  1. Sending you a pm.
  2. Thanks, all…I saw “Jesse James” ammo but never considered the rifle was built by him. Reddit claims it’s around $3500 but it’s not advertised on his site. It’s called the Califa or Califas… It doesn’t use a standard ar recoil system-no extension or buffer. im smitten by it but the pic above is obviously an SBR so that and $3500 kills it for me. Still though-never thought I’d see such an appealing ‘featureless’ rifle.
  3. Does anyone recognize this? It has takedown pins like an AR but is different in so many ways! thanks!
  4. That’s my conclusion as well...I guess I’m wearing shoes in my yard from now on! I’ve lived here for 6+ years and I’m surprised I haven’t seen one before...heavily wooded on a hillside facing south. I think kingsnakes eat them and I have a lot of kingsnakes so maybe that’s why. thanks all for the comments.
  5. Here is a higher resolution picture if anyone is interested. https://imgur.com/a/96ZsE46
  6. Yeah, sorry to be so vague...I’m just reluctant to be ‘that guy’ who misidentifies every snake as a Copperhead or Rattlesnake. I’ve only seen a rattlesnake in the wild 2-3 times in a lot of years being outside. Based on that very limited experience, rattlesnake is my guess. I was hoping someone with more knowledge could say it’s a pine snake or garter snake or... I see a lot of king snakes, northern water snakes, ring neck snakes and an occasional garter snake around my property. I’m certain it’s not one of those.
  7. Thats actually pretty funny! I feel confident that I know what kind of snake it is but I was hoping for an expert to assure me-I’ve seen threads like this in the past so I feel like there might be some herpetology types around. but yeah-if it is what I think it is, I’m definitely curious what ate him on my deck box!
  8. Belly, if it helps...
  9. ***pictures at bottom of a dead snake-possibly considered gory to some so run away now if you’re sensitive. ***also, I don’t kill snakes or fear them-this one was killed and partially eaten by another animal. I’m in Sumner County in a heavily wooded location. I regularly see snakes on my property and know pretty well what most of them are. That said, I’m definitely not an expert. I found a partially eaten snake on my patio yesterday. I’m seeking an expert opinion to help id it. It was missing its head and its tail -hence the difficulty id’ing it for me. The section I found is roughly the diameter of a regular sharpie and approx. 4 inches long. edit: I’m limited on picture size-I can text/email much clearer pictures if needed thanks in advance!
  10. Thanks all for the comments...that Thorsden cheek rest might be what I go with.
  11. I'm looking to complete an AR pistol...I don't like the aesthetics of most of the braces I've seen. I ran across an airsoft gun while shopping on Amazon and it seems that most of these things are made to look like actual parts that are available. I'm wandering if anyone can ID either of the stocks im attaching pictures of. I realize that-in the case of the airsoft gun, the stock may not be an actual pistol brace if it even exists in real life. Still-I'd like to know who makes it. The other stock appears to be a brace but with the straps removed. I also know that this is a bad idea and don't intend to do it. But I'd like to see it in its entirety to decide if I can use it.
  12. Perhaps this has been addressed elsewhere but if having a trust means my background isn't checked, then what happens during the examiners time with my paperwork?  I know, it sits in a box for a long time but is their only job to check for errors on the forms?  If that's all they do, hire a couple of high school teachers to "grade" these things and the backlog would go away in a week!   I've also done the non-trust method for purchasing NFA items and I don't know that the Sherriff did any kind of check-I didn't fill out a form like when purchasing a firearm-I just dropped them off and picked them up the next day.
  13. If Ruger ever re-releases the sp101 in a 3" barreled version again, it's going straight to the top of my list!
  14. I'm in Sumner County...I have the tool and it's super easy to do. If I'm not too far, pm me and we'll set it up.
  15. I opened this expecting it to be another of your humorous posts! To your other point: I have two sons and am grateful for that every day!
