1. I agree. There just isn't such thing as a fair fight anymore. It's too much of a gamble to believe there is such a thing. In this instance though with the info provided it does seem as if he reacted with an inappropriate amount of force to a punch in the face.
2. Just wait until "Sons of Guns" gets wind of this. They will be strapping 3 or 4 of them together!
3. But that would require those 200,000 to give up what is theirs! I would also wager that those 200,000 probably have a few unpaid debts as well and don't think they can swing to give away $1.
4. The saddest part about this whole thing is that she got 200,000 signatures asking for the debt to be forgiven. Of course with the state of things now I guess that shouldn't surprise me. Where do these people think this money comes from?
5.
I'm glad it provided a chuckle...that was bestowed on me by another member, quite recently in fact (although I can assure you that he did not intend it to be funny).
Yeah I was keeping up with that thread and remembered it. Sorry to hear that David. My wife's grandpa's estate had been in Limbo now for over a year because some things weren't taken care of before his death. I know how troubling it can be when these things linger on.
6.
After thought I just had, The title is very misleading. They are the mother's debt now. The son doesn't have any debts anymore,
Fixed it
7.
If she really doesn't have the money (rather than just not being willing to do what's necessary to pay the loan) then it's almost a moot issue anyway. All this lender(s) can do is sue and assuming they win they can then seek to place a lien on property (if there is any) and/or try to take wages but in most states, the amount of wages that can be attached is fairly small...plus there are slow-pay motions, etc. that, given the woman's age, seems to me to make it at best problematic for the lender to ever collect much.
Good points. off topic but I just noticed your "name" under you username and it made me chuckle.
8. Well I'll chip in $10 if you guys want to go in together to buy one just to say we shot it. haha.
9. The detail that stuck out to me was how quick the federal loans were forgiven. Wonder who is making up that money? And +1 on the dangers of cosigning.
10. Just saw this on Yahoo and was wondering your opinions on this. http://gma.yahoo.com...investment.html Just my personal opinion but if she co-signed on the loans then she is responsible for them. Isn't this the type of stuff life insurance would cover? Also don't take me for cold hearted person. I sympathize for her son's death and don't think it would be wrong for the private lender to bend a little in some ways, but totally forgiving the loan is a bit much IMO.
11. I would rather just have two nice guns. Cool concept though. I think I remember seeing something about this a while back.
12. Thanks. I'll just have to wait. Maybe I'll get lucky and get it today.
13. I saw this earlier. Nice guy! In LA at that! haha
14. Or if anyone can point me somewhere that might have this in stock that would be cool as well. I know it's a shot in the dark though.
15.
I have a 3 year old, my wife and I are simply raising her into the "gun culture." At 3 she knows what a gun is and not to touch it. That does not mean that we leave guns lying around. My wife usually checks her gun when she gets home. That means either on top of the refrigerator, dresser, on or in the safe, just depends on what we are doing. I will usually carry on myself and check my gun if I'm playing with my daughter. Seems that it does make it a little harder to conceal in public while picking her up and whatnot so I'm always conscious of that. My best advice is to talk to your kids about guns even if you think they aren't big enough to understand what you are saying. We've tested out daughter by leaving an unloaded gun on the kitchen table. She immediately came and got us to tell us there was a gun. If you shield your kids from guns completely and they come across one they will not know not to touch it.
That's a pretty good idea about testing them. Of course I am sure you made sure there was no ammo around anywhere. I look forward to shooting with my kids when we have some.
16. I purchase one a few weeks ago for my Pf9. I ended up cutting the big wing off of it intended for pocket carry since I already have a pocket holster for it. I haven't used it alot but the times I did it carried just fine. I could imagine it being a little uncomfortable with a revolver but who knows. With the leather being thinner it might not shield your body as well from the cylinder of the gun. You may not even notice this though. To address your questions: The clip is very solid and is actually hard to get off of the belt so I wouldn't worry about it failing. With a proper gun belt it seems very solid and stays in place. I am used to kydex type retention so it is definately a step down in that area. It has held the weapon in fine so far but I could see it stretching after some use. I wouldn't do cartwheels with it on but it will hold the gun in normal situations. I think they are worth the money.
17.
sadface
I just gave ya one more haha.
18.
If you post up much in the classifieds it will probably increase your profile views. I always check a seller/buyer's profile to see how long they have been a member. I suspect others do the same. I generally trt to avoid being a lead story on the 6:00 news.
Didn't think of this. Probably where most of the views come from in my opinion too.
19. Just logged out and I can still see your profile so yes guests can.
20. I have quite a few views and only have about 200 more posts than you. We must be interesting folks! I wouldn't worry too much about it. I check profiles sometimes when someone makes an interesting post. I would wager when someone tries to look up a past post by you it adds to the view count.
21. The only thing I can figure is bigfoot has some type of predator like optic camoflauge. He lets you get just close enough to take pictures. Rather than "messin' with saquatch" it's "messin' with the humans".
22. Do they make holsters that small? Better pain the tip orange or you will wind up on the 10 oclock news.
23. Makes you think doesn't it......... (Cue X-Files jingle)
24. I was deathly afraid of "La Chupacabra" when I was little. My best friend's mother was Mexican and he always told me these stories about seeing it every summer when they would visit Mexico. I find it funny how folks believe that "monsters" like this just turn up one day. I may be totally wrong with this assumption but haven't we pretty much explored all of the dry land on the earth? Bigfoot, Yeti's, Chupacabra's all would have turned up by now.
