  1. My guess is that you will get 10 different answers but I would probably not go any lower than 45-50. You COULD kill something with a 35lb re curve but unless you just can't pull back more than that I wouldn't risk just wounding the animal. When I first got my 50 lb bow I thought it was a little difficult but within a week or two I had good form and could pull it back no problem.
  2. No worries. Didn't know how to say that without sounding like a jerk. It just boils my blood but I guess not everyone has seen it. If they haven't then it's a good example of just how far the left will twist things around to coincide with their agenda.   And welcome if I haven't already told you so. :pleased:
  3. :stick:
  4. No offense to the OP but I was this video would just disappear. It just makes me mad every time I see it pop up somewhere.
  5. Yeah I HATE to but I can't afford to buy another one now and I just can't get used to carrying it. It just doesn't fit me or something. Everyone on the net seems to not have any problem carrying it so I must be weird.
  6. Yeah I think they were a little tight. I had to order a whole new head so it's all new so they should be in good shape. We will of course be sure to set them properly. Thanks for all the help.
  7. Well I think I got lucky! I don't know how or why but one of the valve seats(intake) broke and got on top of the piston. All I need is a new head and a top end job! If all goes well I will be in this 4-wheeler for cheap.
  8. Just an update I tested the trigger pull and it's right at 8 lbs using the 13# hammer spring. I am going to try the lighter 11.5# spring and see if I feel much difference.   BigK mine IS a compact version so the lighter spring just might work well in mine. David has said that he has had ZERO reports of failure with the 11.5# spring in the compacts.
  9. I will be posting this as well on FB with your name attached. Thanks and very well put together!
  10. I would have done as DaveTN recommended. Disputing a transaction normally pulls the funds from the seller back to you until the issue is resolved one way or the other. We got a dispute from a customer over seas one time because he did not want to pay the duties he was being charged for shipping it. Even though we submitted all the proper documents and terms of service and all we still did not win the dispute AND had to pay $500 to cover the cost of the dispute. It is a lose lose situation for us most of the time.
  11. Wow. That's an odd business tactic.
  12. Just installed the kit. Not sure what my DA pull was before but he said it should be around 14-16 pounds. He also said this kit would make it about 9 pounds. Well it works! I don't have a scale but I can tell a huge difference and the SA pull is amazing now! I haven't actually shot it yet but I can tell I'm gonna love it. Just to clarify the kit included a 11.5 and 13 pound hammer spring (I used the 13) , a lighter firing bin block spring, extended firing pin, and lighter firing pin spring. He said the 11.5 spring has had no reliability issues but the 13 would set off mortar rounds so for peace of mind I used it.
  13. Yeah. Far as I know metal contracts when it cools so you'd think I could free it up. I'm hoping the piston may just be seized and a $200 top end kit will fix it. I'll get it apart this weekend and let you know what happens. Thanks for the help.
  14. Well if it was from anyone else I would say that is a possibility but I know where this ATV lives and is ridden. The deepest thing it has been in doesn't go over the rim. The son likes to tinker one stuff so maybe he let an oil plug out or something. I probably just need to wait until I pick it up tomorrow and take a look inside. From what they said it was running fine, they shut it off then later tried to start it and nothing. Locked up. That made me think something heated up then kind of bonded on the cool down. Am I way off here?
  15. I sent a few emails back and forth with Cajun Gun Works and that guy is as nice and helpful as can be. He also said I could call anytime. Maybe shoot him an email first just to start contact then give him a call. I just got a PCR that I am getting ready to upgrade with his spring and firing pin kit. I'd be glad to help but we are a couple of hours away and this is my carry gun so I can't have it down due to mailing parts.
  16. Well that is what I am hoping it is not! I have heard changing the cranks is a pain on these and can be expensive. Granted for what I have in it I can afford to spend a little but am hoping for an easy fix.
  17. Hopefully some of you guys have experience working on ATV's and can answer this question.   I am going to buy an 06' Rancher from my uncle for a good price. They said the engine was locked up and needed a new one. I can't imagine for the $30 the shop charged him to look at it they really took anything apart though. The unit hasn't been dogged out or sunk or anything like that. Just riding in the back yard in the occasional mud hole probably.   My question is: What normally causes an engine on these ATV's to lock up? I haven't even seen the bike in person yet so I can't give specifics. I know  running it dry with no oil would possibly sieze the rings to the sleeve. I am hoping maybe something like a timing chain broke and has it seized.   It look's like a whole top end rebuild kit including boring out the sleeve can be had for under $200 so hopefully that is the most it would take. Looks like crankshafts can be expensive.   Any info or experience will be appreciated. Thanks!
  18. We could go to their house and leave them a nasty mean note; Metalhead does have the addresses after all.
  19. haha they spelled "devises" wrong......it's the little things that give me pleasure.
  20. Hope to have it Friday and will install that night and shoot Friday. Got my new holster today and am loving the gun do far. With the lighter trigger I I just might have a cure for my glock fever!
