  1. This will just be fuel to the fire of those angry New Yorkers. I'm glad in a way. Just showing their true colors (even though we already knew).
  2. I haven't had any problems thus far with OC'ing in there. If they do just get the persons name and call the manager, after you leave of course. Their policy is to go by state law.
  3. Looks like the Gov has it now and is supposed to either sign it or not by Wednesday!
  4. those were disarmed people though weren't they?
  5. If only we could get the enhanced benefits with out TN permit....... In MS I mean. I went to school in MS and would  love to be able to carry when I attend games. Heck I'd love to see them in TN as well.
  6. i just got a Serpa for mine in 9mm and am loving it! I was a Glock guy until I held one of these. I still like a Glock but it's just something about the M&P's that "feel" right. Congrats on the purchase. I hope to pick up a 9mm shield as well as a full size .45 soon.
  7. Too true. I know many folks that are "just getting by". Not money wise but life wise. No values, hopes, dreams, goals, etc.
  8. Those in the west TN area who frequent to MS might be interested in this. As you probably know MS has some very gray areas in their gun laws with OC being one of them. The MS constitution clearly states that only concealed carry can be regulated by the state. Some wacky case law or attorney general opinion has said that any gun even partially covered is considered concealed. The lawmakers used this to get around the constitution and make darn sure that anyone wanting to carry a firearm had to have a permit.   I have called and emailed the Highway Patrol in MS regarding whether OC is actually legal or illegal and all they say is "you have to carry completely concealed" and will not elaborate on it and provide a clarification of the law. I think some of that may be due to those gray areas.   This bill that has been proposed AND passed by the senate and house should be headed to the governors desk soon. It will clearly define what concealed means and from the way I understand it make OC not only clearly legal but you shouldn't have to have a permit for it.   Here is a link to the status page. Any of you guys that are better and deciphering these feel free to give it a comb over and let me know what you think. I know this doesn't apply to most of you though.   http://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/htms/billlaw.htm
  9.
  10. I agree but like TMF said, if the majority doesn't belief in the constitution then it does no good. I haven't given up hope yet but I am worried.
  11. I have been wanting to come participate as well but am also short on ammo. When some pops up you might see me there.
  12. Yeah you did a good job from the looks of it. Just saying I couldn't find the nerve to do it. Heck  I cringe when I have to knock roll pins out of some of mine haha.
  13. Yikes! That took some guts! I don't think I could bring myself to take a torch to an 870. +1 for the ingenuity though.
  14. Got a "free" samsung 50" plasma with a furniture purchase about two years ago that I have been happy with so far. Probably gonna try an LED OLED when the price is right. I imagine the LED's will drop once the OLED takes off.
  15. I agree 100%. Majority rules in most things including who is voted in/out. Unfortunately we don't seem to be the majority.
  16. My personal favorite on anything IWB is a hybrid holster (crossbreed, kholster, etc.) I had a "tuk this" holster and didn't really like anything about it. The j clip type deal was hard to get on my belt vs a regular over the top clip. The soft leather didn't distribute the "feel" of the gun on my side like the big piece of leather on a hybrid will do either. There are plenty of good options but I just think the hybrid types are the most comfortable. Once it conforms to your body you won't even know its there with a shield in it.
  17. And there we have it! Thanks for clearing that up.
  18. Pretty sure I'd move the candle in the center of the table and just leave that bad boy right in the middle. I would look at it and small all during my meal.
  19. GI I feel you brotha. Over the last few days I have adopted your views on all of this. Saturday I drove to every Walmart in my area as well as bass pro. About mid ways through I was thinking, "What am I doing?" I am making myself sick trying to find some ammo just to SHOOT! I have 100 rounds coming in today that I paid too much for. Once that is gone I am going to take up another hobby until this crap goes away.
  20. You can post these in one reply rather than each picture having it's own post. I don't care either way but the mods may not like this. Kind of like bumping your thread up every post.   Oh, and looks like a great event and a great time!
  21. I think that guy is just a nobody. It showed a kind of close up on Carl after they passed him. I think that's just one more segment where they show Carl making judgements on Rick's actions. Who knows though.   They definitely threw a curve ball with Tyrese's group possibly helping the gov.
  22. Welcome from down the road in Moscow!
  23. Just wondering how everyone is choosing to spend the ammo they have on training. I know dry fire practice is a given but I am talking about actual drills or tactics you are doing. I know you guys that were smart enough to have enough on hand to sustain you through this mess probably aren't being affected. I am mainly looking to hear from the guys that may not have a huge stockpile. Any comments are welcome though. :pleased:   I myself just finally got 100 rounds I ordered online but haven't been able to find any in person. I was contemplating doing some IDPA but I don't know if that is the best way to spend it. I have only put about 50 rounds through my M&P and even though it's not much different from a Glock it is still a new platform to me. I am considering just doing a draw and fire one shot just to get that draw stroke and first shot down but I don't want to train my brain to fire only one shot. If I fire multiple shots though I'll burn through that ammo in no time. Kind of a catch 22.
  24. I have been pondering this myself. I have always' CC'd but I have been looking for a way to "do my part" in this political climate on top of emailing, calling, and writing my officials. I decided that I would start open carrying on occasion when out in the public and all the time at work. But rather than tell folks to mind their own business I would hope to educate them or at least have a nice exchange and hope it leaves an impression. I may be daydreaming there but I can say that the few times I have done it I haven't got any negative remarks and have actually had one or two good conversations started by it.   If they do "full liberal" on me then I will tell them to go fly a kite and mind their own business....
