1. I must say this is the most excited I have ever been over $25.
2. OHHHHHHH I get it! It took me a few times. I couldn't figure out why a furniture store was selling food.
3. Just for conversation sake would it be beneficial to still type up some kind of agreement to make it clear that the weapon was loaned in case the borrower does have to use it? I may be making a mountain out of a mole hill but I can only imagine some lawyer trying to take advantage of this.
4. Not the best idea to recommend this in hind sight so removed.
5. Well that answered my question then. If the armorers are taught that then it must be the best way.
6. This is an interesting question that I'd also like to know the answer to. I was in this similar situation with my mother who lives in MS not too long ago. I am going to guess that this is probably a grey area that isn't going to be easily addressed and will probably lean towards the "transfer required" side but who knows.
7. Yeah its not that one. This one is a G23 I got from a guy on Armslist. It's a little more worn and the slide stop lever is bent out. For some reason I think folks bend those out on purpose so they can use them to release the slide easier. I have been trying to master the thumbs forward grip but keep hitting that darned lever and closing the slide on an empty chamber. Anyways it sounds like it's best to just replace all the unknowns with new parts and keep count from there so that is what I will do. Just seemed like this "test" is more or less a guess.
8. I have a Glock manufactured in 02 that I got second hand. Not knowing the round count I have ordered a recoil spring just so I know that it is new and hasn't had 10k rounds fired on it. I was reading online and watching some videos about a "recoil spring test" that tested how easily the slide went back into battery. Does anyone have any words of advice on this? I am just curious if this is an "accurate" test. I will be replacing the spring along with a few other parts( slide release, mag springs, etc.) either way since it is such a cheap part.
9. Well poo. Still got a laugh out of it though.
10. The picture is priceless. That guy has that "just kill me" look.
11. For me it's more about the fact that they fired the guy than the policy they have for their employees. It's clear that he was respecting their rules since the gun was in his truck. I mean he more than likely saved a guys life AND the store a few bucks. And sadly you are probably right.
12. I just read the entire thread. Pretty funny stories on there.
13. I know browsing through some old threads from 10 years ago sure is depressing. Ammo was ALOT cheaper. Sure wish I had been into shooting then.
14. Not at my local Walmart. They have had plenty since the election.
15. I never did like going in there but now I have a great reason not to!
16. I wonder if this could actually be Brian on the show posing as Phillip? Maybe that was the point of the "I never give out my name" thing.
17.
huh? list & list managers? i'm either confused, or you're a spammer. Welcome either way!
+1 but welcome!
18. Check out Rick Garcia (rgleather) for a great deal on a great belt.
19. Is that even real? I just don't see how you can jump in a hay baler and live. Pretty sure that one has been doctored a little. Still funny though!
20. If you are carrying the 26 I'd try to get the barrel pointing right in that area just above you butt and behind you hip bone. When I had my Glock 27 it would disappear in that location and i'd forget I had it on. If you haven't already get you a good gun belt. You don't have to get custom leather (it's nice though) but do get one that is rigid enough that you can't bend it. I'd also recommend the Galco King-Tuk for that gun as they can be had for around $50 online and you don't have to wait a month for it to be made. It is fully adjustable for cant and depth.
21. My range in Memphis allows for drawing IF you have taken an advanced handgun class.
22.
I'm still curious what is in the "tea" everybody likes so much in the town. Hasn't been mentioned lately. Or did I miss it?
I don't think that was ever really a plot point. Just seems like something they threw in there and didn't go anywhere with. Who knows though. I second that if Daryl dies I will be severely upset. I will also say that it was odd how submissive Daryl was to Rick when wanting to go see his brother.
23. Axle: "How you doin'? Carol: Nope Refresh my memory but did they hook up in the comics?
24. I also just started trying appendix carry and found it to be uncomfortable even with a small slim firearm (Kel-Tec PF9). Sounds like you are on the right path and can just chalk that one up to a beginner's mistake! Just a suggestion but I would try to get a holster with some forward cant and try it at around 4 o clock. I am assuming that your appendix holster doesn't have any cant. You may like it the best at 3 oclock but my experience has been that it will rub you after a while. Good luck!
