GB isn't working for me right now though ... anyone else with this issue?

Yup .... Makes me wish I had more AR's sitting around so I could put them up for sale.

$2999 is reasonably priced for a SCAR atleast over the last 48 hours ...   Just watched a FDE SCAR 17s on Gunbroker go for $4k+

Whats FN say about the lifespan of a SCAR barrel scout? 

I've tried doing it on a Mac and a PC and neither work for me... I can close/lock my own thread, but not switch or edit the title to "Sold"       

  LoLoL!  I've read this many places.  People baulk at a $3k price tag, but then you talk to owners, and they say they would happily spend that money all over again.   I can't wait to give mine a whirl.  Do you have any specials shops to get mags at?

I bit the bullet and picked one up today .... Tough $3k pill to swallow, but I just couldn't wait anymore.  I picked up the black version -- I found nothing in FDE except $3500+ on GB.   I tend to prefer black rifles anyways.  I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

.50 BMG ... Will take care of anything & everything.  From blowing up squirrels, to downing polar bears in the arctic.  You can't go wrong with the .50 cal! ;)   haha ... j/k   Personally, if its strictly used for hunting, its hard to beat Savages in .308.  Good all around Caliber .... .22 for your varmint, and a .308 for larger game :)

Ultimately ... This article won't get picked up by major media outlets.    We live in a time where media only reports things that further their own agenda. 

I've tried it a lot as well.  I get the permission's error.  It will allow a lock though :)

Sad part about Scar's (both the 16s & 17s) ... Back in August -- They were running about $2000 - $2100, even for the FDE one's.   I was about to pick one up back then but decided to hold off ... If I decide to get one now, it looks like it was a $1,000 mistake :(

+1   Noticed it Saturday night.  Thought it may be my internet, then ran a speedtest and all was fine and dandy.   Very slow, and almost never times out.  Tends to get better for me about midnight.  After 8-9pm, I rarely get on because of the slowness.

That's a good deal and a nice rifle!   Smart pickup!

Talked with the boys at D&T about this today .... We are mostly in agreement that if something were to happen, it will likely be the Gunshow/Private Party sale loophole.  If an individual is selling to another, a transfer will end up having to be performed at a gun store, much like having a gun transferred in from out of state.

Yeah ... Its a bit broad, but then again, you have to remember 90% of parents don't raise children to handle/treat firearms with respect.   I plan to raise my son shooting firearms.  Teaching him to treat every firearm as loaded, and should one get left out, run & tell daddy.  If all parents did this, we'd see a lot fewer accidents involving children & firearms :)
