I've used Ballistol for years and am well satisfied with it.  Also have used Mobil 1Synthetic.  Both work well.

I have one that had been through a fire. Managed to de-rust it and had it cerokoted.  Warning, do not totally dissemble it as it is a real bear to reassemble. Colt forum has info on the 1903, as well as tons of info on youtube.  There are vendors that make repro grips, and magazines.  In original good condition, the gun is probably worth upward of $600.00. Congrats on the 1903.

Bigfeet are common around here.  I see them late evenings when they are walking their possums.  They always show up when we are grilling bratwursts, and  having a glass of ripple.   They seem nice enough. :rofl:
