What a bunch of crap. Sometimes you have to give the people what they want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I ended up with bfg ko2's. I looked at those and the coopers and really liked them both but they didn't have coopers in my size. I also got what I thought was a good deal on the bfg's and so far I'm happy. The vibration is gone from what I can tell. The truck rides like a log truck anyways so it's never gonna be a Cadillac ride but I couldn't take the shake. The tires do seem to have a little more give to them left to right at highway speeds but I assume that's just a softer compound in the sidewalk. I have also read that squirleyness may go away after a few hundred miles. I had a great experience with discount tire and feel like if I have problems they will take care of me. Only question I have now is what psi to run. They put 60 in the front and 80 in the back which is what the truck calls for with factory tires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I assume you have a level kit and aftermarket wheels? I was wanting a larger tire but can't seem to find any bigger with the 18" wheel that would fit stock.

I am also interested in Toyo tires. Ram owners seem to say they are the best in ease of balancing.

2015 Ram 2500. I had issues with vibrations at highway speeds when I first got the truck. Had them balanced and it went away. 10k miles later it's back. I had them balanced again today and it didn't go away. The tires I have now are Firestone Transforce HT with 41k miles on them. Plenty of tread left but I;m tired of messing with them and am looking at going with something a little more aggressive anyways. I like the looks of the BG KO2, the Nitto Terr Grappler and the Cooper Discover ATP. I plan on going to Discount Tire and having whatever I get road force balanced. Anyone have any suggestions? These will be Load Range E tires.

Yep. Hard to beat bullseye. I load both .45 ACP and 9mm with it. Someone told me that BBI doesn't recommend titegroup with their rounds because it makes them smokey. Didn't come from the horses mouth though.

In the market for a new competition belt...
maroonandwhite replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
That's what I figured. Just wanted to know for sure. I'll go ahead and get the 5 stitch with insert. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'm not a member but I'll be shooting IDPA matches there regularly.

I have been using a "The Wilderness" instructor belt for the past year or so in IDPA and am looking at upgrading. Mine is the 3 stitch model. I have been looking at the CR Speed or Double Alpha type competition belts since I am sure I'll get into USPSA soon and these seem to be the obvious choice for holding a lot of mags and a holster. I am wondering if any of you guys who own one can shed some light on how thick the inner portion of these types of belts are. I am wondering if I could use the inner portion of the belt for IDPA and run the whole setup during USPSA. I have a feeling it may be too thin and if so I'll just buy the 5 stitch Wilderness belt with the insert and deal with USPSA gear when the time comes.

Go ahead and start a claim. You still attempt to get the item through the claim process. If you don't though you escalate it and get your money back. Need to go ahead and get the process started though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Engraving for ar lower
maroonandwhite replied to ls-vtec's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Check the trophy shops. A lot do engraving. I had mine done in Nashville before we moved so I'm not much help. Mine was sandblasted in and turned out very smooth and professional looking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I also signed up for squad 9 at the MS state match if anyone wants to shoot with me. I know that's a long way out but I won't dare miss another sign up haha. I didn't see where they were doing squad requests either. I guess they are doing it the day of???

Only about a 3 hour drive from my house here so I'm gonna get up extra early and just go up that day.

It is actually a factory spring but from what I have read Ruger uses an 18lb spring on these. I plan at some point to experiment with a factory 16lb but it has ran like a top lately so I figured why mess with it. It actually takes a fair amount of pressure to drop the slide using the release come to think of it. I may order another spring and experiement. Once my M&P Pro comes in I'll try it on that as well. Like you said though it's probably gonna take some shooting to break them in.
-
I have been experimenting with using either hand to drop the slide on a fresh mag and am just wondering what most of you guys do? I'm talking competition shooting here too so I am assuming that most don't rack the slide. I find that going back and forth between an M&P and 1911 would lend itself better to support hand due to the fact that I cannot get a 1911 to drop with my strong hand without drastically changing my grip. I do however have a faster reload with my M&P using my strong hand. I realize that can change with practice though. Just wondering what everyone else is doing or trying.

How in the world did I miss registration for this?!?!?! :wall:
