  1. I would take a Toyota any day but I recently a 2004 Silverado single cab LWB 4WD. Nice looking truck with a few dings and scratches but the interior was in awesome condition and it runs really good. It has little rattles and squeaks here and there but it's a heck of a truck for the money. It's all a gamble in that price range to me but I've honeslty had good luck with Ford , Chevy and Toyota. Never owned a Ram/Dodge.
  2. We saw probably less than 20 folks going in. A lot more coming in as we were leaving. It took us about 5 hours to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Well we made it! It was a lot tougher than I expected but we enjoyed it. We did all of the side trails except for the the top of the falls. The overlook was awesome. I think if we do it next time we will camp one night. Going in and out on the same day is tough.
  4. Hey at least you got it done and don't have to worry about it now.  :pleased: From what I just googled it shows it went down in April of last year so that must be it. Just an old message they didn't take down.   I just can't believe I missed that sale. I mean I got a pretty good deal on my barrel but not as good as what you got. I am going adjustable though on the block so I don't feel as bad about it.
  5. I plan to get a Tundra as my next truck so don't throw them out of the game if looking for full size. Yes they are expensive as well but the new ones are just plain awesome.
  6.  Man it's all about the journey and not the destination. Once I figured that out I understood why my grandpa had so many radio parts and very few radios.
  7. I have no doubt they will take care of you. The few times I've called them wasn't for warranty work but they were very nice and helpful.   Name dropping Jerry Miculek can't hurt your chances haha.
  8. Sounds like a later model Tacoma with a 4 cylinder would fit the bill. The older ones have smaller cabs but I owned a newer single cab not too long ago with plenty of room. I'm 6'2" and was never uncomfortable. They are pricey though. Usually as much if not more than a like model Chevy or Ford.
  9. Cool. I do have a good flashlight so hopefully we can see a sasquatch or something in there.
  10. So the cave's are open to the public? I thought I had read where they weren't.
  11. Are you just basing that off of there site? I can't find anything anywhere else that says it's down. Even the ATF efile site seems to be up and going. Unless it just gives you an error message when you try to file or something. I didn't file until the 18th of this month though so I was well into April.    If you haven't you may go ahead and give it a shot.
  12. Ha ha I think they have a few more vulgar terms nowadays. Although I'm not sure if I'm still considered a kid so I may not be up to date.
  13. Sure was. I mean I had done it before but not on a more expensive gun. AR's aren't anything special though and I hope I have a long life ahead of me to buy plenty more.   I used brakleen (chlorinated I guess) on mine and a little of it had pooled up in the grip. When I took it down from the hanger this morning it dripped out onto the guard and the paint came right off. Of course it hasn't cured yet.
  14. Sounds like I might need to take a blanket for a nap at the falls!
  15. Well you will do a form 1 e-file for the SBR so I think you are good.
  16. Nothing like that is mentioned on the ATF site. It's possible that Silencer Shop only means for Form 4's since that seems to be all they report on.
  17. The wife and I are planning on getting up early Saturday and riding down to hike this trail. We will obviously be carrying food and water for the hike but I am wondering how strenuous of a hike it is.
  18. Also meant to ask you what you use to clean the gun. I have read CLP won't strip the paint. I'm sure Hoppe's will take it off though.
  19. Hmmm I don't see anything about E-File form 1's on there. There is a weird message about the ATF not taking any more e-file submissions though. Hopefully it won't take too long for your suppressor. I'm anxious to see how you will like yours. I am eyeing the same model.

  21. Man that looks good. And it had the "real" worn look and not the fake look some try to emulate. I still find myself babying this gun even though it's a cheaper build but this should take care of it. I actually went ahead and bit the bullet and di mine last night before I saw these pictures. I just used a couple of pieces of pine straw on mine so my outlines aren't as defined but that's what I was going for. All I have around my house are cedars and hackberrys and those wouldn't work too well. The wife said "It looks good but I can't believe you painted a $1000 gun". Not sure where she got that number from but more like $600 haha.
  22. Cool. I've done one before but it was a cheap .22lr. I don't mind some wear. Makes it looks like you actually use it. I just don't want paint coming off in big flakes. As with anything paint it's all about the prep.
  23. Any updates on how yours is holding up? I am getting ready to do mine and am just wondering if anything else should be taped up on it? I'm going to do the trigger but not the serial number or anything like that. Surely a small bit of paint won't effect how my MBUS's pop up.
  24. Wow that's pretty. I don't think I'd like the handle but the blade shape and look is gorgeous.
  25. I liked it a lot as well.
