  1. i'm in the process of finding a truck to meet our family needs .... we'll be on a farm soon and a truck is definitely needed. thinking about a Tacoma ... Still gets decent gas mileage, won't break the bank, and can haul quite a bit. Its not a monster diesel or V8 4x4 but it should get the job done. i think america just wants everything "SuperSized" ... From SUV's, to Burgers, to houses. People live above and outside what they need. I think its ridiculous seeing people drive around in a huge cadillac escalade's ($70+K) and see 1 car seat in the back. A family of 4 or even 5 doesn't need more than your normal sized good gas mileage sedan ....
  2. you're welcome guys always happy to share some of the great "forwards" my mom sends along! haha
  3. Yeah, was going to clean & lube everything on the interior, but the exterior literally has 10 ounces of liquid hanging off it haha ... so much so, it started leaking out of the plastic case. will try a microfiber cloth & water, and go from there! Will definitely give a range report as well as the necessary pics ... maybe even the wife shooting it
  4. Picked up my Daniel Defense AR today! Plan to get pics tomorrow after I give her a thorough cleaning. Talk about gun grease .... The AR is soaked sitting in its plastic bag. Any tips on cleaning all the grease off?
  5. if i didn't already have a PM9, I'd pick one up. BUT ... I do, and am very happy! Would love to see more people pick up the CW9 ... Kahrs are EXCELLENT firearms, but the following is quite small.
  6. Another one from the mom's ... ____________________________________________ $50 Lesson I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? She replied, I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people. Her parents beamed with pride. Wow...what a worthy goal. I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house. She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50? I said, Welcome to the Republican Party. Her parents still aren't speaking to me.
  7. i got to shoot a PX4 storm a few months back. Felt recoil was almost non existent and it was just an overall pleasure to shoot if you are thinking of picking one up, I wouldn't hesitate .... Its a great firearm
  8. CDukes .... Where's this list of required tools? I'd be interested in seeing it!
  9. Yeah ... been going back and forth between the Moss 500 & Rem 870 .... That 887 looks pretty cool .... Will look more in to it.
  10. very captivating .... sat there and stared at it for a good 5 minutes .... watched the poppa get defensive about sea gulls flying overhead... kind of neat
  11. this thread is useless without the story behind it ... what time of day? where in the smokies? why did you go out back ... got an out house back there? give us some deets!
  12. Haha ... When she arrives, pics will be taken Interesting, may have to look in to these guys for the wife's AR Yeah, still leaning towards an M&P for the wife ... we'll see how she likes the DD before I slap down more money on an M&P

    Kahr Pm9

i don't really get any sort of pain when shooting mine. I picked up mine used, but in LNIB condition. Not a single mark or ding on it ... Previous owner said he had about 200 rounds through her. Have taken her to the range probably 4-5 times, and run atleast 100 rounds down the pipe each time. Never a single issue. She's been a breeze to shoot. I would say, lube her up good before your first trip, then completely break down and clean after your first trip and you should be good to go.
  14. Just picked up a Daniel Defense AR Decided to go big & not go home Next up ... a shottie & AK
  15. Thanks Moped Leaning towards a DD at this point. Easily customizable, will allow me to learn the ropes while having an awesome AR Gonna start researching Arsenal now!
  16. thanks everyone Looks like I'm leaning towards the M&P15 .... Although ... Buds has quite a few options. Thinking this one because its Optic Ready: S&W M&P 15OR .223 Carbine 16" $799.00 SHIPS FREE Someone mind looking at the list of M&P15's: Smith & Wesson Rifles Outside of the 10 rounders, I'm having a hard time deciphering between them and why some are more expensive
  17. Forgot to add, I was also thinking about S&W !!!! Thanks Garufa!
  18. Hey Guys ... Been spending time on AR15, but its such a damn cluster****. I can't get any straight information. I'm looking for a good AR15 out of the box. I'd like to shoot it, clean it, learn the different parts, a mod lightly until I feel comfortable building one myself. However, opinions on AR15 are nuts ... I haven't even bothered posting because I would get about 15 diferent answers ... So, with that said, been looking at the following: Bushmaster Colt Spikes Can anyone recommend a good out of the box AR15 that seems to be reputable? Price really isn't an factor, but I would rather not pay a premium for something I will never compete with Mostly a weekend shooter, and something to keep on hand if SHTF I'd also like to pick up an AK...any suggestions there as well would certainly be appreciated! Help this long gun noobie out! THANKS! -Rusty
