  1. Unfortunately, no. That's why I didn't phrase that, "I 100% believe that Arsenal, Inc. is at the top of this list of AK-47 manufacturers on this planet--possibly in the known galaxy." I'm basing my injection off numerous accounts of complete happiness in dealing with the company/shooting their products. The majority vote is pretty hard to beat.
  2. I'd have to say Arsenal is up there...
  3. ^ That's a good price, nowadays.

    XD guys

So what would be an improvement over the SERPA?
  5. I agree with Caster.

    That's news to me.

    XD guys

    How do you mean?
  8. Yeah, I won't be too mad if it isn't up to spec, I'm still learning about this platform, anyway. Thanks for the link, I'll give it a look.

    XD guys

I have a Crossbreed and a Blackhawk SERPA. Both are highly recommended
  10. Updated with the pruchase of the rail in the previous post ^ And the purchase of the gas block.
  11. I wonder if they work with .22 conversion kits...
  12. Whoa, a bit pricey for my billfold. If it comes to that, I won't hesitate, but until then I think I'm going to follow up with some reviews of this one: Samson Mfg: AR-15, AK-47, Sig 556 Rails and Accessories: Samson Evolution Series It's light, and fits the bill for a bipod and flashlight attachment (if there's a need for it).
  13. Well, I'm saving some serious cash on the upper receiver so I figured I could splurge on a good rail. Maybe Samson
  14. Those are some pretty out-there calibers, TS. I like the 5.56/223. Also, who here thinks I should pick out another railed forearm?
  15. So I'm selling my wife's A2 carbine-length upper so I could replace it with a mid-length flattop. I've been meaning to do this for some time because she and I both want her to learn medium-ranged (possibly farther) shooting. We have a scope (the recently acquired DMS-1), so the next step was putting together a new upper. Now, I know what you're thinking, why not just buy an upper that's already been put together? Well, that just wouldn't be fun . SO I've been searching the various forums for the past few weeks, and doing a little bit of research of my own, and pretty much found what I needed for this build (with the exception of a flash hider--still not sure what to do) and I'm damn happy. Who wants a list? Too bad, 'cause I made one. Bought List: Barrel: http://www.riflegear.com/p-1058-daniel-defense-chrome-lined-barrel-16-midlength-stripped.aspx YHM QD flash hider: YHM Phantom 5.56 Flash Hider/ Supressor Mount Upper receiver: Purchased a Noveske off a member on another forum for $10 (he's trustworthy, and even if I have a cool paperweight) Decided on a free float forearm instead of the quad rail below: Samson Mfg: AR-15, AK-47, Sig 556 Rails and Accessories: Samson Evolution Series Low Profile Gas Glock (I'm putting a sight on the rail): http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Yankee-Hill-Machine-Low-Profile-Gas-Block-yhm-p/yhm-9383 gas block short.htm Midlength Gas tube: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/AR15-mid-length-gas-tube-p/gas tube - mid length.htm Charging handle: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-GUNFIGHTER-Charging-Handle-GFH-Mod-3-p/bcm gfh mod 3 556.htm Bipod adapter for railed forearms: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Yankee-Hill-Machine-Bipod-Adaptor-yhm-p/yhm-638.htm Unbought List: Harris bipod: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Harris-S-LM-Bipod-p/harris s-lm.htm Bolt carrier assembly: http://www.riflegear.com/p-623-lmt-full-auto-bolt-carrier-assembly-complete.aspx
  16. Yeah, Treyarch kind of screwed the pooch with BlOps. and this is coming from a die-hard fan of the third COD. i don't have high hopes for COD, I'm just hoping I'll enjoy it, which seems to be the case.
  17. Another gameplay video. Wow. YouTube - ‪Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - E3 Stage Gameplay‬‏
  18. You've just struck a money pit. Not a bad thing at all, though. You'll love it when it turns out as yours.
  19. I didn't believe it would be zero'd in, DS, but I appreciate you bringing that up. Some people are uneducated to that fact. I knew what he meant by saying, "it would be on paper." Thanks, though.
  20. I figured as much. Maybe I'm just a bad shot. Nah....
  21. XD9SC is my favorite pistol. It's good to go. But switching from a Glock to a XD is like switching from a SUV to a sports car, IMO. It's going to take some getting used to because they both drive so differently (at least to me). Also been looking at the Kahr CM9--everybody loves those.
  22. I'm rebuilding the upper that this scope is going on, and a folding sight is on the list. It's piecing together agonizingly slow, but I can't complain if I'm getting somewhere.
  23. ****, Ken, I didn't think about that last. I guess I'll just go shoot with it just for fun. I will check, though, just to be sure. Thanks again for this cool scope!
  24. Just to mention real quick, I have heard nothing but good things about the Arsenal AK line. And thanks for clarification on the Maadis, TD.
  25. Stay away from Century and Maadi. If either of those are stamped on the receiver, step away.
