Associating a corrective shock collar and your step daughter is not the best approach in my opinion. I don't necessarily believe the "Alpha Dog" theory, but you can definitely show/prove dominance. We had to with my 160 lb Saint Bernard. Within a week, he was the sweetest dog to everyone he knew. I literally grappled with this dog on the floor over & over & over again for several days before he finally went submissive. You need to get the dog in a submissive position/thinking prior to real corrective training. The dog - albeit showing aggression towards your step daughter -- is simply showing dominance. Proving/Showing that HE dominates YOU, and should the child get near, he will protect whats his -- which in this case, is you, his master. Put the dog in his place. Take him to the ground in a 100% submissive manner, and have your step daughter come and pet him with you literally straddling him upside down on the floor. Its pretty amazing if done correctly.

At the end of the day, this is every LIBS dream .... GROW the Government .... Have the BATFE Control EVERY aspect of our lives ... If this actually get funding for this -- I'd cry! That's our 1 dark horse we have -- They don't have the money to implement something like this Half this country is already walking & talking zombies :( -
FNH Fan ... More-so rifles than handguns. Have shot a few FN FiveSeven's -- Would own one if ammo was a bit cheaper and easier to acquire. I'm gonna put a shameless plug in for Walther here ... Check out the PPQ line if you haven't already :) One of the best factory triggers on the market and an affordable firearm :) Good luck! :)

Private sales aren't legal in Cali I don't believe. You try & do this, and you'd be going to prison unfortunately :( All guns (at least in my understanding) purchased have to go through the "Cool Off" period of 3/5/10 days (something to that extent) and then the gun is actually REGISTERED in your name. Atleast, that is how I last remember it when I lived there :) -
I'm hoping we do go over the fiscal cliff. While taxes will go up for everyone, huge spending cuts happen as well. We need to go over the cliff if we have any hope in an American future.

A used LCR ... I'd picked up a used LCR over a charter arms or taurus wheel gun

I'm a Walther fan, but not a fan of the PPS. I'd hold out for the shield over the PPS personally :)

Us Tennessean's might not have the best info on this ... Quick check over at the California brethren site calguns.net http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=283905 http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=558844 Just a couple, but there are literally HUNDREDS of threads that should likely help do the job :) Good Luck!

Map: Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?
xRUSTYx replied to zapfbroad's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The difference between ours & the one the OP Posted was mapping. The TN one doesn't list your actual address, and you must search by last name. The OP's original mapping one, you don't. Pick a dot and click. If they did this in TN ... I wouldn't know what to think. -
Thanks for sharing!

At what point, do you cross that threshold of needing to register as a dealer? I know when it comes to vehicles, its relatively black & white -- but not so with firearms .... -
Welcome! Trust me, you're in a red part of the state if you are living in Portland :) LOL I'm a fellow sumner county resident! Love it up here!

Yeah ... He did something like 65-70 firearms in a year's time before getting the boot. He even admitted he was doing it to make a profit and hadn't gotten his FFL. -
Best Hearing Protection Advice please

Muffs end up hurting my hears & head ... I use foam plugs. I get a big pack at Home Depot for $12-15 bucks :) -
Welcome fellow Hendersonvillion! :)

Haha I just asked this question last week :) Its only a straw purchase if you KNOW the person you are buying for can NOT legally possess a firearm (ie: felon) ... If you have no knowledge -- perfectly legal.
-
question, answer please...(gun shop buying from wal-mart)
xRUSTYx replied to a topic in General Chat
Not if purchased with his FFL ... It would be under the stores name. Walmart would simply be acting as the distributor -- whether they new it or not. -
Certainly an interesting idea .... Although, I'm not entirely sure what the legal ramifications of doing such a think might mean? Either way ... Something to think about :)
