  1. SCAR 17s ... Will handle anything up there, plus you got 20 rounds just in case it don't :)
  2.   Interesting!  Gonna have to check that out!      LOL     Negative ... Not sure how it would look walking in to the range with stroller/diaper bag.  Haha ... Practice drills at home will soon commence however.      Hmmmm... Gonna have to take a look at these!      Very interesting holsters!  Will have her take a look at these as well!   Thanks for all the suggestions guys!
  3.   What ?!?!?! Do you know when your check was cashed and/or went pending ?!?!?!
  4.   Haha ... Thanks TDR (and girlfriend)     She's obsessed with skin tight clothing on jogs.  Those Yoga pants, etc .... We've discussed her carrying regularly to the grocery store, errands, etc... and she IS open to a holster.  So, it will be fun trying different holsters out for her to find one she likes :)  The diaper bag is strapped to the stroller with the pocket carrying the firearm right on top within easy reach.  I felt this was the next best thing outside of on your person.  It was a small compromise for her first carry :)
  5. Well,   It took about 3 years, but she finally did it!   She's a stay at home mom, and rarely goes out except for the grocery store.  Today, she went jogging in the park, and she carried her pink LCP in a wallet holster in the diaper bag!    WOOO HOOO!!!!!!!!
  6. Awesome ... Just Awesome ...   I wish a politician -- ANY politician -- had the balls to do what this "Virtual President" has done.
  7. Springfield XD 9mm Subcompact (XD9SC)   Best $400 or so firearm on the market.  Large capacity, easy to conceal, good for EDC or Home defense :)   My :2cents:
  8.   So would I .... Assuming I didn't have to pay $20k for it! LOL     How about "Average" tier?  Again -- My top tier's were listed because of their rep & all the bell's and whistles.  Colts and S&W's tend not to have all those.  That's all I'm saying .... Mid/Average Tier Up = you're getting a quality rifle.    Its like asking for High, Mid, Lower Tier Car's.  They ALL perform the same function, some just seem to be built better (in the eyes of their owners) and a price tag that tends to reflect that.  That's not to say Kia's aren't great cars - they are just on the lower end of the spectrum while an Aventador is at the higher end ;)
  9.   Only truth exits these lips (errr... fingers)  LOL   Everyone has their opinion.   Mid Tier IMO = Perfect Entry Level AR's.  Colt's and S&W's seem to run like tops.  They tend to not have many bell's and whistles, but do get the job done and do it well :)
  10. Yikes!    First, I figured, maybe you misread and it was a 500 round box.  Nope, I misread! LOL   People need to stick it to these retailers.  My memory is terrible - but I have a pretty good recollection of some of the big retailers never to do business with again.
  11. But a tax on fishing poles .... Helps the children
  12. Top Tier:  BCM, Daniel Defense (DD), Larue, Noveske Mid Tier:  Colt, S&W, Spikes Lower Tier:  DPMS, Double star, Bushmaster, "off" brands.   In my opinion, a S&W M&P15 will cover 99% of hobbyists.  Excellent value for the platform, and I rarely have seen anyone talk bad about them.    I stick with Daniel Defense for my AR platforms -- As they were my first -- And will likely be my last :)
  13. Looks great!  Did you do it yourself?
  14. I'm just hoping most cal's are fully stocked by summer ... if not ... its gonna be a long & boring summer.
  15. Looking good Spots!  Welcome to the club :)   Enjoy!
  16. Very Nice .... I'd like to eventually have a collection like that of Buckmarks :)
  17. i'm so lost :ugh:     this is what i get for growing up in California ....
  18. Just said a prayer for you and yours jcj ... God Bless, and I pray God comforts your grandmother, you & your family.
  19. Hey Guys ...   Spring's coming, and I need to get my mower in tip top shape.  Carbs Cleaned, blades sharpened, brake belts checked, etc....   I also happened upon a Zero Turn Cub Cadet with a piece of property I bought.  Tires are flat, not sure what other issues it may have.   Wanting to know if anyone knows of a Mower Repair/Tune Up place in Middle Tennessee?  Craigslist and google hasn't turned up much.   I don't mind if its a place of business or if its someone that does house calls!  If anyone has suggestions, please let me know!   Thanks
  20.   I'm personally not a huge fan of night sights.  Never have been for some reason :)  The Gen 4 grips are a bit "too aggressive" for me -- Thus the reason I went with the Rubber Talon's.  I never have sweaty palms so the rubber doesn't get slick and works well for me :)  I'm coming from a PPQ trigger which had zero grittiness and a clean takeup/break.  Polishing the internals on the glock certainly isn't a PPQ trigger, but better than the standard :)     Your best bet may be stocking Academy (if you have one over there)   I think they price their Gen 4's at $579, which is a bit more than your requested $549, but they do get them in :)
  21.   Very nice!  Now you've got me thinking of one of the rotary gun racks!  They look sweet!
  22. I ordered the 14 gun padded storage rack & shelf unit on Jan 15th ... and it shipped Monday!  Scheduled for delivery tomorrow!   Rick - the owner - SUPER nice guy!    If you guys want, I can get some pictures when it comes in, and give you a review on the quality!
