  1. Hey Guys ...   Been collecting change for quite a few years and would like to finally dump it.   Haven't found a bank up here yet that has a coin machine for its account holders with no fee's (we had quite a few of these banks in Cali when I lived there).  Was hoping someone in Middle TN (Preferably Nashville or higher up 65) that banks with a branch that does.  Don't mind becoming an account holder to utilize the machine.   Thanks!
  2. Here are Camelot and Jordy. Both were adopted out ... We only have Kaylee now .... The most docile dog I have ever met in my life. She sleep's 23.5 hours a day, eat's once a day, and the rest of the time she spends guarding our 8 months old son :) Here she is at 8 weeks: Here she is at 5 months: And here she is now as an adult:
  3.   In my twisted way of thinking ... I was actually thinking exactly this :) LOL
  4.   I'll have to look in to this!  Thanks!     Its a Midway exclusive Righty ... Not sold anywhere else, and don't think I really want to plop down more than $500 on my first scope :)     Interesting .... I'll look in to this as well.  Thanks!
  5. Hey Richard,   Thanks!  I figured, I should probably put some better quality glass on the savage, and relegate the cheaper bushnell scope to a .22 :)    I think I've decided.  After 6 hours of research, I think I've settled for a the Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44 Mil Dot .... Looks like a Midway Exclusive.   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/183567/vortex-viper-hs-tactical-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-5-15x-44mm-side-focus-1-10-mil-adjustments-mil-dot-reticle-matte   This is the thread that sold me on it:  http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3088139&nt=16&page=1
  6.   I seriously almost googled this ... until I realized Caster posted it! LOLOL   Not sure what my google kungfoo would have come back with ... but it would have been interesting!
  7. In my nightly internet searches -- I went over to the darkside (ny gun owners forum) There, they were talking about finding loopholes in the new AR law. WIthin that thread was a link to Calguns on featureless long gun pictures .... :shake: link: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=253777 I could NEVER imagine having to do what these guys have to go through just to have a functional AR, Long gun variant semi auto. Here's just a sampling of that thread. I've never seen some of this stuff, and IMO, made me sick. :leaving: Its sad to think commie's somehow feel features like a pistol grip somehow makes it deadlier and more destructive than a non pistol grip long gun.
  8. I can't help with recoil differences, but what I can tell you is my wife's favorite gun (out of the 20-30 she has shot) is her XDm 9mm Compact!
  9. Righty ... What would YOU run ?!?!?!?   From my limited research, the Bushnell likely won't hold zero running on a .308.  So I figured, I'd move it to the .22, and get better quality glass on the Savage :)
  10. Picked up a used Savage 10 .308 bolt action rifle yesterday from D&T!  Came with a 3-9x bushnell scope that I plan to move to my M&P 15-22 or Ruger 10/22.   With that said, the savage will than be naked, and I'll be in the market for a new scope.  Not looking to make this the ultimate sniper rifle, just something that can reach out and touch 200-300 yards :)   Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.  Will be used for mainly plinking/target shooting & eventually hunting :)   Thanks!
  11.   Good article!  Thanks for sharing!  Quite interesting where that 40% figure came from!
  12. Good to know!  Didn't realize it was that simple.    Thanks for posting!
  13. It does indeed look like a Pre-Order   UPC: PREORDERAR15
  14. I grow it :)  gotten pretty good at planting a 9mm, and having it sprout babies :)   In all honesty -- I stocked up prior to december.  my main source was sgammo.com and walmart :)
  15. My favorite part .... "These guys are corner campers"   HAHAHA   That's what I say in Call of Duty! LOL
  16. They have up to 90 days ...   Mine & the wife's permit took about 3-4 weeks if I remember correctly.  I'd probably guestimate 2 months :)  The time certainly goes slower during the wait, but once you have it, its a great feeling :)   Good luck!
  17. Had this come across my facebook updates.    Great Video if I do say so myself!    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hR3t7j2tUec
  18. When I first started buying/selling guns, I always wrote up BoS's.  Now I just check to make sure they are a TN resident and that's it.  I feel more confident if the person is an HCP holder, but I don't require it :)
  19. haha ...   Completely understand Newman.  I'm a 9mm Fanboy at heart ... I know lots of people wanted a small single stack 45 to rival their 9 counterparts, and I think Springfield did the smart thing in introducing the 45 first :)   I think the 9 will be just as popular, if not more popular than the 45 :)   Can't wait for this to hit the shops so I can go and fondle :)
  20. Newman ... The XDs in 9mm will be popular.   Shoot, look at Shield's in 9mm ... They go for OVER MSRP!   Micro pistols are here to stay and get more and more popular every single day.  It will be nice when this hits the market dropping the price down on shields a bit.   The XDs9 is on my short list of wants :)
  21.   Wait, WHAT ?!?!?!   This is taking it TOO far.  Its one thing to have an opinion and to voice that opinion, but someone writing to someone else's employer is just BS!   Person needs to be outed ...
  22.   From my limited research, I recall reading something that stated, "Hott" Guns on the black market actually sell for or above retail.
  23. Wow!  3 Pages!  Thanks for all your thoughts!   Several of you bring up a good point.  To actually make this work - Gun Registration, or a database would have to be set up, which I am entirely against.  If no database is set up, private sales would continue to happen whether lawfully or not because the feds couldn't double check to see whether or not someone went through an FFL for the purchase.   This won't stop mass killings, and it won't stop criminals from getting firearms.  But what it will do, is perhaps curb gun violence just a tad IMO.  Whether that be .5% or 5% ... It gives less ammunition to the Anti's about "Gun Show Loopholes", and give's peace of mind to the buyer/seller.   But -- As stated .... Its a slippery slope as more & more gun legislation is passed.  This may be the tip of the iceberg, but once the Anti's get this, they'll try and go after more.   I've thought more on it today .... I would still support it, but am also fine using the system we have now :)
