  1. Welcome man! If you ever want to meet up at Range USA I will be glad to let you shoot the few guns I have as well as answer any questions you have or show you a few things. I don't proclaim to be a tacticall mall ninja know it all but I have taken a few classes and would be more than happy to help a newcomer get started. PM me if you want my contact info.   Also I'd be willing to bet with the flood of new gun owners in the recent weeks that they may have had to screen folks a little more to make sure everyone stays safe. They are good folks there from what I have seen. Don't let that one time discourage you.
  2. Pretty cool article! My mother and my wife have both been victims of bank robberies and I have wanted to do that very same thing. In my mother's case the bank president shot the guy in the butt as he was exiting the back door.
  3. Spots if you will just write my name in print on the sheath when you get it. No use in mailing it back since I forgot to sign it. Should have read the instructions better. My handwriting is bad so just jump up and down when you write it and it will be close enough haha.
  4. Well I know CK is still alive as he pm'ed me to other day about a gun listing I have on here. :pleased:
  5. Looks like dropbox may be the way to go.
  6. This thing hasn't got lost has it?
  7. I don't know how you would lock the email app but I am experimenting with ibooks and adobe reader right now to make sure it is actually saving the files permanently. It seems to be but surely there has to be some way to actually see what all is saved on the phone. I am looking into a third party "files" type app like android has.
  8. I usually just email text documents to myself and open/save them on the iphone that way. I'm sure there is a way to sync but I can't figure it out until I get home.   Someone should be along shortly to say how the Android OS will be superior in this aspect.
  9. Also I think it would be cool to maybe get a thread started that would kind of stock pile all of this info in one location so we could all share this stuff. I will be doing this tonight with my spare. :pleased:   I think I will actually do it with my every day phone though. You never know when you may need some of this info and I have a 32GB model so I have plenty of room.
  10. This is a great idea IMO! Subscribed. This would fall under survival type manuals but something showing what plants are edible and what can be used for medicines.
  11. I use turbo tax online and just pay online as well. I usually do a simple return with a standard deduction. The wife and I just went up another tax bracket  and while tithing 10% to our church and claiming 0 deductions still no sizable refund! I don't care to have a refund as I'd rather have it during the year but it burns me up for folks not doing much getting these large returns and breaks. Like this "earned income credit" mess. That's another topic though.
  12. Well I had an old rusted fire pit that needed to be disposed of. The wind flipped my swing on top of it and took care of that for me. Luckily we just built a bigger fire pit out of brick in the yard. I will say the the sirens that were recently put in are verrrry spooky. Not only does the siren sound but a voice comes on telling you get in the basement, closet, etc. Really reminded me of a zombie/outbreak movie. The wife said the same so I am rubbing off on her.
  13. I can't wait! Mearl and Darrell will rule the rest of this season in my opinion. I also hope the Tyrese storyline is as good as in the comics.
  14. Well it's really just season 3.5 :pleased:
  15. Either way I won't fight to save my 2A rights by taking them away from someone else. Even if they are bone headed.
  16. You will probably want to use an older controller too if playing on the xbox. I dang near broke one from all of the frantic button mashing.
  17. I have played it all the way through and it is amazing. My wife would not let play it without her watching! I would make a choice and she would say "WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT?!" One of the episodes is kind of dull but the overall plot and feel of the game is very engrossing. Once you start you won't want to put it down. You also have the advantage of all of the episodes being released. I think they are planning a sequel.
  18. Same thing for me. It's funny, I got a "this is not my official response" email from him AND fincher yesterday at the same exact time and recieved this email AND fincher's canned response today at the same time. What's up with that?
  19. We ride occasionally down in the Sardis lake bottoms in MS. I had a nice 2010 Rancher setup but traded it in for a Cruiser. I just recently acquired a 2006 2WD Rancher 350 that had some engine trouble. We got it running good but are looking for some stock tires and rims to go on it. The guy who had it before but spring spacers AND a bracket lift as well as 27" swamp lites on the back and 26" carlisles on the front. I took the lift off and while the tires still fit they are way too heavy for the bike to pull in my opinion. Once I find some stockers I will have a nice trail bike. I would rather it be 4WD but for the deal I got I can't argue. I don't do the swamp/mud riding thing anyways so I don't really need 4WD.
  20. I was sneaky last time I went to buy ammo. They had the ammo out still in the cardboard case sitting in a shopping cart waiting to be put in the glass case. Naturally the sporting goods associate was nowhere to be found so I just helped myself to a few boxes......feels good to be bad. :pleased:       Just a note I haven't seen them leave "glass case" ammo out in the open like that in a while. I'm sure it's in there rule book for the associate to put the ammo right in the case when it comes from the back but I guess they get lazy.
  21. No for me.  I buy one or two boxes of SOMETHING when I go to wally world even if it's just 12 gauge shells. It sure does feel good having all that ammo piled up.
  22. This has probably been discussed at least ten times (maybe not in a dedicated thread) but it really just boils down to the individual. Some of us would feel a duty to not give them any business until they change their policy while others have no problem walking past the incorrect posting and having a meal, buying stuff, etc. That is just up to the individual and I don't judge either way.   I will say that while I am of the "they don't want my business" camp I have found it awful hard to fight off the cravings for some wings from time to time.
  23. I tend to agree with this. Not on a legal or illegal standpoint but it's pretty clear the owners don't want your business. Although we could pretty clearly interpret the law as it is written I am sure some prosecutor could argue differently. TN is good about leaving a gray area in these laws.
  24. In the last few classes I took the instructor taught (when drawing from concealment) to grab the cover garment with both hands, jerk it up to chest level, and hold it up with the off hand while drawing with the strong hand. The two hand ten just kind of naturally meet when you press out. Some folks I saw take it to the extreme and didn't push out at all until they brought the gun right to their chest but to me it seems as long as your hand doesn't get in front of the barrel do it however you please.
  25. Just in the past week or two of not going out to eat I have noticed that too. We both help cook and it's just nice to not go somewhere every night when you get home.
