  1. Yeah, it through me off at first, until you realize, you can't load it the other way. Rim on the casing stops it, so you can only load it this one way which is nice Will definitely keep the thread updated They've since raised the price $50 since I bought it -- They're at $999 now, but since I was on the waiting list since 2010, I got the $949 price Introducing a new type of firearm from a new manufacture and asking over $1,000 would probably be a bit tough. I have no doubt they may in the future -- especially with the other types they plan to come out with, but just going - and releasing a firearm like this in a down economy, I think its priced about right One funny (actually sad) thing about getting these -- The awesome guys at D&T sat on hold for an hour trying to get a background check for the firearms, since no option for "Boberg Arms" was in the computer Luckily it didn't take anything more than a phone call!
  2. Hey Dolomite, I don't mind sharing. They were $949/each + about $28 in shipping/per. The waiting list is currently at I believe 12 months? Something around there. He is ramping up production more and more -- I have serial #'s UNDER 200 I was a bit "ridiculed" when I purchased 3, but ehhh ... whatever They surely won't drop in value within the next 1-2 years! haha I didn't think I would ever spend this much on a handgun (outside of some higher end 1911's), but after holding one, putting it side by side with a glock 26 (that has roughly the same size barrel) and looking at how small it is compared to it, my fears of over paying were gone The fit & finish is bar none, amazing. It puts any gun I've owned previously to shame.
  3. posted my picture thread here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/68009-my-boberg-xr9-s-bullpup-handgun.html#post850683
  4. Well, I waited 15 months & 1 day for these to arrive. I learned a good bit of patience and was pleasantly surprised with the end result. Manufactured by Boberg Arms, up in Minnesota. Fully USA Manufactured & Assembled. Arne the owner is a great guy! These are by no means cheap, but probably the best quality firearms I've ever owned. They operate much like a bullpup ... Here's a picture better explaining it. I'll be taking her to the range tomorrow and will let ya'll know how she did. Without further ado ... This is my Boberg Arms XR9-S and her brother & sister
  5. Well... I got them in my hands. The guys at D&T are awesome! They ended up having to wait on hold for an hour and a half since boberg arms isn't a recognized handgun in TN! Great group of guys Dave has over there. I'll get some pics up tonight or tomorrow!
  6. Just got word!!!! I CAN PICK THEM UP TONIGHT!
  7. I know ... called in and was told Dave wasn't in = meaning, i couldn't get until he was when is he back from the SHOT show?

  9. I do miss the MK9 the most ... Talk about reliable ... My PM9 was just as reliable but the MK being made out of SS -- Little felt recoil comparively speaking to the other polymer kahrs! As for the Bobergs ... Its been 9 weeks, and that is what I was told (paid 11/14/2011) so I'm thinking I should be getting an email any day now telling me they shipped. Who knows though ... I'm just extactic i was actually able to pay for them! LOL
  10. Happy to hear and happy to say "I told ya so!" Haha ... Enjoy your kahrs threeeighty! I miss mine

  16. My buddy who took me shooting for my birthday got me interested. First time shooting ... SA 1911 45 acp ... Started with a decent sized caliber, and everything else since has seemed like Childs Play
  17. The Easy part is now over with ... The "HARD" Part is the wait for that HCP Enjoy the Wally Walk when that day comes!
  18. Sent you a PM if you really have your heart set on bars
  19. to be honest .... government coins are more liquid, and more recognizable. assuming you stick with private mints (NWT, Engelhard, JM, etc...) you should be fine. Me personally, I'd look at Austrian Philharmonics. Low Premium, Beautiful Coin, and easily recognizable (they will still carry a slight premium when it comes times to sell) just my $.02 cents. I have plenty of bars as well, but prefer coins
