Hehehe, it took 12 years? Just teasing! Well my husband and I have a few things in common but when we started shooting together it seems to be one of the funnest things we have found in common so far. I am the one that got the ball rolling by going to get my permit and buying a handgun. Now we try to shoot together at least every other week.

Lets share pics of our handguns and any thoughts of what we want to add to our collection. I got my handgun carry permit in January of this year. I carry just about every place I go now, I don't leave the house without one of these on me. Here are my three. A CZ 75D PCR 9mm, my Glock 26 9mm and the Kel-tec P3AT .380 A close up of my new CZ

I don't hunt but who knows, that might be something I may try in the future.

Ohhh, so she's learning early huh?

Personally I don't mind if men want to come and give us advice when it pertains to things about guns etc, I mean they can't very well tell us how to breast feed our kids LOL but you get the point. If I had wanted to message board where men couldn't be part of I would have started a message board for just women, that's not what I want. I love the wealth of information here on TGO, I am happy to have a forum for us to post whatever we want to talk about, be it guns or crazy stuff. So NO, I don't want the men kept out, so NO to restriction. PS if there was any kind of restriction, if it won't be complicated an idea might be that only women can start them? But that all members can post to them after they are started? That is just a thought on my part.

Here we are ladies, we have a spot! Hopefully we can now discuss women issues of shooting, carry, kids, career or just whatever!!!! Just call me a Dangerous Flower!!

dariks, we are not wanting a place where that is the only place we go, I as well as I am sure other will want to be out in the other parts of the forum that we like but we just wanted a place that we can talk woman talk and things that don't pertain to men etc. We don't want a place to bash men, etc or a place that men can't come, we just want our own spot. Thank you molonlabetn!!!!! And I like the name LOL

It shows transparent on the post or so I think it does. Why won't it work in the Avatar like that?
-
I redid an Avatar for PackinMama and it should show the corners transparent but when she puts it on her Avatar spot it gets white corners. Is there a reason that it isn't working? Her previous Avatar had transparent corners and I actually used her other avatar to remake it for the colors she wanted and the gun she wanted. This is the Avatar I remade for her.

Natosha hit the nail on the head, our post get lost amongst a lot of stuff. And I am not asking for it to be a ladies only forum necessarily, if men want to throw in some advice we definitely won't shy away from it, but we women can relate to each other in ways that men can't with us. Is that not true? Also a lot of us are still trying to learn this place, where as a lot of you men have been here for a long long time and pretty much keep up with everything. If women came on here and started out in the Ladies forum and then ventured out it would make it easier and they could still come back to shore via a lady's forum. So it doesn't mean we won't participate in the other forums. As far as sending pm's, that would be a pain in the butt to have to try to communicate a particular subject to the different women on here. Where a thread will allow us to discuss something all together. Also it's not like we would want different forums for different subjects but one forum where we can have whatever threads we want to start in there. I don't think this is an unreasonable request but if you can't or won't then we will abide by your decision (lol like we would have a choice). I knew that it had been brought up before and it didn't get passed but I felt there was no harm in asking again. Sorry if I am making your job harder, that is not what was intended.

have a Ladies forum on here? I know at least four of us that want it and hopefully more, but Please can we have one just for us? Call it The Coffee Shop or something but give us a place for us to hang our curtains and talk guns and ammo etc and babies and whatever is on our minds.

I have an approximatey 1000 gallon Koi pond, I enjoy my two dobermans, and I enjoy working on webpages. I also love to play around in Paint Shop making logos and editing pictures.

Mike continue to tell yourself that because it is true, your body is trying to purge itself. Just think, what you are experiencing was caused by that stupid cig in the first place so get mad and get even! Don't let the addiction win. You've went a week without now so don't pick one up, you have it whipped! To stop picking one up I continued to tell myself that I was ONE cigerette away from starting again and I continue to hold to that. I will not pick up that one cigerette. All of us have been where you are and we did it so you and your wife can too.

Good for you aBRG2far! Working out hurts in the beginning but it starts giving me more energy. My daughter and I started out 4 weeks ago and I am starting to see the results. I am older now so it seems it takes more effort to get weight off than it did when I was younger. TNDixieGirl, that was funny, thanks for the laugh.

Got my vote in!

I don't know db99wj, I think a bottle of coke has more get up and go than that Rodeo did.
-
Nope, it was a Isuzu Rodeo and I was wrong on the number, it was a 2.2 liter LOL so just imagine how hard it was to get that thang to get some energy going up a ramp

Good points all the way, if I were afraid of my guns I wouldn't carry them, respecting something is one thing, being afraid is definitely another and IMO could cripple you if you ever need to use it. One of the most important things that was taught me about all this is KNOW YOUR GUN. I am familiar with my handguns, the Glock more than the others. I am not afraid it will go off, but that doesn't mean I don't think it could. I just don't constantly fear it is going off because I don't need to let fear rule me. A true story of something that almost changed me concerning something major in my life: I have always been a driver, there wasn't anywhere I wouldn't go, alone, with someone, or a car load, didn't matter to me, and when I moved to TN things were good, had a good car but I traded that car in on a SUV with a 4.0 motor, manual 5 speed. I had it for about 4 years and it was getting to the point that it was crippling my driving confidence because it didn't have any spunk. Now don't get me wrong, I don't need to be a zoom zoom but if I am going up a ramp to enter the interstate and there are 15 cars and a couple of 18 wheelers coming I need some SPUNK to flow into traffic but that SUV didn't have it and I started getting so nervous that I started thinking more on what could happen which added even more stress to the situation. I didn't want to go anywhere and when I did I let others drive. Last October I traded that sucker in on a Pontiac G 6 GTP and when I need to move I can move. I got my confidence back because it has the spunk to move when I want or need to move. I am no longer crippled with fear. I know that this car will do what I need it too rather than chug a lug up the ramp hoping I can flow without a big boom. You have to know your equipment and feel comfortable with it's capibility. Your life could depend on it!

At least and shoes a year before that. No more walking 2 miles each way to school barefoot in a foot of snow!

:cool:Yeah but I think we'll get over it.

Thanks everyone, it was a hard thing allowing him to jump in like that but if I hadn't let him then he would have as soon as he turned 18 but this way he will have a year and a half behind him by the time he graduates. Tyler will be going to Fort Jackson for Basic, he already goes to Knoxville one weekend once a month for drill.
