1. I second that. Thanks for keeping this going!
2. Pics were small. Sorry.
3. Well I tried my hand at stippling! I also did the back strap and sanded it down with some medium sand paper. Feels real nice.
4. Well I soaked it in Rem Oil this morning about 5 oclock and at 6 oclock it was pretty well soaking it all up. Needless to say I was amazed. I didn't have near enough oil on it to begin with. On a different note I am thinking about polishing the barrell. I polished the feed ramp with some Mother's Mag Polish but I think I might like the look of a polished barrell. Does anyone know if the barrell is actually parkerized as well or just coated with something? It doesn't seem to have the same texture as the slide. If I proceed I am guessing the best way to do this without a dremel is just fine grit sandpaper and finish with the mag polish?
5. Thanks for the info. I plan on polishing the feed ramp but I wanted to see how it did the initial 200-300 rounds without any mods. So far so good.
6. Not working for me. You will probably have to use photobucket. I know it worked for me.
7.
Yeah, everybody be careful! If you want me to send you a list of other scams, just e-mail me your name, social security number, birthdate and first pets name. Thanks
I see what you did there.....
8. Well I got the gun in and shot 50 rounds through it with no problems. It was bone dry when i got it but looked like it did have some type of cosmoline or rust preventative on it at some time. There were small spots of surface rust on the inside of the slide but was easily removed. The problem (if I can even call it that) is that there is a small spot on the exterior of the slide where the finish has "soaked up" some of the packaging oil/cosmoline. I have thoroughly cleaned the gun before firing and sprayed oil all over the slide. I took a wire brush to the outside of it lightly but stopped for fear of removing the finish. The spot is hardly noticeable but it is just on my nerves since I don't really know what it is and if it's bad. Any tips for removing this?
9. 50 flawless rounds through mine today after a good cleaning. It was bone dry when I got it.
10. I'm sure if they try to subpoena him it will be shot down somehow.
11.
Senator Feinstein says Gen. Petraeus will not testify in Senate hearings on Benghazi next week due to his "resignation." Isn't that convenient? http://usnews.nbcnew...tal-affair?lite
That's what I was wondering. If he would actually testify. I am no conspiracy buff but this is all too convenient.
12. Just stick that TCP in your pocket and go. She probably won't ever notice. Or just cook her dinner at your place and you won't have to worry about it!
13.
The more I think about it, the more I think it odd that there was so much hatin' on Lori. Yes, the character could sometimes be annoying but the idea that she 'planted seeds' between Rick and Shane makes no sense. The whole drama between those three was Shane's fault, period, and he got what was coming to him. Remember, Shane told Lori that Rick was, without a doubt, dead. Shane was supposedly Rick's best friend and Lori thought she could trust him. Therefore, she had no reason to believe that she was cheating on Rick. As far as she knew, her husband was dead and her world was falling apart. Heck, there was only one adult still present in her world who she knew from before and that was Shane. From her point of view, in some ways, Shane probably represented all she had left of her relationship with Rick and their old life. Shane was also keeping her and Carl safe, protecting them and being there for them. It would not be hard to accept that she would cling to Shane, believing his lies about Rick being dead, and end up in a relationship with him. For his part, Shane left Rick behind just like he left Otis behind. In some ways, both decisions were pragmatic but in other ways both represented Shane sacrificing someone who trusted him (and, in Rick's case, his supposed best friend) at least partly for his own, selfish reasons. Shane only made the half-hearted (half-assed) attempt to block Rick's hospital room door with a rolling gurney in order to assuage his own, guilty conscience. Then he told Lori an outright and bald-faced lie, indicating that he knew for certain that Rick was dead. Had Lori even suspected that Rick might still be alive I do not believe she would have slept with Shane - remember how shocked she was to see Rick still alive and how angry she was at Shane. I also believe that Shane realized that - which is why he lied to Lori. He believed that Rick would be dead, sooner or later, and that even if he weren't he would never find Shane, Lori and Carl again - or if Rick did, by that time he (Shane) would be permanently ensconced in Lori and Carl's lives. Shane was a low-down, sorry, lying, back-stabbing bastich and I am glad he's dead. As for Lori getting angry at Rick at the end of Season Two, I didn't take it that she was angry over Rick killing Shane. If you notice in the scene where he tells Lori, her real look of shock comes when Rick reveals that Shane came back - even though he wasn't bitten - and that Carl had to kill him the second time. Lori still felt that Carl should be sheltered and the fact that he had to shoot walker Shane was probably a bit much for her to handle. Even more, though, Lori had another really good reason to be angry at Rick. He knew that the living are all infected but did not tell her - and the truth of that was, again, born out by the fact that an unbitten Shane came back from the dead. If one were a woman in that world who had just recently had to decide whether or not to continue a new pregnancy, I would think that would be information such a woman would want to know. After all, as Lori herself alluded in a recent episode, allowing the baby to fully form in her womb meant running the risk that the baby would die in utero, turn and then devour her from the inside. It also meant, at best, bringing a baby into a world where everyone, including the baby, would become walkers upon their death. Rick withheld that information from her and, for that, I think she had every reason to be pissed at him.
You make good points!!
14. Well if so then I am glad to see it. I don't know a lot about him to be honest. It's still very fishy on the timing though. I mean it's one thing to be truthful about it and let the public and wife know about it but stepping down completely is odd. Maybe my spider sense is off though.
15. I just find it really hard to believe that he would give up that position over an affair. Don't get me wrong; affairs are bad and I don't condone them. But that kind of nobility, if you will, is hard to come by these days and I am skeptical when I see it. Especially in the government.
16. Haha I just am not a big hugger anyways. It took me a while to show everyone that but I think they are catching on.
17. ^^Don't know why but my post got screwed up and half cut off. Anyway it's fixed.
18. <p>
But if by some chance someone did have a firearm in church and it accidently discharged what then? That would be really messed up and I bet a person would probably have to change churches afterward! LOL! People would be scared to sit next to the guy. His whole pew, the pew in front of him, and the pew behind him; all empty! People are standing in the aisles and against the wall rather than sit by him. Am I wrong for thinking that would be funny as hell?
A negligent discharge can be prevented by more training. If you have a quality handgun in a quality holster that covers the trigger the gun will not fire unless something pulls the trigger. Also I carry a glock 23 every Sunday in church with a tuckable holster. My draw is MAYBE a second slower than with an untucked shirt draped over. Again it's all about what you train for. The only thing you have to watch out for is the huggers. I dodge them when I see them coming haha.
19. I am going to pick up a new parkerized PF9 I had on order tonight. If I get a chance to shoot it while I am there I will do a little range report on it.
20. The opinions on the PF9 are varied (As you may have guessed so far). If you go to the KTOG forums there is a sticky on there about doing a "fluff and buff". It is basically just going through the gun and polishing all of the parts where metal touches metal. I had a PF9 a while ago and never had to do this. I also never had any trouble out of the gun. I did polish the feed ramp but that was a "just in case" thing. At this price point I think you would be happy with it even if you have to go through it and polish it. Doing that seemed to fix any problems folks were having with them. I carried mine daily and shot it every week. It was a reliable piece for me.
21. My bad. Must have missed that.
22. You are probably right tmf. Should have added the " that's what I would do" disclaimer. Mine wears wranglers. Haha
23. I would just tell her up front. If she doesn't like it stand your ground. She may or may not appreciate a man with strong principles.
