  1. I purchased (3) Bobergs when my number came up. I still have (1) that I carry to this day. The recoil will be like nothing you have ever felt before. I can put 1,000 rounds down range with mine without any sort of hand fatigue. Instead of a forward/backward recoil pattern, its more of a lapping/wave type recoil. Freakin awesome and pretty crazy the first few rounds you put down range You won't be disappointed. Best Firearm I Own Period
  2. This .... Although I like Glock, I prefer XD's. After owning several XD's & XDm's ... they feel the most natural. I'd encourage you to find a local range that will allow you to rent or try out used firearms. I know the G&L in Hendersonville has both Glocks & XD's, and may have a Ruger as well. Then go from there....
  3. Thank you all for your input. If we moved to the property, we'd definitely make sure it had some sort of natural water (spring, well, etc....) We wouldn't live off the land initially, but we'd love to eventually have a good sized farm with fresh veggies & fruits. I'm thinking the 25-30 acre range (+/- 5 acres) would be ideal. 5 -10 acres of pasture so I could still take care of alone without too much work, and the rest in hardwoods/trees/etc... so there wouldn't be much upkeep involved.
  4. just started watching it on netflix (season1 that is) ... Can't wait to catch up
  5. Anyone gone through them all? I'm assuming not all 500 are needed. I figured 5-10 would cover most all civilian basics. Happen to know what those are? LOL
  6. Here are mine ... Newest one is on my arm. Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7 (Don't pay attention to the cologne - It was a wedding picture) This is my back piece. I plan to add to it later. Freehand drawn with sharpies. Was a bit worried at what it originally looked like. After it was done - simply breathtaking.
  7. Looking to buy a parcel/tract of land here in the next few months. Seems like I have been searching for forever, and just haven't found the right one. Couple of questions: 1) What would be the MINIMUM size parcel acceptable to hunt via rifle? I figured, 10 would be good enough strictly for bow hunting, but wasn't sure rifle wise. 2) I plan to move my family to this parcel in the next few years. Until then, I may try my hand at hunting, or may lease it. What is the going rate to lease it to an individual (group of individuals) for a specific season? 3) Anything in general you look for in a parcel of land for decent hunting? I'll want at least 5 acres of pasture for building, followed by the rest woods. End Goal = Live on & Hunt off my land Appreciate it!
  8. +1 ... Sig Mosquito's, and the early runs of the P238's & P290's. You'll see quite a few problems. Never had a single issue with any of my XD/XDm's. Outside of my 45 not liking green box wally world JHP's.
  9. they had the same issues when the P238 was released ... Took them a good year or two to solve a majority of the issues.
  10. Good to know Mike! Now i need to see how to reapply for another Padi ID Card!
  11. I was certified when I lived in California. Not sure if I'm still certified to dive (Lost my ID) -- But I truly enjoyed doing it. May one day get certified again, but as you stated ... Its a fairly expensive hobby to have
  12. I use and carry the LCP as a "Get Up Off Me" firearm. I won't ever use it past 5-10 feet, and with the stock sights - I'm good out to about 7 yards, and feel I don't need anything better
  13. Ridgid ... Lifetime Warranty on Batteries & many times, you can catch them on sale where you get a free battery. I used a 10% off coupon on my setup, and got a 3rd battery free
  14. In a report early this morning ... A news reporter commented on the belief that a couple of the weapons may have been stored INSIDE the movie theater. The perp could have gone to a movie earlier in the day, hid the weapons and propped the exit door open so he could easily re-enter later on in the evening. Just speculation, but that is what i figured since exit only exits would not be able to get kicked in. They would need to be battle rammed or something.
  15. This is one of the victim's blogs. She was involved in another shooting just a month and a half ago. Sadly, she was one of the people fatally wounded last night. http://jessicaredfield.wordpress.com/ Victim's & their families will be in our thoughts & prayers ...
  16. The bill's came in the name of her deceased son ... I would have told the city to shove it and make the illegal pay.
  17. +1 Vote for PRP's drop in kit. I have one on my XDm45c No issues - Love it
  18. Or Komifornia ... In reality though, I'm a back slapper too. No, I don't have any homesexual tendancies, nor do I really think about it when I'm doing it, I just normally slap a friends back/shoulder if he leaving or something. Not sure how or why I started doing this ... ? LOL I'll make sure to give you 4ft in each direction Caster if we ever meet
  19. Hey Guys, I'd like to change my username. Can this be done? Thanks in advance!
  20. Shot both a PMR30 (buddy owns one) and rented a FiveSeven at G&L in GB about a year ago. They had a used one, which they allowed me to take for a stroll Anyways ... Hands down, I'd prefer the FiveSeven over the PMR30 ... The only thing the PMR has going for it is the price. If the Five Seven was about $400-500 cheaper, I think it'd be a MUCH more popular firearm The FiveSeven's recoils is relatively non existent, however, the trigger (feel) is terrible IMO. My finger was hurting after 50-75 rounds.... Not from a nasty break, just the grooves! LOL If I got a FiveSeven, I'd have someone make a custom smooth trigger == Otherwise, nothing back to say about the Five Seven
  21. stay away from apmex & nw ... go with ProvidentMetals ... better spreads & cheaper shipping. never thought I'd see sub $30 again, but alas, it came. I'd say its a pretty good time to buy if you got some powder laying around
  22. As a business owner whose business is in the Rivergate Mall area, its hard for me not to support this. I don't consider this "Rule/Regulation" like that have a GunBuster sign ... Gun Ownership ... Gunbuster signs .... HCP Friendly places, etc... all have nothing to do with business in general. This rule/regulation does. If a large group of Teenagers (looking like gangbangers or otherwise) camped out in front of my business during business hours, you best believe the cops would be called. I'm sorry, as a business owner, I don't have the patience for kids hanging out, doing absolutely nothing but being unruly and loitering. Granted, you will have teenagers like your son that go there to shop ... Unfortunately, 98% of teenagers in the mall do nothing but loiter - no matter what time of day. If I was the mall owner, or small business owner in this mall, I would back it 100%. When business owners see no other options, they move out. When there are no businesses within a mall, the mall shuts down. A bad mall with a bad rep = disaster ... Not only for all the small business owners within the mall, but also for the area.
