  1. May I ask: who is the manufacturer of that reciever extension?
  2. That writer would love my room!
  3. The salsa I make is what most places would call Pico d 'gaio (spelling is probably off)- its chopped tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime juice. I do like the blender stuff at some restaurants but not at home. I have a Mexican faction that married into my family and they make/bring to family gatherings something that looks like tomato juice but tastes (for a brief second before searing your mouth) like fiery hell! For a time, I suspected they were just playing a prank on the non-Mexican folk but they actually eat it.
  4. I can't vouch for them...I found them while searching Arfcom for a 14.5" Noveske barrel. I ended up purchasing it elsewhere, however.

  6. That explains a lot! I thought I was just getting old...
  7. Might satisfy my desire to own a suppress -able carbine in .45 acp.
  8. I was entertained by the comments following that one!
  9. That article was weird...I've met a lot of people but never anyone who admitted to feeling this way.  She's entitled to her opinion, I suppose, but I'm saddened for her.   I'm curious what other "natural" ways animals have to procreate.  Public pools?
  10. What kind of training do Navy SEALs get in Indiana???

  13. Thanks for the offer...I'm gonna try to meet up with a previous poster in the coming days. If no success, I may ship it to you. I too, feel like the data should still be there. It's simply not coming on-perhaps a battery or power supply issue or a broken screen/digitizer. I gently opened it and looked at the connections that could be seen without removing stuff-that's when I realized that I'm too clumsy/old to be rebuilding iPhones.
  14. No.
  15. I tried for varying lengths of time...no luck. Thanks!
  16. I think either 3G or 3GS...I've never been much of a smart phone person so Im not very knowledgeable-I can't find any markings. I upgraded to a 4s when this one broke and would have been content just keeping my 3. The features of the newer models are wasted on me. I'd really like to get my contacts, though.
  17. I have an iPhone 3 that I used until recently...I dropped the phone and now it doesn't power up. The screen has no visible damage. I never synced the phone and don't really care about the hardware as I've since replaced the phone. My issue is: I'd really like to recover the photos and contacts. Is this possible? The sim card does not work in my new phone and when I put it into a different phone, only some of the contacts came with it. Any ideas?
  18. I had u-verse (after switching from Comcast) until my recent move...I loved the u-verse service and wish it was available in my new area. I gave Comcast a try again and was (again)disappointed so now I use DirectTV. Even with the limited service and super lousy Internet speed, I still take DirectTV (or anything!!) over Comcast.
  19. Interesting question...I look forward to reading others' responses. I couldn't possibly narrow it down to 10, though. Maybe: -good, common 9mm semi/pistol for edc. -ar15 type rifle for home/civil defense -.22 lr of some type for feasting on rodents -12 gauge of some variety for feasting on birds With that, my needs are covered. It's the "everything else" that gets me...
  20. Picked up my upper/lower today...thanks again to all who made this possible.
  21. I have one as well as a torque wrench and barrel nut wrenches for most major brands. I'd be happy to assist established TGO members in the Sumner area if they would like to stop by and torque their barrel on. I'm not a gunsmith and the use of tools is free.
  22. I was about to post the exact same thing...for ~$600, the thing better last a loooong time.
  23. Converting from a USC to a UMP clone...or keeping the low cap mags and fixed stock of the USC in which case, the Storm is cheaper -and still in production.
  24. By "roll pin", I was referring to what some call a spring pin which some folks have debated the legality of installing without welding...I probably misunderstood the words "one pin, unwelded" and offered the roll pin thing as a possible explanation. Anyway, I'm not sure that a roll pin, unwelded or otherwise, is legal so to be clear-I'm not recommending it.
  25. I've really got a craving for some kind of .45 acp carbine...I've tried my hand with AR's in 9mm but really want something different this time. The HK USC and UMP clones are cool but I don't really want a project right now. I think I've settled on the Beretta despite its atrocious mag capacity-I really just want a toy in .45 ACP that I can thread and put a suppressor on. Anyone have direct experience with one and have any thoughts? General impression? Is it durable/well built? I've seen online reviews, just looking for other opinions if they are out there. Any other .45 carbines that you'd recommend, instead? I'd really love a bolt action but I've given up on that option.
