I was just recently in the market for a 9mm 1911 and after lots of research and forum reading heres what i came up with. IF you looking to buy a compact 9mm 1911 i would sugguest a springfield emp. If your looking for a full size the STI trojan. I ened up picking up the emp and love it.

I thought i needed a eotech aswell but after researching them i spent a 1/3 of the money. And there stuff is setup to cowitness with irons. Primary Arms Multi-Reticle Red Dot Sight
  10. If you havnt looked in to STI you need to check them out.

    9mm 1911 ?'s

i was looking for one aswell, but there isnt a budget compact 1911 9mm. A compact one runs about 1k. For the money RIA is your best bet. Taurus also makes a full size that has a budget price tag, but i would stick with a RIA if you dont wanna spend 1k
  16. I took the judge to the range last weekend, and we tossed skeet up by hand. My old lady broke the first traget she shoot at, and was able to break 3 out of the 5 targets on her best round. i was tossing them about 15-20 feet away

  19. how crowded does the chuck swan wma get on the weekends anyone know? Norris is nice during the week but forget about it on the weekends. Way to many ppl. Bubbling springs out in newport is a great place to go.
  20. Im looking to pick up my first 1911 but im leaning towards one in 9mm. I go to the range just about every weekend and so the cost of 45 ammo plays apart in my decision. The springfield emp, kimber and STI seem to be the only ones people are talking about when i research them. What are your guys thoughts about them? Any suggestions outside of thoses 3? Any know if there is a range around knoxville where i could rent any of them?
