M1A with a Sage stock. Long range accuracy with a .308 and adjustable LOP to fit you.

Tims ford is Corps of Engineers.

I never would have suspected that you got yourself a BOLT ACTION rifle. Nothing in automatic in anything is it??? Revolver for a pistol, pump for a shotgun, and .............................. bolt action for a rifle.

How does a security escort get his hands on top secret documents at one of the nations most secure facility. I think that this "scandall" goes deeper than just him.

If my memory serves me correctly, the rear sight cut on a Glock isn't straight. It's slightly hourglass shaped to allow the plastic sights to be installed. I've been told that using locktite on it was recommended.

The permit class that I took wouldn't let you shoot anything smaller than a 9mm or .38 Special. I've shot a High Point only once in my life. It wasn't that accurate, but it worked. As far as using a .380 to defend yourself with, I think that a .380 you have on you is better than a .45 you left in the truck. My wife carries a .32 Kel-Tec and I'm fine with that.

If nobody responds, PM ETS or Hero Gear. They have experience in the NFA/Class 3 type info.

I watched that yesterday. It's one of my favorite movies. I have the collector's edition DVD. Connor: Jesus. He brought a six-shooter. Murphy: There's nine bodies, genius. Connor: What the f--k were you going to do, laugh the last three to death, Funny-Man?

good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun

I can still escape Wes, all hope is not lost. I'm just grounded from buying any new toys for a while. Next time you drive by my house, stop in. You followed me up Watertank the other day, I was in the green crew cab dually with all the stuff in the back of it. I live in the new house beside Dr. Shull.
-
We might have to talk about that, or finding me a good 1100 Tactical. But you know the situation, I'm "grounded" right now.

Will you transfer that Franchi LAW 12 over to me??? I'll pay you $150 or 42.5% of MSRP for it.
-
I voted what I paid as well. I've only transfered one gun. My local shop is really good about getting stuff in that you want. All you have to do is talk to them and Dan or Joe will hook you up.

There have been instances of undercover police officers being shot and killed by people trying to "help" the nicely dressed bad guy. I wouldn't intervene unless I was absolutely, positevely sure of the situation.

The Castle Doctrine is just words on a piece of paper. I would rather be alive and getting sued than be dead.

Welcome. You should check out Mid TN Shooters in Manchester when you want to shoot. It's alot closer than Knoxville and they hold IDPA, USPSA, and 3 gun matches there.

I got rid of my G19 and got an XD .40 V-10 ported model. It shot great, but the ports kept my front sight nasty. I had a sub-compact XD as well. They both shot good, but my heart wasn't in them. I now have a S&W M&P compact, which took the place of the sub compact XD, and a Sig 226 which took the bigger XD's place. There was a 1911 or two mixed in there as well.

Slushee question for July: Shotguns: Pump or Auto?
Donnie replied to dcloudy777's topic in Long Guns
So Joe, when you get the M1S90 are you going to let me get the Franchi Law12 from you??? -
I loved the cartoon and I must agree with it. I've owned a Glock 19 and several 1911s. I'll get me another good 1911 one of these days, but I'll never own another Glock. It didn't shoot right for me. It was accurate, but it didn't point right.

Slushee question for July: Shotguns: Pump or Auto?
Donnie replied to dcloudy777's topic in Long Guns
I like a semi-auto shotgun over a pump. The simpler the mechanics of firing, the better. The racking of the pump might scare off most people, but to the ones hell bent on doing you in, it's just letting them know where you are. You can fire a auto in positions where it would be dificult to fire a pump, like prone or real confined spaces. Another thing to think about is that you can fire an auto if your weak hand or arm is injured, where as this would be dificult with a pump. I favor the gas varieties over the inertia driven driven shotguns though. -
The shooting portion of the class is a piece of cake. If you can shoot 3" groups at 15 yards, you'll have no problem. The price for the class is about right and it's pretty basic, as most classes conform to the state's requirements. You'll hear the legal aspects of carrying, basic safety, watch the movie that the state supplies, and get a general basic handgun information session. I wouldn't worry a bit about taking it.

I'd pay the $25 + the $10 fee. My local dealer gets all of my business. Sorry to stray off of the subject, but what do you think of gun shops that aren't open on saturdays or after most people's normal working hours? If I need something, I'm not going to take off from work to go and do it. There was a shop here that closed at 4:30 and I could NEVER make it there. Thankfully for us, Hero Gear came along and are open till 6 and are open on Saturdays till 4.

I have yet to take any pictures of my little black rifle, or any of my new toys to be exact.

I would have never guessed that you were born north of the Mason-Dickson line Eddie, well maybe if it wasn't for that accent. I was raised by rednecks in Indiana myself. Oh, and welcome.

There are some board members in this photo from the Tactical Response Fighting Pistol class. Can you identify any of them??? Well, any of them besides my ugly mug
