  1. I have had the NAA Guardian in .32, Keltec .32 and .380. I have a PF9. I like the PF9, as does the 3 bona fide pistoleros who have shot it. It is a lot bigger than a P3AT or P.32, but much smaller than a G26 in width. Oddly, I have had zero failures with a any of the Kel Tecs. I got rid of the the .32s and the .380. I Do your fluff and buff, break them in and then carry and clean them. I carry my PF9 in a Desantis pocket holster in the front pocket of my cargo pants. It also carries comfortably in my Comp Tac Minotaur IWB, which has a small frame Glock shell.
  2. I have had a bucket load of revolvers and love the mechanics of the things. S&W revolvers are really easy to tune up for smooth double action shooting. I have had Titaninium .357's, 9mm Taurus, 9mm Ruger and the usual suspects in .38 and .357 steel revolvers including other S&W's, Rugers and Rossi's. The only problem I had was with a Taurus 85 that had light primer strikes. Personally I carry a Kel Tec .32 and a Glock 19. My experience is that the DA Revolvers need to have a very nice smooth pull to shoot well. If I were to get another, and I might, I would get a .38 S&W in the 640 series. Ballistically, good .38+P are enough. Good geography selections and positive attitude will eliminate all but .2% of all trouble, good shot placement will take care of the rest. Practice shooting 3x5 cards with a 1" dot in the middle.

    Model 19 Glock

I try out various guns and have bought, sold and traded more than I should have. Oddly enough I still have the Glock 19 I got 4 years ago. I am going to try out the S&W M&P and that H&K45 looks interesting if it is produced. In the maturation of polymer I would think that Glock would want to retain market share that is being eaten up by adjustable grip polymer pistols. I am hoping the Glock 30SF (short frame) has a somewhat better feel for me than the G30. The Glock 19 is a very good pistol: reliable, easy to self-service, inexpensive and easily accessable parts and aftermarket stuff. Pretty easy to carry concealed. It is a hard pistol to fault. Its greatest virtues are: shoots any ammo pretty well and is durable.
  5. I have one on an old Mossberg .22, works great and for the money a person probably can't beat it. Much nicer than my old Redfield Adj Obj scope. Craig in Clarksville
  6. I have an 83 yr old shooting buddy who has me shooting what he calls "reality drills" using 3x5 cards. Put a 1" dot in the middle of that card and concentrate and you will be surprised at how well you can shoot, after some practice. Much cheaper than other paper targets I think and you can line up a bunch of them. Harder to do on a shooting course like one of my friend's has on his farm though, but it is good to concentrate at hitting that sized of target I think. Having said that we usually move up to 10 yards when shooting short barrelled guns that seem designed for more up close and personal relationships. However, my older shooting buddy keeps chastising me about the Kel Tec .32 of .380, in that I call them a "belly gun" and he calls them "fine shooting instruments" if you just use them properly. He likely has 150 handguns from Hamilton Bowen customs down to Bersas & Kel Tecs and the like. Looks to me that the CS45 might be a fine shooting instrument in the right circumstances and might be able to hit 3x5 cards consistently all things considered. Just wanted to see what the machine was supposed to be capable of. What I am capable of relaxed or under stress is a whole different issue.
  7. When you say "not the most accurate," what do you mean? Can you hit 6 shots in a 4" circle at 15 yards two-handed? Also, how does it compare with a Glock 30 in size. I haven't handled a GS45 and am interested. I want a small .45 that is well made and works every time without having to send it back to the manufacturer. I would like to try a S&W, but will go back to the Glock "well" if I have to. I'm not interested in the micro-"1911's."
  8. Does anyone have good or bad comments concerning the S&W CS45? I see that used that they are in the $450.00 range. Are they worth the money? Craig
  9. If you have a Kel Tec you need to look at this website: http://www.goldenloki.com/guns/keltec/keltec.htm and this one: http://www.ktrange.com/ and this one: http://www.ktog.org/
  10. I've tried carrying a bunch in the last few years. Out of the box the Glock is the only handgun that I truly trust. The Glock is not my favorite handgun ergonomics-wise, but it is a tool that I can depend on and easily adapt to. They are the easiest to work on handgun I have ever fiddled with including JMB's masterpiece. Summary: An efficient durable tool, designed well enough ergonomically, designed very well mechanically, easy to put into operation well, abundant parts - stock or aftermarket, easy to work on and maintain; all at a decent price.
