  1. I'm trying to find the load data I need but can't find it anywhere. I'm using Accurate 2495 in my .308 loads. I've had good success with the 168g Matchking but can't find the load data for the same powder for 165g Gameking. Can anyone help me out?   Edit: I've got emails in to both Accurate and Sierra and have yet to hear from either.
  2. I'm going to an Appleseed event in November and part of the preparation listed on the website is to fire 10 dry shots in the prone position "by the numbers". However, they don't say what that means. Could someone point me to someone who can explain it to me? Also, I know they're going to be teaching using slings which I never do so if anyone can describe how to attach my sling and use it while I'm holding a rifle (ar) I would appreciate it.
  3. I'll take one.
  4. I'll take one.
  5. This guy : http://solar1234.com/ knows a ton of stuff when it comes to renewable energy. He's not that big on solar because there are cheaper/easier ways to store energy but he does detail how to use it. I highly suggest listening to his stuff.
  6. This. With his line of sight, every car that passed would have been directly behind the suspect. I was in his line of sight for a few seconds and with my family in the car it made me extremely nervous.
  7. The other day I was driving along on 58 towards Oak Ridge when I saw a OR cop car in the right lane stopped with lights on. When I got closer I saw he had an AR pointed at a suspect who was also pulled over on the shoulder walking backwards with his hands up. The cop was the only one there. Can anyone tell me what would be the reason for such a show of force? Not to mention being stopped in the right hand lane of a busy highway. The only thing I could think of when I drive by was "Rule #4!"
  8. Yeah. Sheesh, you'd think I'd posted a pic of myself stomping a litter of kittens to death.
  9. Try putting the thing back together with greasy fingers. Took a good bit of wiping down to get it white again.
  10. Say I was changing the handgaurd and the same barrel was going right back on the same upper...
  11. So how close should you be to make it "sporting"?
  12.   Or hunting:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu2EqO1qbrQ
  13. My lower has been naked for months now. I'd like something in 5.56, 18" or 20". If anyone knows where one might be hidden, I would appreciate a heads up.
  14. They must've gotten a big shipment in, I'll be getting mine Wednesday. Ordered on Dec 25th.
  15. I'd like to have one. Don't really care what the serial # is but if we're taking requests I want 69.
  16. From Alexander's FB page: Yesterday’s vote was only a procedural vote on whether to debate gun rights and Sen. Alexander has said he’s “always ready to defend and debate the Second Amendment constitutional rights of Tennesseans” on the Senate floor against those who seek to infringe on them. A second procedural vote, which will require 60 votes, will be required before final passage of any legislation – Sen. Alexander has said he “will oppose any legislation that infringes on our Second Amendment rights.”
  17. This was on Alexander's website: WASHINGTON, April 12 – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today made the following statement on his decision to oppose an amendment to expand background checks by Senators Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.). Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has said the Toomey-Manchin amendment will be the first to come up when the Senate begins deliberation of gun legislation next week.   “I’ll examine each amendment to determine whether it strengthens or infringes upon our Second Amendment rights,” Alexander said. “The Toomey-Manchin proposal to expand background checks in my opinion doesn’t meet that test and I will vote against it.”
  18. Seems I get "In stock" alerts about an hour too late. Its the last part I need for a build. All I need is one that works. Nothing fancy.
  19. How many gun owners will treat Colt, Mossberg, Stag Arms, Ruger and Marlin like they're treating Colorado companies? Will Ruger step up like Magpul did? The whole "Contact your reps" thing on they're page has a lot more meaning now.
  20. Saw this the other day: Solvent Trap   Not sure what to think. Discuss.
  21. Just for reference, a 1500 will hold at least 6 duty sized firearms and some mags. From left to right: Smith and Wesson M&P pro series w/streamlight TLR-1 Glock 17 Glock 19 Glock 19 Ruger SR-22 Ruger Mark III
  22.   It's a shared range and I take home the bucket. Doesn't matter what's in it.
