  1. I'm ready for zombie Shane. He is basically the antagonist now though so until someone else (won't spoil it for those who don't know) comes along I don't see anything happening to him.
  2. Hey guys. I just became the owner of an emaculate S&W 5946 and I am wanting to lighten up the trigger pull without reducing reliability. I am hoping someone on here has some experience with this particular model. I have read on other forums it is just a matter of changing out the hammer spring or trigger spring but as I said I don't want to impede reliability. Any opinions and advice are welcome. Even if it is just to leave it alone and deal with it. But please elaborate either way. Thanks!
  3. Well after reading a little more I came across Fretboard Logic. The book was cheap at around $13 for volume 1 and 2 in one book so I am going to try it. I'm sure I will follow it up with a dvd course of some type. Does anyone have any experience with this book? It sounds like it offers what I am looking for which is a good base and understanding of everything.
  4. Lot's of good info here guy's. Kepp it coming as I haven't made up my mind yet. I am leaning towards the gibson set but want to do a little more research before spending that much. I looked at some rock house method on youtube last night and unless it has improved over the last 20 years I don't think it really goes in depth enough on some of the more advanced stuff.
  5. I too shot Golden Sabre's out of it.
  6. Yeah my problem is no one is close. I have a block of time I could devote to lessons but no one reputable in my area that I know of.
  7. That's my problem. I don't have the time!!
  8. I have played that over at my cousin's house. While it could be a good tool it's not really what I am leaning towards. Thanks for the advice though.
  9. I owned and carried one for a while. I really liked it for what it was. That doesn't answer your question but I hope it makes you feel better about your purchase! Look up a "fluff and buff" on it on the kel-tec forums.
  10. I know there are a few guys on here who play the guitar so hopefully you can help. I have been playing casually for almost 13 years now and consider myself pretty good. I can of course play any song with just chords. I know one or two scales but can't read music (other than tab), don't really know any in depth theory, and am kind of in a rut. I want to develop further but don't want to take lessons from someone. Can you recommend any of the printed material or DVD sets? I saw one called Rock House Method that most seemed to like but I don't know anything about them and would prefer not to waste my money haha. I am looking to learn anything from Blues/Rock to country. Thanks!
  11. I created a monster! Haha another round of these would be nice. Sounds like we have enough interest. Parrothead you should pm David and see if you can get the file for the design and let your buddy make some up.
  12. Thanks. I've got one coming!! If anyone else wants one feel free to hijack the thread and ask for one. Thanks again!
  13. haha yeah. David had some made up in 2010. Hopefully there are some spares floating around.
  14. I just got a new vehicle and would like to have a TGO decal to put on it. I bought one back when we ordered them but used them all up. Anyone have a spare they would'nt mind parting with? PM me if you do. Thanks!
  15. Thanks. I just wanted to be sure of the facts before I started a conversation on it.
  16. Yeah. I guess I am just wondering what happened. As with any story there is usually another side to it. I would like to get all the facts but I couldn't find the exact thread here. Just begine nosey I guess haha.
  17. This guy will probably flame me for this on the posted site but I missed it on here so feel free to discuss! tngunowners.com - Tacoma World Forums
  18. Thanks for the info. That was my big concern was not hunting close to anyone else.
  19. I saw another thread on here about making a sling out of 550 paracord and it sparked my interest. I thought it would be cool to get a list of uses both simple and complex of paracord. I am new to it so I won't be able to start the list but I'm sure some of you on here have some good ideas. Also if you could post a link or show pics if it is something complex that would be great! You never know when something you saw on TGO will come in handy.
  20. I am in a dillema and need some advice. I moved to TN two years ago when I got married. I lived and hunted in MS before that. I have been hunting on my in-laws land since the move but due to other people hunting on the land (that's another story) I have chosen not to hunt there anymore. I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice or tips on public land hunting. I am completely new to it and don't know if you would normally use rifles, shotguns or just a bow. I also do not know of any good locations in my area. I live in Moscow, TN which is right next to the Wolf River WMA but again I don't know where to begin. Anyone with experience on the matter would be greatly appreciated! My only other alternative would be to join a hunting club.
  21. I believe alot of stores stated they would honor black friday prices after the fact so that may be an incentive to stay home.
  22. Was gonna try to snag my boss a $200 43" TV from best buy but I have given up the hope that I would get one. I am not camping out. May try to snag a few cheap blurays and let the wife do her thing at JC Penny
  23. I would defiantely recommend the gun so far. From what I read on taurus armed most of the problematic serial number runs ended with an "A". I have the "B" series by what they are calling it.
  24. She did very well in the class. The instructor was surprised at how well she shot with that short little barrel. She has put about 350 rounds through it since we got it a few days ago and she broke it down and cleaned it last night by herself. I told her if she wasn't absolutely happy with we could get something else but she loves it! She also shot a few of the instructors guns to compare to. I am very proud she has taken an interest in guns and carrying! As far as ammo goes I picked up some Golden Sabres and they function just fine. I shucked a full magazine through it about ten times and it didn't choke once. Those Critical Defense rounds are a little longer just by looking at them.
  25. Yes she did pick it out. She is taking her HCP class today with it! Hope she does well!
