  1. PPQ ... Why you might ask? You'll love it so much you'll sell your Glock & M&P and have even MORE money to spend on other firearms
  2. LOL ... I've heard of an issue with the Maps, however, I don't use it. I have GPS in my vehicles
  3. I use Apple products because like others have said, they just plain work. There newest phones don't have everything some Android phones do, but then again, you hardly hear of issues with the more stable iOS. In my opinion -- Apple doesn't release a feature unless is works 100% of the time. I like my iPhone -- I don't do much with it, but it has never failed me. With that much success, I see no reason to switch. Putting this in gun terms ... Android = 1911 (Unique - Fully Customizable, but many have their fair share of problems) iPhone = Glock (Boring - It just plain works) <-- I went this route
  4. This is me ... Not a fan of ANYTHING in OD ...
  5. Same Here! 45 colt & 38 snubnose .... Awesome!
  6. Well said Robert, well said. With that said -- When the pot gets up over $200-300+ Million, I've been known to spend $5 bucks LOL
  7. UnkleJak, Thanks for your input! Those kits do look good and are very reasonably priced! hmmmm ... Gonna look in to Deer Run Cabins a bit more
  8. Thanks for all the great info Spots! Red, I'll certainly look in to that DVD! Thanks!
  9. Prayers for you & yours David! I pray God brings you & your wife peace over the upcoming days/weeks/months!
  10. I remember watching a documentary on lottery winners. Most (90%+) end up going bankrupt within a matter of years. When someone is given million(s) of dollars, most don't know what to do. They spend it, give it away, and within a matter of years, are right back where they started or worse off. It really is sad Do this news story suprise me? Nope ...
  11. For the last year, I've been looking for that perfect piece of land. Mostly woods, with perhaps a bit of pasture to put a nice Log Cabin. The Cabin would be used as a hunting/camping retreat. Taking the family and the kiddo's to a couple times a month through the summer, and used likely exclusively for hunting come fall/winter. It would also make a nice BoL should the time ever come. Been researching it a bit .... From what I have researched so far, *kit* homes aren't the way to go. I want something at about 800 sq ft or so ... Electric will be run to the property along with a well dug for a shower/toilet. Figured I'd ask and see if anyone here has ever built one themselves or had someone build one for them Watching this video has given me some hope and some good ideas. Don't think this guy spent much of anything as most everything has been recylcled. Outside of utlities/plumbing, its a pretty nice setup
  12. Good post Joe ... No doubt, a special *skill* will be needed if/when a TEOTWAWKI event happens. Having stores & cache's of things will only last so long. Livestock, Farming, Leatherworking, Gunsmith, Blacksmith, clothes making, etc... A skill will allow for bartering (service for sevice) and will put food on the table should you need it.
  13. I think this story hits me harder right now than it would have in the past. I've only been a dad for 4 months, but knowing that I not only have to bury my son, but that I'm the one that has caused him to be buried would cripple me emotionally for a LONG time!
  14. O ... I should add ... The 20" Version 02 is sold out for the 308. Only the 16.5" V2 is available.
  15. I've been thinking about it as well, and had the same questions in the vepr thread Would love to hear some reviews. Been thinking the 20" myself ... Worse case -- I take it to a qualified gunsmith to chop it & recrown it
  16. Speechless ... According to the report, his son actually tried to attack him prior to the shooting. Read more: http://www.foxnews.c.../#ixzz27k5FZJmi
  17. Was going over the list today ... And its astonishing ... The amount of firearms, the amount of old flags, and NFA items! The link posted was for Auction #1. Take a look at Auction #2 .... http://jamesdjulia.com/auctions/div_catalog_327.asp?pageREQ=2 Take a look at ALL THOSE NFA Items! M16's (which look brand new) -- H&K's -- Tommy Guns -- A freakin MG42/59! 20+ NFA Fully Transferrable Firearms all in Excellent Condition. That's just nuts! Thanks for the eye candy Greg!
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if 2016 is played on FOX a day or two BEFORE the actual election. I'd be ALL for it

    VEPR!!!!

Found the answer I was looking for. The version 02's are the ones with threaded barrels. So the integrated sight models are the version 02's and therefore, ARE threaded http://centerfiresystems.com/integratedsight.aspx
  20. This would be my preferred method I had an uncle that passed away from an outpatient surgery. He was golfing that morning .... I remember, when I heard about it, thought -- That's a great way to go. Doing something you love that morning, and passing away peacefully later that afternoon. This is what I fear if I were to pass away before my wife & son
  21. xRUSTYx

    VEPR!!!!

Although -- At 8lbs + ... Maybe the shorter 16.5" would be better (and slightly lighter)
  22. xRUSTYx

    VEPR!!!!

I was thinking the 20" would be the perfect *median* for HD/hunting Put a decent scope on it and call it a day
