LOL actually that does help, I was taking them with me a lot, one or the other and sometimes both but there are places I couldn't take them like Walmart and that is when I decided enough was enough and got the handgun and carry permit. This person of whom I refer actually came to my door and when he saw my dobermans he backed up as they stood there and growled at him. This was before he threatened me.

I was threatened and it is my word against his so I have no recourse on a verbal threat that only I heard. I was miserable going anywhere alone. I finally decided to take the safety course and get a carry permit so that I could protect myself if I need to. I don't like to go anywhere without my handgun.

I didn't know Mars in person but when I read that he had passed I felt sadness. It doesn't take meeting someone face to face to care about them and though Mars was a hoot about the Glocks I could tell he was a man of character. He gave a lot for his country and I will definitely miss his presence here.

Well I figured the FMJ would do better all around as far as target practise so I am gonna try them and it makes sense about the penetration but I just thought the hollowpoints were better for defense. Is that only for a bigger caliber? I guess everyone is gonna have a difference of opinion on that right? I just want my cute little LCP to work right LOL, I am gonna feed it some FMJ and see if it likes me better! Anyway, thanks everyone for your input!

Thanks eyebedarn and I LOVED it, it actually surprised me a lot on how good it feels when it goes bang. I expected a lot more recoil than I got. I will definitely try the FMJ's then go back and try the JHP's. I was gonna get the FMJ's first and my husband told me I needed to get the JHP's cause that is what I would be using in it for self defense so I got a box of the Fiocchi. I had never tried them before. I hope it is the ammo and not the gun, I really like it.

I haven't had time to get back out with it anymore but I bought a box of JHP's and to be honest, I had a few FTF's and a couple of jams. I ended up shooting 45 of the 50. In the beginning it was going pretty good until I shot about 30 and then it started acting up. Not sure if it is because it doesn't like JHP's or if the ammo was considered cheap. So if anyone can help me out here I would appreciate it. I used Fiocchi 90 GRS. JHP

From what I see at this point, Sarah Palin is in nobodies pocket, she thinks for herself and she is a strong independent woman that has shown that she can make tough decisions for what is best for what ever office she holds. I think McCain made a great choice. Packin, I think those trikes are so cute, I see quite a few on the road, they are definitely interesting looking. Hope you get a ride on one then you can let us know how it feels. I am enjoying my motorcycle a lot, I have already put almost 1000 miles on it and I haven't gotten to take a long trip yet, we are still waiting on Mark's bike. Then we want to take some trips out through Gatlinburg, Cades Cove and places like that.

LOL yeah it is cute. I can only speak for the Kel-tec at the moment but they are a lot alike, the kel-tec shoots accurate enough for me to rely on it for protection at a close range. I wouldn't have a problem with it for its intended purpose. I am sure the LCP will be the same. These guns are not "fun" guns to shoot but they are powerful enough to be the perfect conceal guns, this is all only MY OPINION of course so anyone needs to check these things out for themselves.

Where is that dralarms? I thought at first it is the one down near Gee Creek but I don't think it is.

HAHAHA Yes Yes, Natosha is right, but even more so, the range I go to shoot has different summer hours and I just haven't been able to get my sorry behind down there to try it out. LOL too cute! If only, huh? I have the LCP, was number 1 on the list of my newest favorite gun shop. BUT I have been very bad and I have NOT shot my LCP yet!! I am hoping too soon, the range I shoot at has different hours through the summer and is a few miles away and I have been very busy so I just haven't been able to get there. I HOPE to soon, I am anxious to see how she shots compared to the Kel-tec I just gave hubby.

I live in McMinn Co and as far as size it is great, there are small towns close by, Cleveland, Athens, Niota (blink and you miss it) Decatur (another blink) but I can be in Knoxville or Chattanooga in about the same amount of time, 45 minutes to an hour according to traffic. I prefer Knoxville, don't like Chattanooga at all but that is my preference. Lots on the East TN side.

I carry a round in the chamber and 10 in the mag, that's it as far as my G 26 but sometimes I have a bug on me also.
