1. I'm the same way now. I am almost afraid of armslist. I told the wife I want to move farther east so I can get it on all the good trades on TGO. Only a few of us here in the Memphis area haha.
2. Well he didn't "Stand his ground". He "advanced his ground" if you will. I am very surprised they are calling it justified but as 2.0 said, WI law may be different. Bad choice on his part IMO.
3. That's what I would have done. I have almost wanted to mess with a few of these guys on armslist but decided against it. It's their stuff so I guess they can ask what they want.
4. I am somewhat embarrassed for my generation after hearing that. I know it's cliche to say this but that would have had a far different ending had I been there. That just really disgusts me.....
5. Yeah i have little felt circles on the bottom. The wife made sure of that haha.
6. Well I can't get a completed picture until the legs dry out so I can paint them but here she is! I ended up going with a 2x4 shelf just mainly because I like how it looks. I put some drawer liner on the top to kind of minimize wear on the surface. Once that sheet wears out I can just change it out! 7. Wow that looks awesome! No doubt mine would look better with the stain but honestly I didn't take my time on the cuts and pick out really straight wood so the fit and finish of the build itself just doesn't justify doing that. Next time I build though I will definitely consider that. I am finishing up my table this weekend. I have everything done except picking out how to do the shelf on the bottom. I don't want to do mdf or osb. Plywood would be fine but I don't like the pattern of the "grain". I am thinking of just using 2x4's crossways like decking and painting it. Hopefully have some pics soon. Now I just need to get my press. Looking at the lee pro 1000 to get me started.
8. Oh I didn't remember that but he did! Still blaming it on the safety. Haha
9. For me it's more or less my child's safety I will be concerned about. I don't have kids yet but we are trying so it will be at least another 6-7 years before they would start. Who knows what conditions will be like then. MY only two options at this time would be private school or home school. I don't feel like either of these two schools are unsafe so if nothing changes my children will attend. I will have a problem if they try to suspend my child for playing with an invisible light saber or talking about shooting guns for sport.   With that said I am not too concerned with the schools trying to indoctrinate my child with liberal, leftist ideologies. As long as they are being taught how to read, write, add, subtract, etc. I will make sure to take an interest in what they are being told outside of those lessons and also be sure to instill them with the morals and beliefs that I think they should be learning. I was surrounded by bad influences in high school just like everyone else and while I did make some mistakes my family taught me right and wrong and showed an interest in my well being. The schools are only a fraction of the problem. As can be said for most anything; it all starts at home.
10. I would like to say this is unbelievable but I am becoming accustomed to seeing this kind of crap. Class, dignity, honor, and just plain old common courtesy are becoming a thing of the past. Totally disgusting. As others have said I hope this guy is reprimanded.
11.
12. That particular Glock did not have a safety though. :pleased:  That guy is also presumed dead. I bet he forgot to turn it off when he drew again and the zombie got him. Further proof safeties are no good.
13. I'll get in on their action as well then! Midway's sight is extremely slow so they must be getting lots of traffic.
14. Yeah I get mine instantly on my phone as well. I will be sniping some ammo and M&P mags here soon hopefully. I want the mags more than I do the guns. I was on the fence when I had a glock or two but now that I have fell in love with my M&P I am ready to commit and buy mags!
15. I just went through and added myself to alert lists for most of the 9mm and .22lr ammo on their site (probably along with everyone else). Just wondering how reliable that system is. Has anyone received alerts from them recently in time to catch ammo still in stock?
16. I should have clarified. I will be painting the frame. Everything you see pictured will be a brownish color. I was told to wait on the 4x4's to dry before painting. Any truth to this?   The polyurethane is for the MDF top. I am going to put 2-3 coats on it. I am hoping the first coat will be soaked up by the MDF and the other two will provide a nice finish that won't stain easily. I decided against double laminating it with plywood underneath and will just add a piece under whatever presses or vice I mount to the table. I'd love to stain it but I just can't justify all that work for something put together with crappy bowed wood. I am actually going to take the back leg brace off and redo it. That piece is the longest and most bowed and I can't stand for something showing not sit flush on the other wood.
17. Just getting prepared for losing that eye is all.
18. Well I ended up doing a 2x5 table and got it all put together except for the top last night. The wood from home depot is so bowed and warped it ought to be a crime to sell it but I am not the type to dig through a pile looking for the perfect piece so maybe I share the blame. I am going to cut the top and coat it with poly tomorrow night as well as hit the whole thing with a sander. I need to put a brace on the legs on the front of the table to completely square the legs up but I want to be able to slide under the desk with a chair if needed. The table is level and all but I may add a shallow bottom shelf later on just to provide a brace and push the front legs out square. Sadly the 4x4's are so green I am going to have to wait a while before I can paint it and make it look pretty. I am glad I went smaller though. A 2x5 is just about right for what I want and where it is going. I cut the legs at 40" so the top will be almost 41" from the ground. I am 6'2" so this puts it just at the right height when standing. Here's a rough pic. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
19. Sounds like I will pretty much have to buy all new stuff. All I have are some basspro special ready to go bass rigs. A new rod and reel might be in my future.
20. You know I hadn't even thought of that! I could take the money we'd spend on a charter and just buy some good equipment to shore fish. We don't drink either so a boat full of intoxicated people with sharp objects isn't very appealing. No offense meant towards those who choose to drink.   As a matter of fact you pretty much just made my mind up about that. What size and type of fish can I expect to catch on shore fishing? I am ignorant on most fishing stuff. It's funny because I love to fish but if it isn't bass, brim or crappie I'm clueless.
21. Yeah I am hoping being just east of Destin we won't be in a tourist overrun area. I would appreciate the name.
22. I am thinking the same. Once we get a definite idea of what is going to happen with the bans it will go one way or the other quickly but I don't think we will get those answers anytime soon.
23. We are planning a trip in June for just east of Destin, FL and I am trying to get some ideas for activities in the area. I am interested in charter fishing mostly but am looking for ideas for anything interesting other than laying on the beach. Also if anyone has specific experiences with any of the fishing outfits I would appreciate the reviews. Thanks!
