  1. I read from the CDC website that I could safely get it as soon as I met the requirements to break quarantine. It’s kind of a gray area though I’m sure. I only had a fever for the first day and a half and just figured I was well enough to get it. I think some believe that the natural antibodies are sufficient for a while and others say the vaccine will up the protection beyond the natural antibodies from the virus. All I know is I don’t want it again and wanted the vaccine ASAP.
  2. Sorry should have been more clear. That’s correct. I was worried I may have some negative setbacks from the vaccine but didn’t notice any. Just have the lingering effects from the virus itself.
  3. It’s basically not a problem until the house catches on fire.
  4. I received my first shot yesterday. No side effects so far other than some shot arm soreness. My symptoms are subsiding as well. Still can’t smell anything and have some chest soreness but I’m thankful to be on the other side of it!
  5. Thanks for this info! I am pushing for a conversation with her Ob/Gyn.
  6. I’ll post this at the risk of it having been covered recently. Large thread though… Has anyone ran across detailed documentation or studies of how or if any of these vaccines may affect fertility in women of child bearing age? This has been the main concern of my wife and basically the only reason we haven’t been vaccinated yet. I’ll go further and add that after contracting the virus a few days ago, I will be getting vaccinated once I’m well. Assuming the lord lets me get past it. I’m very certain my wife will push back tremendously on an ask for her to take it but I’m to the point now where my argument would be “we can’t have more kids if we are dead”. The most info I can find on the subject is just claims of studies that support no harm.
  7. I’m really thinking my 19X is going to take this title. It’s absolutely possible that I just really dig it because it’s the latest gun but I shoot it very well and it feels amazing in the hand. Balances well and reloads don’t require a compromised grip.
  8. Yep the $15 I’ll save by ordering online is getting less and less attractive.
  9. Browsing around on different forums. It fits all of the signs and I went back to check my order from Amazon. Could have sworn it shipped from Amazon but nope, Jim Mo Tang. I know better so it must have just been my mistake. Amazon is actually letting me return it for a partial refund though!
  10. Shocking turn of events…… I have a counterfeit streamlight.
  11. They couldn’t provide any meaningful help on the phone. I sent a service form in. It does fit slightly better on an M&P. May just be the nature of the beast in my case, or a bad light. We shall see I guess.
  12. Yeah it’s definitely not right. I may have to call streamlight
  13. It is doing the same thing with the Glock insert. The Glock insert is smaller than the rail channel and just allows a little play in either direction. It’s basically the top of the battery plate lever that’s contacting the frame. I’m stumped though haha. I’ll try it on my 1911 again and see how it fits.
  14. That’s actually what I have in it. It is in fact sized for a 1913 now on the newer models. I’ve concluded that streamlight either drilled the latch pivot pin in the wrong spot (unlikely) or that it’s just supposed to be this way. I’ve watched a couple of videos with this exact gun/light combo and it seems like those fit more flush to the rail, but it could just be my eyes.
  15. Don’t have another Glock but it does the same on an M&P. I actually took the battery cover off last night to inspect the latch mechanism. Unless I’m a complete idiot, there is no there way for it to latch properly. It all seems to be in order. I will say it’s perfectly stable and locked up solidly to the rail on both ends. It just looked off to me. I figured someone on here had this combo and may care to share a similar picture.
  16. Does this look funny? I just noticed a slight tilt in it but makes sense that it would point a little upwards toward point of aim. I do have the proper Glock rail insert in it. Seems to me like the battery lever contacts the bottom of the rail. I’ve never noticed this before now but this is a new gun.
  17. I’m lucky enough to have a full bay with a 15ft berm on the back and about 12ft on the sides. Had it dig out of a hill when we built our place. We are also out in the sticks on 37 acres of a ~130 acre family place. I hope to acquire the rest down the road. I can shoot out to about 100 in the berm and out to 400 in the field behind my house. I am itching for a plate rack and a couple of nice AR500 plates. Right now I have some thinner steel sheets hanging on some homemade hooks. They do great but I’d like to be able to shoot the rifle more.
  18. I just picked up a Benchmade Grizzly Ridge for edc. It felt the best out of all of the benchmades in my price range but I have a feeling the rubber on the grips is eventually going to wear off with daily use. The knife itself feels higher quality than anything I’ve spent $150 on before and the action is smooth as silk. It’s right there in that sweet spot in size. I’ve searched around for custom scales for it but can’t seem to find much. Does anyone on here have a lead on someone who could possibly make some out of micarta or similar? Surely a few of you knife makers are up to the task.
  19. Powder Valley has 1lb jugs of Accurate #5 if anyone is interested. Just got 5lbs. I believe they have the limit at 5.

  20. For your viewing pleasure.
  21. I’ve visited that range once a few years back. I wouldn’t be to distraught that you can’t go back.
  22. Oddly enough, they shipped my press and primer tray the day after I ordered. It will be here tomorrow. No dice on the dies though. I really want the Dillon dies but if I happen to run across another set I’ll grab them. As others have said though, I can’t find components so there’s no rush.
  23. I placed an order with Dillon yesterday for a 550C, some dies and other misc items. The gentleman I spoke to in customer service told me I’d have the press in about 3 weeks to a month but the dies could be up to 8 months out!!! He said there was a shortage of carbide. Doesn’t really matter since I can’t seem to find components but I thought that was interesting. I wonder if it’s demand for these specific items that are causing a shortage or genera effects of covid. Or both.
