1. Welcome to TGO neighbor. I'm just down the road from you in Columbia.
2. It was a pleasure to meet you today Rob. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I'd like to see that Saxon house when you get it done.
3. Welcome to the forum and back to Tennessee!
4. I've got 13 skins for you. I can get you 4 more tomorrow if you want them.
5. I almost came home with a gen3 G17 as well cuz they were only asking $400. I'll start looking tonight for more mags and a holster.
6. I went into my LGS and they had a lot of Glocks in stock. They had new and used. I have been wanting to try out a Glock 19 so I picked up a used gen3 at a great price. I don't want this to appear to be an advertisement, but there's some good deals on Glocks. Now, can anyone tell me where to get some more mags for it at a decent price?
7. I'm no legend at all. I'm just an average guy that's always happy to help a fellow TGO'er.
8. I'll put in a call and see how many I can get for you.
9. Any certain number you're looking for? A friend of mine does processing, so I'm sure I can get you more than just what I kill.
10. The classes are usually free. Look here for available classes http://www.tn.gov/twra/huntered.html I would definitely take your son so you both get it done and out if the way. It is required by TN that anyone over 10 years old that's not hunting family owned land to have the class.
11. So that's where the bucks in Columbia were hiding yesterday! I looked for them all day yesterday. Congrats on 2 great bucks
12. Looks like someone has been on The Chive. It took me a moment to find her in the pic when I first saw it.
13. Roverboy what is your hunting setup? What kind of location?
14. I'm with you DaveS, I don't give many free passes. I'm more picky during early bow season, but after that I don't let too many walk. I do try to let the bucks grow, but I also gotta have meat in my freezer. I'm sure there's some more people on here that got some deer. C'mon guys post your deer pics!
15. I managed to come home with a 6 pt after sitting in the stand for less than an hour. It looked to be an 8 pt until i got right upon it. Oh well, he'll eat just the same. That's the shortest I've ever sat in the stand.
16. "Hold on I'm gonna try something"
17. If you've got a smart phone, download an app called isolunar. It's been pretty good and accurate over the last year.
18. I've found the the primos truth cam 35 to be a great camera for a budget hunter. They take great photos and video and you can buy them at Walmart for $79.99
19. I'm also dropping Dish specifically because of the walking dead.
20. Thanks for the info guys. I always like to do research rather than just jumping into things.
21. If it gets too confusing as to what can and can't be reloaded for 12 gauge, then I may just be jumping into reloading pistol and rifle that much quicker. I shoot a lot more of those anyway.
22. I've been reading several different threads on here about reloading and casting. I'll admit that I'm totally clueless. However, I stumbled across a deal on 2 MEC shotgun reloaders that I couldn't pass up. 1 is a MEC 600jr and I'm still trying to figure out which MEC model the other is because it has no sticker or engraving. My questions are this: 1) what's a good book to start researching and learning? 2) where does everyone get their shotgun reloading supplies and what are the normal costs? ( I already have David in mind b/c I like to support my local people) I figured I'd start with 12 gauge since I had a good deal land in my lap. After I get the hang of this, I'd like to start reloading other calipers. I've bookmarked Dolomite's "Beginner's List" ( that's the name I've given it anyway) as a place for me to start later on. Also, you guys seem to be having too much fun casting. I guess I'll just try to join you in that as well as soon as I can locate the pieces I'll need at prices that won't break the bank. I look forward to hearing your responses. I'm very thankful that I've found this site with such good people and information.
23. So far I've taken 2 does total.
24. Welcome to the forums! Nice Deadmau5 avatar by the way.
25. I think I'll just be nice and tell you what I do rather than show a photo. I'm a wound care nurse. I work with any and all wounds and let's just say some are very impressive.
