  1. I can't wait to teach my son to shoot! I wish I had an Uncle Willis to teach me
  2. Social Security is a Ponzei Scheme ... The government feels THEY should hold on to YOUR retirement savings .... I'd prefer to keep & invest my own SS benefits, but unfortunately I have no choice
  3. Interesting & good to know! I enjoy supporting small businesses! Gonna look in to them further! Really appreciate your lengthy post gr8! I shot you a PM for a bit more info on Mike, hope you don't mind! Now, on to some questions. From your .22 cans. What's your favorite and why? What is the most user serviceable? As for 9mm can's -- I looked in to Liberty, but I'm currently leaning towards the Osprey due to the flat top. FIgured it would be easier to see over with my PPQ since taller sights aren't available yet (and I don't know if they will ever be available) Can find much info on the AAC Dragonfly?
  4. Thanks for the Rec's guys! I'll definately look in to them! Not many reviews out on the Thompson Machine Thirty ... I'll have to dig around a bit more. 28 Ounces is heavy! Probably do a 308 in titanium for weight savings!
  5. Thanks Samson, From what I have researched thus far (all of a couple days over at silencertalk) ... The SS Sparow is both easy to clean and relatively light, plus its backed by Silencerco which I hear has great CS. I think for me -- Ideal would be Easy to take apart/clean and dB Reduction. Price isn't a factor since these will be lifelong partners I've looked in to Titanium too. Not sure what would hold up best over the long run Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated! Good idea, as I plan to pick up a .308. Need to research and find some 308 cans being used on 5.56 rifels. I'll be sure to check out both dealers you have mentioned!
  6. Thanks nysos! When they order to have it shipped, would that be a class III transfer? At which point, I think most places make you pay $100 or so on a Class III transfer. Or since the shop is ordering it for you, just your standard Form 4? Sorry for the noob questions As for running a 5.56 on a 22 ... I've actually looked at reviews where people do this, along with running like an Osprey with .22. Since these can's will be with me for life, I figure, a dedicated approach will be best, although I can always run a 9 or 5.56 can on the 22 if I have to
  7. Hey Guys ... Finally got my NFA Trust squared away, and I plan to jump in with both feet. Plan to go big on this first go around Thinking (3) different caliber suppressors to start. Called G&L and their Class III man was out for a couple of days, so I figured I would ask the friendly guys around here if anyone knows of a gunshop that has a decent stock of both rimfire/pistol/rifle suppressors? Also tried calling Nashville Gun Shop, they have none. Calibers I plan to go with: 1) SS Sparrow (22lr) 2) 9mm Can 3) .223/5.56 Can If anyone can recommend a good 9mm and/or 223 can, I'd appreciate it. Think I'm already dead set on the SS Sparrow for .22 Thanks Guys! Can't wait to join the group of a Class III Owner!
  8. they do realize, without Corporations, much of what they would be "selling for obama" wouldn't even exist right?
  9. not a great show. stopped by today ... outside of some rifles, and 1 ammo table, there were zero handgun tables. will never go back unfortunately
  10. pretttttty! I have to admit, I love the looks
  11. Mykltn ... Any pics of the sweet baby eagle yet?
  12. your supposed to be given the paperwork as you leave the class. something doesn't sound right?
  13. Nevermind, found it! http://www.tncsgunandknifeshow.net/
  14. D&T Arms ... 30-35 minutes from where you are. Nice guys and $15 dollar transfers
  15. lol ... great minds think alike peejman! anyways.... this thread got me thinking ..... Watched This Video: Feel fine with my choice still. The 115gr JHP will do just fine for all intended purposes
  16. Hey Spots, I see, I see I didn't want my post to come off condescending ... I should have put "Correct me if I'm wrong" -- I belong to several other forums and the amount of debt they incur just to secure their hobby is atrocious. Anyways ... To the question at hand ... SP101 with 3" barrel in .357 gets my vote
  17. I prefer Holo's myself, so my vote is for the EOtech. Never been a fan of standard red dots From what I have seen though - Aimpoints are the preferable choice Good luck! Both will serve their purpose well!
  18. Damn, I must be cheap... Wally World Green Box Remington 115gr JHP Why: 100 rounds for $25 bucks. At the end of the day, shot placement is key. Never had a single issue with these JHP's in any firearms, and I probably have shot 2000+ of these JHP's
  19. Congrats! Get some pic's up when you get a chance!
  20. This is either someone else's tax dollars or you are indebting yourself even further. My Opinion = Save the funds for a rainy day, or to start paying down that student loan when it comes due. You asked for suggestions, and I gave you mine!
  21. I was able to pick up quite a bit of 9mm today at wallyworld too the ones around me don't carry any firearms, just ammo!
  22. Go with the micro mykltn ... Your only real other alternatives IMO, are the Seecamps (380's are EXPENSIVE) or Rohr's which are also expensive. I once looked in to the MDE, but decided against it. Have you researched to see if anything can be done with the trigger pull at all?
