1. Would you do leather or kydex? I won't be carrying two knive so a single would suffice. The light is a little bigger than the light I used to carry but I just discovered it clips comfortably into my left back pocket so I won't worry about a holster for it.
2. Just got in an ESEE Izula and am wanting a simple kydex or leather sheath for belt carry. I carry alot of stuff on me as most of you probably do and am getting ready to add a BUG to the mix. I don't want to look like I am wearing Batman's utility belt so I want as few separate items on my belt as possible. I also just received a Streamlight Protac 2L as my EDC light. I am hoping to get some kind of sheath/holster that will house both of them but am also wanting opinions on this setup. Does anyone have experience with it? Am I better off with a seperate sheath and holster? I am also interested in single knife sheaths so I can weigh my options. Please chime in if you can make me one or if you have opinions. Thanks.
3.
Do I see "Gallagher" with a butcher knife....is the world ready for this? LOL Dave S
The insurance commercial featuring Gallagher actually gave me the idea! I'll let someone else go through with it though haha.
4. My wife can attest I flipped out when T-Dog got bit. I'm pretty sure I broke the couch jumping on it. (I can be a big kid sometimes)
5. Well I won't get another chance to make any good videos this week so I will be sending it to BJB tomorrow. I have to say it would be a great knife to have around in a survival situation. Thanks to Flatwood Forge for letting us participate in this. I had a lot of fun with it!
6. Anyone verify these videos work for everyone?
7. Good stuff! Well not so good really...
8. Maybe this will work.......... Here are two videos out of three I took last night. I couldn't get the third one to upload as it was pretty large. I just chopped up some kindling for a small fire and it worked great. You have to hold the knife to really feel how meaty it is. The third video I couldn't upload shows me splitting some old hard 2x10's that were about 20" long. It took two or three hard chops but it split them right into. I hope to find more to do with it today. 9. I have the sage in 35 for the wife and 45 for myself. I'd start out with 40 or 45 to make sure you get your form right. The sage is a great bow plus you can buy different limbs later on.
10. The gears are turning in my head....... Thinking maybe a line of melons to represent Zombie heads just for fun. I'm sure I will have to do the mandatory wood chopping and other stuff you might actually use the knife for.
11. I mean Glock probably still has some say in the design and all but I just didn't see them actually producing them. I have never held one but from the pictures it looked like a handy knife.
12. I always wondered...does Glock actually manufacture the knife or just put there name on a knife manufactured elsewhere?
13. It just arrived in the mail! First impression.......Meaty. Hopefully I can find some things to do with it tonight. I will try to get some videos up in addition to pictures. What's the best way to post videos up? Upload to youtube then link?
14. Oh well that's different. I like the protection the hard chrome provides but I didn't like the way it look AT ALL. I never have like stainless or chrome on a handgun. Hopefully this will hold up for me! Thanks for the info.
15. I recently ordered a PF9 with the parkerized slide from Bud's Gun Shop. I haven't received it yet but am looking to get opinions from those with the parkerized finishes. Beyond knowing that it is supposed to be rust resistant I don't know much about it. Can anyone offer any insight on the finish? I am looking to carry it as a BUG as well as a primary when jogging or walking so it will be exposed to a higher level of sweat but will be cleaned afterwards.
16. I think you just solved my problem!! I assume someone makes holsters for these.
17. Looks nice but I didn't think about the light sticking out further than the barrel. That pretty much just killed the whole idea for me. The light would be stabbing me in the leg and I don't want that.
18. Cool. I will just have to try it I guess. Thanks for all the info.
19. Ever carry it IWB? That is my main concern. I have a tuckable holster and sometimes wear it tucked to church. Other than that mostly untucked.
20. That's what I thought. Does anyone EDC with a light? I was looking at the Glock factory lights but they are not LED.
21. I guess my biggest concern is that I will not like the added bulk of the light for EDC. Are these lights wider than the frame of the gun? (Glock 23)
22. My bad I wasn't clear. The holster is for when I EDC the gun. I do not have it holstered when on the night stand.
23. Looks like they run about $100. Any specific/best place to buy them online? Any variations to them. Again sorry for being clueless but their site is down.
