  1. Thanks for all the offers folks. I believe I have secured something that will work for me!
  2. Thanks. Being in the West side of the state isn't great for my classified options! I'll probably go pick up a Savage Axis or Ruger American if I don't get a bite soon. .243 is my preference. I've already got the Marlin 336 in the safe for him to use later on but it would probably put him on his tail now. He's really just beginning to hunt with me and we are shooting my way to heavy suppressed 6.5 Creedmoor.
  3. I have one on my American. It started out as a .308 but I've since changed the barrel to a heavy custom 6.5 creedmoor. The stock is a good bit heavier than the original but I was going for that. If you are going for a lighter package, maybe look elsewhere. But, if you want a nice stick to soak up some recoil, you'll like the Magpul.
  4. Here is your chance at the latest TGO Protech if you missed out! I have determined that I am just not an automatic EDC knife guy and don't want to have such a nice knife sitting in my drawer. I have carried it for a few weeks, opened a few boxes, and cut a few envelopes open. It has no hard usage and hasn't had a sharpener taken to it yet. It will come with everything it came with including a really cool sticker. I am asking what I paid plus $5 for shipping. $235 shipped by Paypal or Venmo.
  5. Like new Glock 26 Gen 5 with all factory items including 3 mags. SOLD West TN area.
  6. Just got mine 30 minutes ago. It has already been opened approximately 100 times. It fires so hard!
  7. Looking for a medium to small caliber hunting rifle. Stock could be synthetic or wood with wood preferred. I'm in the Memphis area but could drive an hour or so for the right deal.
  8. I have totally considered that haha. I am actually going to build up a little 4 sided cap to put a few shingles or tin on. Just so it runs off well.
  9. I've always heard that but I'm assuming they'd still see some sort of major contrast difference wouldn't they? Stark white against darker woods colors? I'll of course be brushing it in and it will be inside of a woods line.
  10. I've been planning to build a nice deer blind with plenty of room for my son and I but with the cost of materials being so high, I haven't made it a priority. Our church recently replaced it's steeple due to structural issues and I was able to grab the fiberglass base from it. It should make an excellent blind and should really only need some paint, a few hinges and latches, and a piece of plexiglass for the windows. I will have to put something on top to seal the hole as well but that's not a big deal. It's 6*6 so it should be plenty of room for us.
  11. I'm pretty much done with my garden this year apart from tomatoes and peppers. We have put up a bumper crop of peas, had a decent squash output, and just OK on everything else. Now, to focus on the sweet sorghum. I'm hoping to cook around the beginning of September.
  12. Yeah just a simpler hunting rifle. Something for the youngin.
