  1. I don't really like it either but I will play devil's advocate. To me wouldn't your back pocket kind of act as a holster? I mean you won't be carrying anything else in there with this and as long as you practice a "proper" draw for that method of carry I don't see a problem with it. I think the odds are very small that something will get in there and pull that long LCP trigger except your finger. If anything you will probably have to clean the gun more often as I imagine it will attract a little more dust than the usual holster. GO FOR IT!
  2. Yeah I know what you meant. Just saying none of them would last too long against some "real" zombies. Again except for Darrell and maybe Hershel with his shotgun with unlimited ammo. (See last episode of latest season for proof) Carl is definitely dead weight.
  3. that gave me full body shivers. I did that to my pointer finger when I was younger. To this day I won't own a folding knife unless it locks back. My grandpa had a VERY sharp case toothpick that I was messing around with. This particular knife had a spring action in it like you wouldn't believe. One slip and the thing slammed closed on my small little finger! Edit: Almost forgot! Good luck with a speedy recovery!
  4. The HI-Point looks nice but the sub2000 just went on my want list (Glock 19 config).
  5. They would have all been dead by now in all honesty. Except for Darrell..... 28 Days Later Zombies really creeped me out the first time I saw it. The opening scene to 28 weeks later still haunts my dreams. That's probably one of the greatest zombie scenes ever IMO.
  6. Carl would have been dead in the first episode with those zombies.
  7. 28 days later by far.
  8. That would definitely be a tough one to swallow for me.
  9. I am thinking more along the lines of a do not resuscitate thing. I guess it would be more of a law enforcement decision rather the the doctors. I mean it would have to be glaringly obvious that the guy did not want to live anymore. I see what you mean though.
  10. Just to spark a conversation.... I am assuming they saw the video where the guy was clearly attempting suicide. My thoughts would be for the hospital to stop care and let him have his way. Now I am also assuming he has family that would say otherwise and want to keep him alive. I would also want them treated if it was my family. Just for conversation's sake say this guy doesn't have any family. That wouldn't be a bad policy in my mind.
  11. Well the article says he fired a few shots at the target before turning it on himself. Doesn't sound like he was totally committed. I have never been in that position though so who knows what he was thinking. Hard for me to imagine getting that down....
  12. My wife and I are planning a trip in the beginning of August and I am just hoping to get a few pointers for what to check out and what to skip over. I have seen the science museum on the web and will definitely be going there as well as driving around the Superlift park a little in the FJ. Anyone have any recommendations other than that?
  13. Same thing for me. Drinking to get drunk has lost it's appeal but I do like an occasional glass of wine or beer with my steak. I quit drinking for the most part and in public for other reasons mainly but getting my HCP reinforced my opinions on it.
  14. I definitely agree with you on the odds and not needing the sights in a close quarters situation but I still practice for it regardless and will just mess up the sights in practice. I wouldn't necessarily say I have a bad sight picture though. (I know you didn't imply that either).
  15. How funny would this article be if they described the fart as accurately as they described the weapon. (Some farts are dangerous).
  16. Those look great! I was nervous at first about getting the "straight eight" style sight but I will have to say my eyes seem to focus on it better. I was and still am having to work through my left eye trying to take over but with these my eyes seem to line up two dots better than three. The only reason I didn't go with the TFO was for fear of me breaking the rods in them. I practice racking the slide on my belt and all of that and have broken fiber optic sights before like that. The TFO's may be better protected than what I was using before though. Again thanks for all the advice. I believe you helped me make a great decision.
  17. Not the greatest picture but oh well.
  18. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  19. I'll get a picture up as soon as I can get one taken but I got them installed today. I just used pliers on the fron sight as opposed to grinding down a socket to fit. Do I need to get it EXTRA tight or just as tight as possible with the pliers. I did use loc-tite on it. The rear sight went in with no sanding. I used a wooden vice and a wooden dowel/punch thing to knock it in with no scarring.
  20. Loving the positive response! I don't normally feel the need to justify my purchases but on this one I just wanted some backup haha.
  21. I just can't imagine something that is sold "over the counter" like that would give the desired results. Maybe on the old phone networks but I doubt it on the new stuff. I'm no expert though.
  22. Just go by you a pair of decoy gloves and spare your skin!! Thanks for the info though. I have always thought the ones my grandpa picked taste better than the ones I pick. He must have already known this.
  23. They would probably get you for inciting a panic then.
  24. Just did a quick google search and Wikipedia (take that with a grain of salt) notes that is is illegal to block radio signals.
