  1. To think that there are people out there that want this man in, I hope to God we don't see this man elected to run our country. I think we are in trouble this go round.
  2. I think you will find that concealing is much easier with an IWB holster or a belly band even. I use both any given time. I actually haven't had to get a bigger size jeans. I usually carry between 1 and 2 o'clock which puts it right in front of my hip bone or at a cross draw which I guess would be 11 o'clock if I am thinking this right
  3. Congrats Mike, on the 14th of November 2006 was my last cig. I had smoked 10 years and was up to 2 packs a day easy. I still want one at times but I know I am one cigerette away from starting again and so I won't smoke that one. My husband stopped about a week after me and we have saved lots of money, the cars aren't stinky anymore. I did gain weight but I am now working that off at the gym.
  4. I like my Kel-tec P3AT, it's very easy to conceal. It doesn't bother me that it doesn't have a safety on it, actually none of my handguns do although my CZ PCR has a decocker, my G26 doesn't have anything. I use to think I would not want to carry a handgun without a safety on it. I am a woman and I always keep one in the chamber when carrying. If the time were to come that I need this tool for protection then not having one in the chamber could mean a sec or two changing the outcome for me. What I learned by having handguns without a safety is that I must always handle that gun with respect, it keeps me keen and always mindful of it. In my way of thinking it is better for me to always handle that gun that way than get comfortable with a safety and then AD one because I "thought" the safety was on. Don't get me wrong, all guns, safety or not have to be respected.
  5. Thanks darkstar!
  6. Hey PackinMama, you need to handle my CZ 75D PCR when we meet at the gun show, you might fall in love with it I checked out the Kahrs at Coal Creek one day because a customer heard me say I wanted to see the CZ so he started telling me that Kahr had a good 9mm so I handled it and didn't care for it myself BUT I had my sites on the CZ that day! Once I held the PCR and felt it in my hands the Kahr felt ackward.
  7. TNDixieGirl, you have a good kid, he's learning responsibility early. My 17 year old son is the same way. He works part time all year, does good in school, bought his own car, pays his own insurance and cell phone bill, he started when he was 15. He joined the Army Reserves at the beginning of his Jr year and will be going to Basic this summer and I am dreading it. He will then come back and take his senior year and graduate and he hasn't decided if he will go on to college first or go active. He came home the other night in a uniform and I cried, he looks just like a baby in it. OK sorry to hijack the thread, had to brag on my baby, the youngest of four.
  8. jpruett, I usually hear one of two things, one serious and one a joke, the joke is "do I have more than two teeth" LOL and the one that really cracks me up is when someone finds out I am originally from WV and seriously tells me that they know someone from WV then they proceed to tell me their name and ask me if I know them. I suppose they either think WV is about the size of a tiny city or they think there are only 10 people there and we all know each other?!?!?!?!
  9. Right now I carry either my Glock 26 with IWB holster or with a belly band and I use Remington Golden Saber HPJ. OR I carry my Kel-tec P3AT in IWB holster and I use Federal Premium Hydro-shok Personal Defense. I have carried my new CZ 75D PCR a couple of times but I don't have a holster for it yet and will do so more when I get a good holster for it. I am sure that the P3AT will be carried the most this summer because it is small and very easily hidden.
  10. My two black dogs clear the path for me when I'm walking down the street. These are my girls, Da'Kari and Eden.
  11. well strickj if you lived in West Virginia you might be able to have that draft beer and carry
  12. OK I know where Bluefield is, been there, have done youth camp for our local church in Ghent which is kinda close to Bluefield but that was many years ago. When in WV I lived near Matewan which is on the KY border. Home of the Hatfields and McCoys and the feud. I was actually married to a McCoy for a few years and have four McCoy children.
  13. LOL saintsfanbrian! I was driving down a street last week, speed limit was 30, a cop comes up behind me and I glanced down and was going 32, glanced back into the rear view mirror and the lights were going, I said DANG, slid the gun a little further under my leg and pulled over, cop goes around me and goes after the guy in the truck in front of us that was zooming right on up the street. Boy was I thanking God that it was NOT ME!!! Hahaha!
  14. +1 Thanks Fallguy!!!
  15. Hey James, what part of WV are you from? I was born and raised in WV but have lived in TN for almost 11 years now.
  16. razorback, that may seem like the logical thing to do and I have thought about that also, I love going camping and to me if there is ever a place that one needs protection it is while camping BUT here is the question, if we have our handgun on us and we need to use it then what? As long as it is hidden and not used no one is the smarter but IF we come under attack either by a BG or say a BB (bad bear) and because we are not supposed to have a gun on us in these parks how much deeper will we be in doo doo if we have to protect ourself. This question has ran over and over in my mind. Then I come to the realization that I would rather be in trouble with the law than be six feet under. Yet I go back to the "I am trying to be a law abiding citizen" part of me that I am.

    CZ 75 D PCR

My local gun store got the order in today and has a CZ 75D PCR on the way for me, supposed to be in by the weekend, I am so excited! I'm already looking for some pretty grips for it, but Mark is wanting to get me a set of Crimson Trace laser grips for one of my guns for my anniversary. Not sure yet which I want it for, the Glock or the CZ 75D PCR.

    My Birthday Toy

Happy belated Birthday, can't get a better present than a gun, very nice.
  20. Welcome Bastet, glad to have you aboard. I carry a Glock 26 or a Kel-tec P3AT and have a CZ 75D PCR on order, I may carry it at times. The Kel-tec is the easiest to conceal but I really like my Glock for carry. This summer will be the trying time, I will most likely carry my Kel-tec the most during hot weather.
  21. MrsS, it still takes me a bit of time with navigating the forum also, I manage to mostly hit two different forums, the Handgun section and the Concealed carry one, sometimes I wonder into different ones and find great reading, I just can't seem to get enough time to read each different forum. That is how I missed your intro post. So welcome again!
  22. Howdy MrsS, glad you made it over here, I didn't see this post until you posted in Ladies Rollcall in the other section! There is a lot of great info here, enjoy!
  23. That was neat, go women!!!! I think it is wonderful that women are starting to think about their own safety and making that move to protect themselves. I only wish I had started shooting when I was younger, I find it very enjoyable and I love having something to do with my husband that he likes also.
  24. LOL so ok, I'm a dweeb Ha! I can do that, here ya go.
