  1. I'm looking to buy .223 (5.56) 55 gr. bullets to reload. This will be my first effort for this caliber. When I access various websites, they all list dimensions as .224. I never see anything labelled .223 or 5.56. What am I missing? Is the .224 what I'm looking for? Also, if you have any recommendations on websites or brands, please share. Thanks in advanced and Happy Holidays!
  2. Do we bring our own revolver? If not, want us to bring ammo?
  3. I have often wondered about this and have had intention of giving it a shot. Yes, pun intended. I do have one question. What type guns do people use? If I line up to play, I'm I shooting against a bunch of race guns?
  4. What do all the different labeling of members mean? TGO Newcomer TGO Freshmen TGO Member TGO Senior Member ... etc?
  5. This topic has initiated the purchase, of equipment, and beginning of my life as a re-loader.
  6. Well said, DaveTN! Will you be my valen ... uh, lawyer?
  7. I absolutely agree with everything you have posted. But ... she did say you CAN shoot them (via Supreme Court ruling). I know, it sounds stupid. That's why I asked her to repeat, 3 times. I am going to follow up with her ASAP and start digging for her "evidence" or lack thereof.
  8. Any suggestions on where, or how, to buy powder and primers? Thanks in advanced.
  9. A couple of days ago, I met a female police officer that made a comment that I still question and have a hard time believing. I asked her to repeat, three times, and I received the same adamant response. And I paraphrase, “The Supreme Court has ruled, that if you catch a perpetrator breaking into your car, without you in it, you can shoot that individual. The Supreme Court has ruled that you have the right to protect your property.†Now, protecting life is one thing, but protecting property? This is way different than anything I have ever been taught or read. I have researched for information regarding this and, as expected, have found none. This person lives in my neighborhood. Although this was a one-time meeting, I am going to attempt to recover some kind of referencing. Pending I feel safe walking to the front door and knocking? Wouldn’t want to threaten anyone’s property. Insights?
  10. All, This thread is just to d**n fun. You guys are all way cool and I apprecdiate all the input! I've ordered the ABCs of Reloading today and am heavily researching everyone's advice. Articles, YouTube and threads ... oh my!
  11. Well, the title pretty much sums it up ... I've been thinking about reloading for several months and now I think it's time to get started. Got any suggestions on getting started? I could pour through these posts, but I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for. 9mm, .45 ACP, 5.56x 45mm. Thanks in advanced.
  12. I have the Keltec PF9 and the Kahr PM9. They're both excellent pocket pistols. I far prefer the pocket pistols for ease, comfort and convenience. There are several very good pocket holster available. I would leave the pistol at home if I had the fumble with a OWB or IWB holster everyday. Both these pistols carry just as easily as the Ruger LCP, and they shoot better (at least for me). I use to carry the LCP and changed to the 9mm.
  13. Any recommendations on ear protection? Something that will allow me to hear a timer buzzer or someone talking? Thanks in advanced.
  14. Yeah, I think that's it. I cleaned the c**p out of it. I keep my guns very clean and do so after every shoot, but after 600-700 rounds, at the end of the day, I suppose it got grity.
  15. Hi All. I was out shooting, my handgun, a lot this weekend and started noticing a grinding feeling in the trigger. This occured toward the back of the pull, just prior to break. Any ideas?
  16. Regarding Keltec P32, that was the worst I've ever had, also. Rim Lock!!! This is a common problem with .32 calibur.

    Why Glock?

So, does this mean Glock is as much FAD as FACT?

    Why Glock?

Ok, this may create a firestorm, but ..... whatever! How come there's a Glock for sale every day? Glock seems to be the most posted handgun, for sale, on the Classified. Any classified.
  19. I have to ask. I have wondered about this for some time ... Respectfully, do folks feel confident "carrying" a Hi Point? I might understand playing with it, at the range, and maybe you have excellent results. Hypothetically speaking, if you knew you were walking into a gun fight, would you trust a Hi Point with your life?
  20. The 9mm's I own: Sig P229 Springfield XDM CZ 75B Kahr PM9 Keltec PF9 Until 2 weeks ago, HK P2000 SK. I really like all these guns. The one gun I could never do without and will always own. My best shooter ... CZ 75B - bought it for $500, brand new.
  21. I concur. He still runs Armadillo Arms. Once the guns are distributed (in 42 states), Armadillo Arms will be a retailer, of course. The production plant is in Alabama. It got wiped out by a tornado and will be 90 days for the rebuild process. If you guys want to buy that Ruger, call him. He'll order and sell to you at cost plus 10%. Very competitive with internet sales, even with tax. P.S. No, I do not work for him. Just a long time customer.
  22. This company has come into existence over the past 6-12 months. Tony Bellione (spelling on last name?) is the co-founder. He owns Armadillo Arms in Franklin. I use to buy guns and stuff from him all the time. Because of this new business, he's not around much anymore.
  23. Spend your money on a Keltec PF9. April 2011 GUN TESTS magazine gives it an A rating. I bought one based on this review and it has replaced my Ruger LCP with CT laser. I like the 9mm vs .380, and the Keltec is just as easy to conceal in my front pocket. There is really not any difference in recoil, IMO. You can find a Keltec for $300 and add a CT laser for $125 (Optic Planet), after rebate. Always Google for the Optic Planet 5% off code. It's always available. Optic Planet is also free shipping. No, I do not work for them. Good Luck, Going to the gun show and selling the Ruger.
  24. Consider the SIG E2. It is the newer, thinner more ergonomic version. I have it in the 229 and it is an awesome shooter. Personally, I shoot SIG better.
