  1. Great looking pistol and holster. Good job.
  2. Maybe this is a stupid question but what the hell do you guys carry all the time that requires a bag? I carry a briefcase but it's for the files I need in court and I don't carry it otherwise? What do y'all carry in these things?

    Sig P230

I love my P230. Reliable and a great shooter. I've never carried it, but I love to shoot it.
  4. Yes, it should be. I thought the poll attached to the story was interesting.
  5. http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/judge-who-brandished-gun-1367412.html I must admit this made me laugh.

  7. Well, I grew up in Indiana where they raise a hog or two. My best friend ran a farm and had about 50 hogs including 5 boars. I'd just soon take them from afar, thanks. There was a farrowing operation down the road about 3 miles. It had about 1,000 head in farrowing buildings. When I was in high school a man that worked at the operation was going through one of the buildings that had 6 month old barrows. Somehow he either slipped or was knocked down and he was seriously mauled before he was pulled out. I keep my distance from wild hogs.
  8. I tend more toward Scotch rather than bourbon and my new favorite is: The Glenlivet Nadurra , 16 year old , 57.7 ABV , £40 Colour :Golden straw Nose : Fragrant and vibrant, lots of vanilla, wood spice, and floral notes, on top of some honey and toasted oak and ripe bananas, from the 1st fill American oak casks used. Palate: Viscous and oily on the tongue. Vanilla, Peppers, oak, and some fruits (peaches, apples) with a gingery edge. Finish : Long and drying, with hints of Anise, bitter fruit pulps, and burnt sugar.
  9. I have a Winchester in 45-70 that I bought for taking hogs.
  10. Rest in Peace. May God comfort all those who have suffered and bless the child he rescued.
  11. Chip, has given very good advice here. I see bad DIY wills quite often. For what it costs to do a will package (a will, a durable POA, and a living will) from a lawyer you can certainly save yourself or your loved ones a great deal of money and hassle down the road.
  12. I, too, am a Sig fan. I love my 238 and carry it in any circumstance where clothing makes my 220 impractical. I have a pocket holster for the 238 as well as an IWB tuckable. It is, in my view the best of the pocket carriable .380s. I am also awaiting the 938 as its dimensions suggest the it will be just as carriable as the 238 and probably even in the same holsters. I'm not criticizing either the Kahr or the Kel-Tec, but I'll stick with Sig, even for the price difference.
  13. What Mike said! Welcome
  14. I carry a Sig 220 everyday in a Galco SkyOps at 4:00.
  15. I'm color blind as well, but that wasn't what I was referring to. Well I went back to the thread and the graphic to which I referred is now gone. It was a dial with O-15-30 on the dial and it was pointed to zero. It was righy next to my name beyond the online indicator. I'd never seen it before and was simply curious as to what it was.

    Sig 938

I often carry the 238 as either a pocket gun or IWB as a back up to my 220. A great gun. I'm drolling over the photos I've seen mean it will be my next purchase.
  17. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/68173-gps-devices-4th-amendment.html Just curious. I've never noticed it before.
  18. I found this decision interesting. I do agree with it, but the reasoning is, well, different. Putting a GPS on a suspect's vehicle requires a warrant but simnply following him does not. This is simply an easy way for police to follow a suspect. Compare that to the ruling that police don't need a warrant to search your cell phone. The reasoning there was that there's no expectation of privacy in a cell phone. Frankly, I see that as ridiculous. These types of inconsistency in the application of Constitutional rights continues to puzzle me and make me wonder if the USSChas any consistent legal philosophy by which to judge these issues.
  19. I regularly do D&N cases in both Sumner and Davidson counties. DCS is paranoid, let me emphasize this PARANOID, about firearms in a foster home. I've heard this brought up multiple times and never cease to be amazed. Our Juvenile Judge, in Sumner, is firearm friendly, but if DCS had its way, they would disarm EVERY family with whom they come into contact. Depending upon the agency you want to foster through, many of have a contract restriction on their foster parents prohibiting firearms in the home. Make sure you read your foster care agreement carefully.
  20. I like untaxed liquor and the taxed versions I've had lately which include the Great Smokey Mountain variety.
  21. Dos Marguritas in Gallatin was for a long time posted with gun buster signs but early in December those signs came down. I had talked to the manager a couple of times about it and requested the change, but I really didn't expect it. Not only great Mexican food, but now gun friendly, too.
  22. I love mine. I carry it in a custom High Noon pocket holster with my initials on it. Got one like it for my son, as well.
  23. Wonderful story, Mike. Good for your daughter. By the way, I'm not a member at Fairview.
  24. Yes. TVA property is federal. At least, that's my understanding.
