  1. Not a bad price either. At that price I may just buy two when I get to that point and put one on this gun.
  2. I had a PCR at one time with a Cajun Gun Works trigger kit I installed. It was a fine shooting gun that felt amazing in my hand but it just wasn't comfortable for me to carry. I also had trouble manipulating the slide as fast as a Glock because it isn't big and square like a Glock.   With that said I would trade my Gen 2 G19 for it any day because it was a very sweet shooting gun. One I hate that I let go. Just wasn't practical for me to carry.   I would buy another Glock though for carry.  :pleased:
  3. Yep I agree that I should be on the very low side. I am just confused why a normal xm855 round puts the brass right where it's supposed to go but a supposedly lower power round seems to be over-gassed. Maybe over-gassed doesn't necessarily correspond with a hotter load??
  4.   This data was actually from Hodgdon's website/loading tool. It does not have specific options for each bullet type so I just went by the bullet weight.
  5. Kentucky (Maker's Mark) is where it's at guys.... :pleased:
  6. I plan to put an adjustable on my blackout build but probably won't put anymore into this one. Maybe one day though. As long as it's not going to really hurt anything then I'm OK with the brass landing neatly to my right at the range rather than behind me for someone to sweep up.
  7. The fact I can't get over is that those loads barely fill over half of the case. I can hear it sloshing around in there.  :pleased:  I guess there is a big difference in whatever powder Lake City and Perfecta use.
  8. I'm gonna try to get a chronograph soon but don't have one yet. So forwards ejection basically means higher pressure? I just find that hard to believe with such a small charge but I guess there are many variables. They were actually doing this with the starting load of 21 grains. Maybe a little more to the 3 oclock spot though now that I think about it. I'll try some with the CFE223 and see what happens.
  9. The brass on the last reloads I shot were ejecting forwards around the 1-2 o clock range. Every other factory load I have shot through it ejects at the normal 4-6 range. Seems that most folks say it is "over gassed" but I am not sure I understand what that means.   The last load was a 55gr Vmax and a 75 gr bthp. Both with 21.5 grains of H335. The starting load was 21 with a max of 23.   Any ideas? Anything to worry about?
  10. Haha yep I had to re-educate myself on hay vs straw. I did actually purchase and use straw. I am contemplating the landscape fabric as well. Just wanted to see how the straw does initially.
  11. I think I will wait out another week on replanting the dead ones. The majority of the garden is OK because I did seeds. The cabbage and lettuce plants seem OK too. My guess is onions and potatoes weren't hurt by it. This whole planting season will really just be a learning experience for us and I'm sure I will find better ways to do things next year. The PVC arches are a good idea!
  12. Luckily I only have about 10 plants to buy and not 50. Live and learn I guess. I just tried to get in a hurry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wonderful. JUST planted everything yesterday and got a frost last night. Tomatoes, squash and peppers are dead. Everything else is good though. Cost me $50. Ugh. I didn't know anything about another frost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So I just saw something interesting. I saw where a guy used 30lb test fishing line as an alternative to an electric fence for deer. The premise is that the deer can't see it and they will bump into it and spook. Anyone tried this? I just don't want to shell out hundreds on an electric fence setup if I can find a better and/or cheaper way.
  15. So I guess the question is will you get caught???  :pleased: Mine don't make much noise.
  16. Ain't that the truth. I've been married 5 1/2 years now and looking back just 3-4 years ago I'm amazed at how much we have grown as a couple and individuals. I guess it's all a journey and not a destination. Best of luck to ya'll.
  17. The scary thing is I remember seeing those online but forgot about them.
  18. I'm gonna walk the whole darn thing.
  19. bummer
  20. I also meant to ask if anyone has used anything with a comparable;e grip angle in a grippier texture.
  21. I'll second this. Crush run or whatever they call it is good stuff. It's not the cheapest but once it set's up after being driven on it's solid. I will say that if it is poured too thick you will tend to leave ruts in it when driving on it which are hard to get out without equipment.
  22. I have fell in love with these grips. I just can't seem to like the standard grip angle of most grips after using this one. Makes me wonder why it wasn't designed like this before. I just bought a LPK from PSA with this included but they only had ODG so I guess I will be doing a colored build.  :pleased:
  23. Only seeds I am planting are corn and some beans. Potatoes are large enough that they won't wash. Everything else is a plant.  That makes me feel better.
  24. I'll be there Saturday afternoon.
