz everything. It's almost scary how nasty this house was even though it seemed relatively clean. It really does feel like a different house now that it's clean.
  8.  Riiiiiight. She will honestly do most of the painting but I will help. My concern is just crud bleeding back through the paint. If we clean the walls that shouldn't happen but you never know.
  9. But do those paints have "real" primer in them? That always seemed kind of suspicious to me.
  10. Yeah I don't have high hopes for cleaning it. It's probably just going to have to be primed and painted.
  11. Isn't that the one you can crumble in your hand if you squeeze hard enough?    To the OP: It's hard to fault a $5 knife. You could afford to stash those around and not worry about them.
  12. By my calculation he could buy 28 of these for the price of one of those......but these don't have a button.  :pleased:
  13. Also my ceiling is the textured kind. Not the popcorn stuff but almost like plaster. Whats the best way to clean/paint that?
  14. So you think as long as we clean with TSP we can forgo priming? I just don't want anything bleeding back through our paint. I mean some of these paints have primer in them supposedly. We will also be painting the trim if I didn't mention that but that shouldn't need priming.
  15. So we FINALLY closed on the house yesterday and after getting in and removing blinds and all that along with the walls being bare I will be painting for sure. And I'm gonna do it the right way. We will be cleaning the walls with TSP then priming it with oil based Kilz.   My new question is what paint brand you guys would recommend. I have read online that Sherwin Williams is about the best but I don't have any illusions of doing it all in one coat and if I can save $5-$10 a gallon with Lowe's or Home Depot brands I'd be happy. What say you?
  16. Yeah I was just messing' with him. I don't have a problem paying more for good optics. I think the Vortex will serve me well though. They're prices haven't inflated too high yet for the value.
  17. I just got the lower home and assembled it with the sling. I like it! I have never had a cotton sling and not only do I like the look but I like the feel too. It locks in tight when I wrap it around my forearm. If it doesn't work out I'm not out much but I can't see that happening.
  18. I just received mine in from the guy shown in my first link and it is a solid strap. Although I have never seen a GI sling this one is built well with heavy hardware and I have no reason to assume it's not GI. Runco if you still want one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
  19. I wonder what MOA dot Jerry Miculek was using on his revolver when he hit that balloon at 1000 yards?
  20.   Ice cream is my kryptonite. I will eat a bowl after every meal if I have it in the house.
  21. The 4 MOA dot on the strikefire is what sent me to the SPARC. I like everything better about the strikefire except that.
  22. $140 is a little easier to stomach for me and probably others.  :yuck:
  23. I wouldn't have an issue getting a dozer out there and pushing a grade down into a dirt mound but there are flat rocks the size of my car in the ground back there and I just don't see them moving easily.  :pleased:
  24. I have my eye on the aimpoint PRO but just don't want to fork out that much dough until I am sure I like a red dot. I feel the vortex is the right balance between value and cost at this point for me. If I don't like it I can always sell it.
